Yes, I know Dragon Quest XI released in 2017 in Japan. I’m talking about the international release since that’s the version everybody watching this video first had access to.
i have never played the ps4 or pc versions so the switch version already pre-orderd and this is great! 2d mode and 3d mode. its goooooooood! besides i have all the dq games (1 till 3 *game boy color*, 4 till 6 and 9 * nintendo ds* and 7 and 8 (3ds) and yes, 10 was never out in na and eu.
Lol the saltiness of this video. Nintendo probably paid for the extra contents because Sony was too cheap to do so. That's what y'all get for supporting PlayStation shit. If you want the definitive version, get a Switch. Otherwise DEAL WITH IT.
@@natatrule hahahhahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i have the switch so yeah! i have no ps4 (stopt on the 3)
oh yes, and all 9 dq games. dragon quest 1 till 3 (game boy color) 4 till 9 (nintendo ds) 7 and 8 (nintendo 3ds) but 10 is never released because 1. its to japanese i think, and 2. its an mmorpg.
@@natatrule you're the dumbest person I encountered on the Internet today. Congratulations, have a cookie.
Would not surprise me if Nintendo played a part in making sure the added content came out. Nintendo has pushed the Dragon Quest series harder then anyone, even Square-Enix themselves. Back in the NES days they gave out free copies of Dragon Warrior I in Nintendo Power...and gave a huge Marketing Push for Dragon Quest IX. Not to mention all the Dragon Quest games which Nintendo themselves took publishing duties for. Dragon Quest VI, VII, VIII, IX, Joker 2, Builders. I do believe they are also taking on publishing duties for Dragon Quest Builders 2 and Dragon Quest XI S. Nintendo has been pushing Dragon Quest a long time in the west...so it getting exclusive content is really not much of a surprise.
Now if they could get Erdrick into Smash, that would just help push the series further...and with Nintendo making the picks this might be as close as we ever get to maybe getting some Dragon Quest in Smash.
That just goes for japan in the west the first dragon quest titles were sony exclusive so they actually brought it to the west and the publishing was done by enix/square enix
@@ramo9485 Dragon Quest was one the NES...before Sony was even in the console market.
It was known as "Dragon Warrior" during the time due copy right issues with the name. Dragon Warrior 1-4 were on the NES. Dragon Warrior VII would be the first time Dragon Quest would be Sony Exclusive...due to Nintendo mistakes with the Nintendo 64. However, Nintendo was still getting Dragon Quest games on the Gameboy, getting ports of Dragon Warrior 1-3, along with the Dragon Quest Monsters games.
It would not be until Dragon Quest VIII which the games would go by the Dragon Quest title.
Does not also change the fact that Nintendo still has greatly pushed the series.
Doesnt mean they can mess around with over 4 million people who supported DQ 11 since the first week and made the switch version even possible they need to update the ps4 or pc version at least after the switch version
And in the West not many people cared about Dragon quest till Dragon quest 8
@@ramo9485 Never said they should not update the PS4 version. Also note those sales numbers included the 3DS version which is almost half of those sales.
I just said it would not surprise me if Nintendo had something to do with the added content, since the company has a history of promoting the series. The gave out free copies of Dragon Warrior 1, and they gave a huge marketing push for Dragon Quest IX. Nintendo is known for getting added content in recent Dragon Quest games, such as added content in the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII, or same with Dragon Quest Builders.
Never have I told anyone if they want the added content to get the Switch version. Only that Nintendo "might" have played part in the added content, which would not surprise me if that is the case.
I don't feel burned. Truth is I was prepared to double dip on DQ11 when it was announced that the 3DS version would have retro graphics way back. so this is kinda he same for me
This game is not good enough to double purchase
I plan on getting the Switch version as well, same for DQ Builders 2.
I planned on the same thing, I do not mind that the switch is getting special extras because I will be buying that version as well.
@@momsaid Yes it is.
@@Entropic_Alloy i agree i'm thinking of tripple dipping
cant wait to play on my switch! i held off purchasing and it paid off!!
i will buy it twice :D
Same here I regret nothing
I bought it on PS4 because I though it would take a couple of years for the Switch version to come out. Guess I was wrong.
How is it going to run. That is the question.
I have the Switch version and I'm playing it in classic 2D 16 bit mode.
Switch owners knew they were getting the game on switch.
Right. I wasn’t saying that they didn’t know if it was coming to Switch or not, just that they didn’t have any details until this announcement.
Pay attention kids. This is why you never pre order video games or buy a new title until its been out for a year. You will always spend a fraction of the initial cost and usually get included dlc and other incentives.
While I don't disagree with your point, there are other bonus for pre ordering/playing at launch, such as unique items and merchandise. Dragon Quest 8 3DS had a weekly reward function, which gave unique items for the first couple months of launch, and are now unattainable if you don't have a save with them. Same with Dragon Quest 9. So for an aspiring completionist like me, it's actually a tough call, because waiting a year or two risks losing content forever.
1. Party members actually following us on the map now is a godsend, I hated that they followed you for like 5 min and then never again in the og version.
2. Yuji Hori confirmed we can choose who we wanne live with by the end of the game so obviously I'm choosing best girl (Sylvando).
Sylvando is the only character you can't pick actually lol
Why the fuck can your party follow you on switch but not on PS4 shits fuckin stupid
@@leovuitton9117 nintendo paid for extra content. Go yell at Nintendo
Hell yeah
@@leovuitton9117 I understand why you are (or were) mad, but Nintendo paid not Play Station.
l o v e d the Ps4 version it is in the top 10 to 15 rpg/jrpg's the wife and I have played. Just a brilliant game and a love letter to all whom love the jrpg. I am hoping the switch owner's love the game as we did and support this game so it starts go get Western releases all the time.
Square Enix is not publishing the game, Nintendo is , they could've paid to have all that exclusive content since they are publishing the game
actually Square Enix IS the publisher
@@bradleymartin6254 . ShadowKing1982 is correct. Square Enix created the game, but Nintendo is the one spending the money to publish the game. If you go to Nintendo's website, on both DQ XI S and DQ Builders 2 the Publisher written is Nintendo. Square either doesn't care or can't afford to localize the game themselves, so Nintendo took the reigns to do it and paid for more content for DQ XI for their system.
@@kirindas4691 that's not how it works
@@BennyFPS Nintendo is still the publisher for DQ 11
Nintendo is publishing Dragon Quest XI S. Go to the game on the E-shop and you'll see Nintendo's name below the title on the left hand corner.
Been looking for a video covering this exact topic. Thanks for this. Subbed.
100%ed the game on PC and I’m so hype for the Switch version, DQ11 was my favourite game of last year ^^
Do u honesty think you’ll play through it again?
Yeah definitely, tried playing FF15 after I finished it and i was just like I’d rather play dq again
@@ClassicKrusty I certainly will re-play another 100% run.
Hey man just discovered your channel. I love the idea of it being a place where you can find all your JRPG news. subscribed! great content.
Linkdevivo Thank you man! Really appreciate that. :)
@@JRPGCentral just give me more DQ11 videos and I'll keep coming back haha. What an absolute masterpiece.
I was expecting a Switch version but I didnt expect it to be the best version
I still want that 3ds version man. This will be a day 1 buy for switch for sure
I don’t think they should feel burned at all, switch owners have been waiting years for info on the game, it was announced back when the WiiU was still being sold and the switch was called the “NX”. The switch had to wait the longest for the game when most of the hype around the release had subsided (at this rate it’ll probably release a full year after everyone else got it). Is it unfair to give those who decided to wait a year to play the latest title of their favorite franchise some extra goodies to make up for the extended wait? With it being delayed and radio silent for so long, I’m just happy it’s finally happening this year, but announcing that the switch version is the best version to get, gets a lot of people talking. Hell, Nintendo’s marketing is doing a banger of a job at getting people hyped up for a game that already released to other consoles, I would not be surprised if Nintendo made some sort of secret deal with Square to give the switch version the most leverage against its competitors as possible. Maybe all these exclusive features are being paid for by Nintendo or something, which is why square is some ambiguous about their desire to put the same features on other systems, maybe they can’t by contract (at least until a certain date when the contract is up). Just my thoughts, personally I have no problem with this happening, but then again I chose to wait for the release so maybe I’m just riding off my feelings of happiness that my patience paid off. Either way, I’ve been waiting for this game for over 2 years now, I can’t wait to get my hands on it
I got the PC version on Steam for sale at $29.99 and used a mod to have the orchestrated soundtrack. I don't feel burned at all actually.
I just got dq xi on steam for $30 as well on the summer sale lol where can I find this mod ? Thanks
@@dooshbag612 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2157694392
I prefer the Switch version cause I like playing my rpg's on the go and I'm excited for this version of Dragon Quest XI. Hopefully the extra content does come for those who have other versions though.
I do have DQ XI on PC, but with my job (OTR Trucker and Trainer), it's been collecting the proverbial dust in my Steam folder as it's much easier to pull out my Switch for the times I do have to game. I was intending to double dip anyway, to be honest; I'm just finding it a minor shame it took this long to get sorted out.
Dragon Quest 6 music in the background nice! And The Office clips in CZcams videos are always funny
While I know it people who just bought the PS4/PC version feel robbed, you have to consider that the people in japan got their game in July 2017 and a lot of the improvements that the western version got wasn't in the japanese one (no voice acting, no horse dashing, uglier HUD). So it just feels right for them, that after over two years the switch version will provide all the western content and a few new things. We could argue that it may be too soon for the western market, but Nintendo would be stupid if they intentional helding of the definitive because of that. I'm also one of the people who bought the PS4 version last year and I'm prepaired to buy it again for the switch.
2:36 Five months after the game came out... in the US. But it came out in Japan back in 2017. You should probably take that into consideration.
EDIT: For the record, I bought the PS4 version and will definitely pick up the Switch version. I don't feel burned at all. Nintendo presumably paid for at least some of these additions and considering how late it's coming to Switch owners (in the US and Japan), it seems perfectly reasonable. PS4/PC owners got to play a nicer looking version much sooner, Switch owners get to play a version with way more content. I don't see why anyone should be upset by this. Seems like a great solution to the game releasing so late on the Switch, and - as you pointed out, some of the bonus content will probably come to PS4/PC owners eventually anyway so... what's the problem?
That’s pretty well known knowledge so I didn’t feel the need to bring it up. Also, I’m speaking to the rest of the world where the game was released.
@@JRPGCentral But the game is and has always been more popular in Japan so you should probably look at it from that point of view. Releasing a definitive edition after TWO years in its main market seems completely reasonable to me. Sure, it sucks for the rest of the world, but the rest of the world barely bought the game anyway.
Thank you for covering this (there hasn’t been enough coverage). You forgot to mention the story content and one very specific thing I don’t know if I should mention because of spoilers. I didn’t know that SE had gave some hopeful comments about this content coming to other platforms. Good to know, but I’m probably gonna be too impatient and get the Switch double dip. The handheld mode, that will always be exclusive, and I’m looking forward to that just as much as anything else.
I mentioned the new story quests for each character, but I’m not sure what the other spoilery new thing you’re talking about is..🧐
I didn't get to play it yet because my backlog is getting too big. I'm sure glad I waited since I really want to play the 16bit version. If I have time I might go back and re finish the game in regular mode but that's not a sure thing
finished PS4 version over 400+ hours; I'm done with this game for a while
230 hrs with Platinum trophy, but I’m most likely gonna double dip. Portability, plus all the features. In any normal scenario I’d be angry at myself that I didn’t wait for the switch version, which I had planned to do, and even held out for awhile after the launch. But, I don’t now, because DQ XI has become one of my favorite games of all time, so playing it again with new content, on a new system, I’m looking forward to it. I wish it wasn’t gonna cost me money, but oh well.
200 to 400 hours...wtf. i could understand completing every side quest, maxing all party members, getting true ending taking little over 100 hours but 400?! How the hell it took *that* long...unless you're adding more than one playthrough then okay i get it lol
I Platinum at 210 hours. And am the kind to foul around for hours. Double the time is too much.
Got Platinum Trophy myself at a little over 150 hours. Though I could going 200+ hours for being a completionist.
I bet!! I probably would be too
Finally a new video.
I did a recap of the Nintendo Direct a couple of days ago too if you haven’t seen it.😉
This game is worth its weight in gold.
I'm glad I waited for this edition of the game ... Wonder if there will be a collector's edition. It's probably one of three games I would get a collector's edition for.
I looooved the ps4 version and am planning to play it for the switch. I won't feel too bad as long as there are extra bosses and content to be played through.
loved this game beat it in the first week of release with all draconian quests activated and have like 400 hours on the game and i loved the soundtrack the way it was brought back so many good memories of older DQ games im picking this up day ONE and maybe geting the steam release as well not to sure i am trying to do my part and make sure more DQ games get released in the west
The full Orchestra soundtrack and 16 bit mode interest me the most. Not sure i'd rebuy the game for those though. The vanilla version was my game of the year last year. But this isn't enough new content to spend more money on the same story.
Actually, the latest Nintendo Direct (not the Pokémon one) mentioned new stories for each of the main characters. But I don't know if you think that's enough new content for you.
What song is playing in the background? I recognize it as a dragon quest song but from which one?
Dragon Quest VI! I forget which song I used specifically, though. I think it was a town theme.
Dragon Quest VI. song named Inviting Village
Never got around to playing the PS4 game because I was busy playing games on my Switch. I did put the game on my Amazon wish-list because I was interested in playing it at some point. Yet when I found out XI would be getting a release on the Switch I decided to just wait to play it then. So many RPGs coming to the Switch lmao. I might still be playing Fire Emblem Three Houses by the time this comes out...and then there's Astral Chain in August...then later on Animal Crossing and Pokemon....
Which is why I restrained myself and waited for this version. No regrets whatsoever. The wait was worth it.
Um, I might be a bit late, but it was confirmed that the Switch would be getting an international version, before the PS4 and PC version even came out. After over a year of waiting, I think added content is necessary to sell the game well and make people play it again.
As an owner of the PC edition, I was able to get the orchestral soundtrack mod for my version of the game. I sincerely hope that they add the new additional content as DLC. I would gladly pay the extra cash for it.
This will be my first DQ game, I'm really looking forward to it.
Well, I'm glad that I've done my waiting! I'm just curious about when will I be able to ACUTALLY play it lol 😂
I’m getting this at Day 1
This is the best version ever
I would rebuy the game just for the portability, this one of my favorite JRPGs of all time, I’ll replay it again if could portably
I was very satisfied with the base game and don't feel burned at all I've seen orchestral game play and the music is jarringly off to me and if they decide to bring the new content to the PS4 and PC version it will be free considering this games pattern with Avatars and themes.
Hmmm I know once I purchase my switch, I'll be in a monogamous relationship with xenoblade chronicles 2 for a very long time. It should give me time to see if the new content comes in the form of updates for the ps4 version. I hope so tho. (Still have the post game to get around to lol)
Loved Dragon Quest XI, shame these extra features won't be coming to PC or PS4, but that won't stop me loving this amazing game.
Currently replaying and hoping to clock another 100 or so hours in this amazing bloody game.
I never ever had an issue with the soundtrack as Music is second least important aspect of a JRPG for me, with Story then Gameplay coming before it.
Looking forward to the Switch release.
Finishied the game a couple weeks back and it was a blast, with tons of content so it doesn't bother me too much to be honest.
I was going to wait, however when the game was on sale at black friday for 35 bucks I went ahead and just picked up the PS4 version, these features don't burn me too much. I do think the music could be better though with my PS4 version that would be the thing I'd most be interested in seeing.
A little point as to be explain, the switch version of the game was annonce way before the other platform got their dates so, no, i don't think any of the features will go on xbox/ps4/pc.
Lol Xbox. The PS4 and PC got more content than the xbox version lol
Waiting on Switch version for sure now. I only played 3 hours into the PS4 version, soon as I heard Switch is getting it, I stopped playing it on my PS4. Just waiting at this point for the Switch port.
Keeping my PS4 version, but definitely getting it for the Switch. Love the console for its portability. Wish the controllers were cheaper. Switch’s controllers are more expensive then Xbox and PS4 controllers.
i havent played the game yet, not because i was waiting for this version but because i actually didnt had time to play( also i know the game is big). maybe it was a good thing cus now i can get this definitive edition
No one seems to be paying attention to the fact that the trailer said "fully orchestrated field and battle tracks." they were specific with what would be orchestrated implying that it may not be the entire soundtrack. I could very much be wrong but don't be surprised if this isn't the whole thing
Does it worth to buy again on switch for someone that has got the platinum trophy on ps4?
I was buying the Switch version regardless. Now I hope Dragon Quest IX gets a remaster along with other Dragon Quest games. We’re getting Final Fantasy remakes released on Switch and I hope Dragon Quest gets the same treatment.
I bought it on PC at a discount so I'm probably gonna get it though I haven't even started Dragon Quest 8 on 3DS. Or the one I got on PC. I have issues.
Got it on PC and tbh i don't feel disappointed about this news. At the end of the day i played a great game and had a ton of fun.
The thing is ... this game actually came out a little over 2 years ago. I honestly don’t get what’s so surprising.
Also by the time the Switch version comes out the other versions would have been released for a full year. This isn't all that different from most definitive editions.
Except most definitive editions don't have exclusive content to one console.
How do you have a bigger issue with the soundtrack than the writing?
All I really care about in the definitive edition is the option to marry Jade tbh. The older pseudosister thing (which I don’t care much about anyways because they are not blood related) does not even work in this scenario as the Hero never had time to establish such a relationship with her. By the time he finally meets her for the first time as an adult, they have a rather close intimate relationship despite not interacting with each other since they were a baby. The game certainly seems to have no problem showing them have shippy moments (just see their triple Pep Power: Brownie Boost where Serena plays a serenade while the Hero and Jade dance ballroom style). It would also be poetic justice for the two to end up together as it officially unites both of their kingdoms. The whole big sister thing is a farce.
Yeah I agree. Jade and Hero were technically meant to have a brother-sister relationship but that didn't end up happening because he ended up growing up somewhere else. I think its fine for them to be together.
I got the plat with the a bunch of the drac settings on in around 80 to 100 hrs that’s including my afk time i dont plan on playing it again for a long time unless they add some broken super boss and i could start up with my old save . i never plan on getting a Nintendo consoles again till they catch up with the times i dont think they have trophies/achievements link to accounts and a lacking online system. Plus at the rate almost all companies have been lately i dont see a reason to get the next generation consoles.
Any idea on when will this be released?
Carlo Ramirez It’s coming this fall. No hard release date yet.
I held off purchasing so I could play it on Switch and I'm really stoked! That said, original buyers are justified in feeling robbed of extra content. I hope everyone can experience the extra content at some point!
I wish it would come out sooner
So glad I watched this. I didn't know the switch version was coming with the orchestral soundtrack and was just about to buy the PC version.
Hey Virgil, I want to buy a switch jrpg but am stuck between this and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Any recommendation?
If you have to pick just one I’d go for DQXI for sure. XC2 is amazing too, though.
@@JRPGCentral thanks for reply :) I'll probably end up getting both eventually
I platinumed the game on the Playstation and loved it to death.
All the content that got added to the definitive edition for the Switch was a real slap in the face.
And as a complete sucker - I went ahead and bought that version too.
However lame you might find their tactics - they work because dedicated fans are always hungry for more content.
I waited for the Switch version, I had a feeling the reason for it being delayed was for extra content.
The game has actually been out in Japan waaaay longer than 5 months. Switch has faced a delay waaaaay longer than mere months and nintendo system owners already hate games being released many months after hype dies out, at full price and only with basic content and then being blamed for "hurr, 3rd parties don't sell on nintendo".
With any luck they'll add an "S upgrade pack" to the PS4 and PC versions, like what they did with Final Fantasy XV and the Royal edition.
Was blown away by the intro for this game, was expecting something amazing.... then the music..... god the music was so dire I couldn't continue, with the new soundtrack I might give it another chance....
If you have the PC version like I do, there is an orchestral mod.
For ass pirates only.
I bought the ps4 version on launch, but I don't mind S at all. DQ is among my 3 favorite gaming franchises, even just having XI on the go would be reason enough for me to but it. everything else is just additional swag.
cant they just update the pc and ps4 version to get some of these features?
Never expected to have another version released, honestly, but if I don't think this really effects me or any other owners of the original release at all - we were never going to get this stuff, afaik. On the other hand, I do have a switch so if I decide to get the game I'm not going to be bitter about essentially spending double on the game. It's fun, and I wouldn't mind playing it on the go.
Party follow would be cool on ps4. Shame. Feel lonely in the open
DQ is from one of The last castles of Turn Based RPGs that have survived
Seriously I'm kind of peeved cuz I just bought it on Black Friday and finished it probably a month ago and now this Definitive Edition is coming like what the heck Square
You knew it was coming to The Switch this and Sonic mania were the freest two games announced when it was still called the NX. It was obviously going to have more features .
Don't play DQ8 on the PS2 or Android. The 3DS version is the definitive edition with more content, quests, features and new party members.
DQ11 is essentially the same
gimme a 3ds so :/
But DQ8 looks better and has a beautiful orchestrated track
I've almost 100%'d the 3DS version but I'd be hard pressed to not go back and play the PS2 version
Only thing i really like over the PS2 version is that on the DS enemies are in the overworld which makes traversing and farming easier
@@ruxis8179
And don't forget the alchemy pot.
Even the Android version fixed the pot by letting you instantly cook up items instead of waiting.
@@ahmedfalahy9337 admittedly it is a pretty nice change
I didn't particularly mind the old alchemy pot personally
mainly 'cause the new one made getting much better items a bit too simple
and the waiting around part was a bit more immersive for me and hearing that little ding while exploring was, idk, kinda nice
I grabbed the game 40% off on Steam and have been playing it leisurely. I am a huge DQ fan and will probably purchase it for the switch so I have a good mobile game.
Additions to the Switch versions were announced before the ps4/3ds release if I remember correctly though.
It was just not explained to what extent.
I bought it on ps4 a week before the S announcement because I couldn't wait anymore. Oh well :,)
I think it’s likely that the orchestral soundtrack will be added in a patch 3 or so months after the switch release. And honestly, considering the sheer amount of time that I have poured into my 2 play throughs, paying another 60 dollars seems perfectly reasonable.
Also possibly unpopular opinion, I kinda love the wonky soundtrack. It’s miditastic and hits my rpg nostalgia just right.
I love Dragon Quest XI, and will definitely get this version for the Switch when it is released. Some of the things that I hope that Square does with the Switch version, and hopefully through updates or DLC for the PS4 version, is that we are given that chance to restore Dundrasil to it's former glory. I felt that due to how much of an impact that this location was to the game, I feel it would have been great for the Luminary to be able to restore his birthplace. The only other thing that I would change is how the marriage done. I have nothing against people marrying their childhood friend, I just felt that marrying Gemma through having a wish granted from a trial didn't feel right for me. Plus I would think that having that option to marry Jade, Serena, and Veronica (with certain exceptions) would be good.
How does the Japanese version being released in 2017 affect your view of this version being a "burn"?
Is this the dude from CGR???
If you still can't marry Jade, what's the point?
Fax, to be honest, that sort of stuff should really be all that we’re expecting for the whole “extra story content,” we shouldn’t go around thinking we’re getting extra boss battles and whatnot, that’s likely overestimating what square will be adding to the game. But a extra few marriage options and some cutscenes to go along with them is probably the most we’ll get. Still great, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not gonna be a huge addition like some people wanna make it out to be (I’m basing this off past experiences with things like dragon quest 8 3DS version, which mainly added a marriage option for Jessica)
Jade is seen as a pseudo big sister to the main character protecting them. Imo would feel weird from their pov marrying her.
Serena maybe but her and main character have zero chemistry interacting with each other yet is the only viable one. Veronica is in loli form sooo eww pedo alert there(but she does have a crush on him tho so maybe after she gets her true body back?). The rest, i doubt they'd do incest (robert) or gay parring (erik, Slyvando) lol.......so Serena by default it is ._____."
@@HyouVizer they literally confirmed you can choose who you want to "end up with".. so you can literally end the game living with Eric, etc.. go check on Gematsu.. Yuji Hori confirmed it.
Forget jade, I want to be able to turn Veronica back to an adult and marry that sassy lady. Plus she does even state her feelings to the MC so i was disappointed that it wasnt an option and outside of one story scene and one attack you dont really see adult her again
Connell Reynolds-Granner aw yeah, completely forgot about Veronica, she’s pretty wife-able herself
It releases two years after the Japanese release, but it very bad that the people who had to wait a year to get localized, get this announcement a few months after the global release and it seems to be that s will have a same release date for global, feels bad man
😂i was smart and waited for the switch ver, let me tell u it was hard man i almost bought it
Same here. I was contemplating dragon quest rehab 😂
I couldnt wait. Playing it rn and dont regret it haha
FFXII had that fast forward on original hardware. It was just Japan exclusive.
Well i will buy the game a second time for Switch >.>
primary for the extra story content and 3ds mode
I'm scared the same thing will happen with persona 5 cause i just bought the ps3 version
That's been out a while to be fair, would love Persona on Switch
I need to actually finish the game I bought it very late.
yeah i was a late adopter of the pc version and played for like 2 hours when i saw it was coming to the switch and refunded the pc version asap.
this isnt a graphic intense game so i dont mind it being lower res on the switch.
First of all DQB 2 releases in July for the switch.then we get DQ11....i will be buying a switch for DQB2 and DQ11 is a bonus for me.
Fuck yeah, as a PS4 and steam owner I definitely feel shafted. Why give the lesser hardware the definitive edition? Really keeping my fingers crossed for that DLC for PS4 and pc in the future
It was announced months after the WESTERN release.
What was? If you mean the Swtich version thrn no you are wrong Dragon Quest 11 was the frist thrid party game announced for the Swtich back when it was still called the NX.
I knew there was gonna be a switch version. I 100%ed the game twice in like a month and a half(all my free time was eaten lol). I wanna play the game in a portable form with all the features so I'll be buying it. I'll probably 100% it again on switch just because I love the game so much. Also I really wanna see unified release dates for DQ in the future but that's a tough ask I know.
It was confirmed that the switch version would have exclusive content
Well it was technically the first game announced for switch back when it was still known as the nx so Nintendo already paid for those extras
I really want the party to follow me!
Is really it fully orchestrated? I am pretty sure the direct video said the overworld and battle theme were orchestrated, but I don't rightly recall them saying anything about the rest of the soundtrack.
Also wasn't that "undecided" bit explicitly talking about the extended stories? That is honestly the only "deluxe" addition I feel would be legitimately shitty to leave out of other versions.
The rest frankly just feels like minor incentives (minus the 18-bit mode but I don't think anyone expects that to get out of the switch) that are not worth rasing a fuss for, it's gonna be fully priced and they obviously need to give some incentives to the buyers, and I feel it would be even more scummy to just distribute the extra content on all versions after Switch players and probably hardcore DQ fans paid full price for the new version.
Well the trailer said "field and battle themes" not "overworld" so by field it could mean towns, dungeons, villages, ect. hopefully this is what happens
Thank you CZcams Algorithm for giving me good content here.
When I first heard about it I felt a little burned, but the core game is so damn huge and long I got over it quickly. There already is almost too much game
I thank you for making this video since I do feel like I got slapped in the face. I have had Xbox one for a while now and got a PS4 recently to play Spider-Man and DQ11. Was upset Jade was not a marry option but was hopeful for dlc. Then I hear DQ11 is coming to the switch with “exclusive” story content and felt cheated. How is that fair that the switch version gets additional story content but PS4 and PC version don’t get it as dlc? Hell I would definitely pay for that dlc but not even having the ability to play it is ridiculous. I do not have a switch so that means I would have to pay another $300 for a new system and $65 for DQ11. While the PS4 version was good I think it was lacking a little bit. The additional story content would make it close to perfect I believe but I can’t experience that I guess. I will try to be hopeful like you said and wait for it to be dlc and I’d be more than willing to pay for it. Paying for $20 dlc or $400 for a new system and game is a big difference
cause switch owners had to wait for a year to get that game on the switch despite being one of the first title announced for the switch back then otherwise known as the NX, tell me how is that fair?
fairness is a bullshit argument for this
oh and squeenix could've localized the 3ds version and release it the same time as the home console version, yet squeenix deliberately chose not to, nintendo fans could've played it already on the 3ds, how is that fair? see how stupid this is? the concept of fairness on games
