I'm a recent new subscriber. Just catching up on some of your past videos. I've been to Heptonstall a couple of times, (back when I lived in Yorkshire) and loved the atmosphere there. I wish I'd noticed and known about those old stone carvings, the lintel, and such - it's been several years, but I don't remember seeing them. I loved Hardcastle Craggs, too and visited many times. I like your videos, love the little history bits combined with the beauty of the great outdoors.

Hello Andee and thanks for the sub. I'm a bit fan of Heptonstall. I think it is one of the great villages of England....so much history. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. 🙂

A bit of a wet wonder that one Chris. There were a lot of good features in it. I donlt know about that house but the stone road sign, gate posts and the datage all over was fascinating. You guys have a fair bit left. Nice to enter the chapel and be out of the rain and even better to hear about your family. It's often like that once out the door it's a whole different matter rain or shine. All the best. Mark

Thanks Mark. I was hoping, if the weather had been slightly better, to go a bit further into the surrounding countryside, but my waterproofs were leaking big time. Saying that, it's only about half an hour away so will no doubt head over that way again sometime soon. Hopefully the pubs will be open next time too! Best wishes, Chris

Hi. Thanks for sharing the video. As a budding CZcamsr I’m looking for a decent waterproof camera to use to make videos like yours and wondered if you might be able to give any recommendations please. Thank you!

I'd either use a Go Pro Hero 12, or the DJI Osmo Action 4. I use an older GoPro Hero 10, which does me fine. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. Best wishes, Chris.

How do David. It was the detached stone house, with the chimney and telly aerial on the very top. It is just out of Hepstonstall, nearer to Slack. Cheers, Chris

bit dismal and wet and dark satanic millish, bet it was great in summer when Ted Hughes would have been out hunting and fishing.
