I hauled a load of electrical panels to a job site 4 hours north on a good day. It was snowing and the highway was ice and snow. So 4 hrs turned into 6 hrs. When I got there they had gone home for the day So no one to unload the trailer. Security said they are gone early for the storm. Won’t be back until Monday. Drop your trailer over at a secure lot. Bob tail home.

Stuck!!! Put on a set of chains. A set or two of drives, a steering. Do that on a regular basis, summer and winter for 15 years, you might get used to it😂. Life in the oilpatch in Western Canada.

"W900 Off-Roading" lol 🤣🤣🤣. Justin, I know Exactly 💯 what you mean and how ya feel when you're climbing up those high bridges knowing there's Nothing but a long clear drop into nothing on either side of you 😲. Every time I have to go to Portland (not often, either) I get a little nervous going up, up and up over the Harbor bridge 😵💫. I keep thinking 🤔....All it takes is one idiot driving crazy and, I'm a goner along with others because it's a very busy and HIGH CURVED (think half circle) bridge. The new one is Not completely finished and has been delayed forever 😳.

Electric vehicles can be very dangerous, especially in warmer climates. The higher the temperature the more chance there is of thermal runaway in the batteries. If one of the cells in one of the batteries gets too hot it can trigger a chemical reaction that produces even more heat, which heats up the neighboring cells, which causes them to go into thermal runaway. Eventually the battery will burst into flames. This happens more often while the battery is quick charging, if a battery is left charging too long, if a battery is defective, or if the vents on a battery are damaged in any way.
This is what sometimes happens in cell phones (if anyone remembers the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosion situation in 2016), and it's why you sometimes hear about EVs that bursting into flames and the fire department can't put them out. Fire departments don't have anything that can reduce the temperature of the batteries, so all they can really do is keep anything around the EV from catching fire and let the entire set of batteries in the EV burn themselves out.
I also remember the IBM laptops and even the Boeing 787s suffering from battery fires - at least one 787 was a total hull loss after a fire which was captured on video at the terminal, and it was so intense that one of the aircrew had to use the rope to climb from the cockpit window, breaking his ankle in the process (thankfully, the only injury). It's also the greatest danger in vaping devices, if the charge and discharge aren't properly balanced across all the cells in a battery. In EVs, the Chinese are desperately trying to hide the number that go up in flames, but they don't have a great reputation for decent charge controllers. Norway has a similar penetration of EVs on the market and doesn't seem to have the same problems (EVs have been outselling internal combustion engined cars in Norway for several years now), so I'm guessing they have much tighter standards for charge controllers.
The thing that puts me off EVs for my own use is the huge cost of replacing the battery, when it eventually gives out, as they all will after they have been charged and discharged as many times as they are designed to last. If you try to keep on using it after the capacity is down below about 80% of original, you are seriously risking a battery fire.
I wish there was a requirement for all batteries to follow a standard format, with a small range of sizes available. That would bring the cost right down because the battery would no longer be a monopoly of the original manufacturer and with a load of manufacturers using the same size, there would be economies of scale and a competitive market for replacement. There is no reason for the overwhelming majority of EVs and Hybrids to use anything other than one of a standardised range, just like ordinary cylindrical cells have standard sizes.

On tesla you need to condition the battery before charging in the cold. It is really easy to do. Just search for tesla super charger on the tesla gps and head to the tesla super charger you choose. The battery condition itself before you get to the super charger.

We had all the dump truck driver's down a narrow road like that clearing up debris and one nearly collided with a incoming truck (Not our's) that didn't radio in with his location down the road and Jesse told our driver to let him have it. Our driver chewed the other driver dam good. We used to do solar panels all the time but we stopped cause they would send the payment very very late and we just had enough of them trying to get the payment down to hardly to make any money. That's why we love our wrecker's and we both have got stuck in mud before. Tie company that we deliver to are like damnit. Jesse got buried in the mud dam good. He radioed for Chico to get over to his location and pull him out. Chico nearly got stuck also pulling Jesse out. I was like damn seeing how muddy our KW was. He had Cash and Austin get the power washer and spray off the mud. That company had us deliver tons of gravel to spread out down the road and we never got stuck again. Jesse just said if the door's are lock and u don't want to walk farther. Just blast the train horns and somebody will be running out quick. That's how we get there attention. Our's are loud and the school sent me an email from the superintendent (She's really good friend) she was like please don't blast the train horns cause it scares the kindergarten's. I told her that I would tell 2 driver's who has kid's in elementary school to not do that anymore. They told me that they figured the school would be calling us or sending em email. One of the Kindergarten teacher's where like what's that blasting horn coming from. The teacher's aide who's friend's with Justin and Cash said it's probably driver's who has kid's in the elementary school. She's new and she was like that sounds like a train. Jesse showed her the horns one day we seen her and her reaction was priceless.

Most interesting delivery i had was a few months ago in Mesa, AZ was insulation to a brand new warehouse that was still being built. I had to drive the 53ft tractor trailer right through the dirt of the construction site and right up the forklift ramp, through the super narrow door, right inside the building, while dodging the poles and materials laid out everywhere. Never thought I'd ever drive the truck up into the building when i usually just see the dock.

I was way out in an oil field one time and got stuck. The ground was frozen when we went in, then thawed out while we were back there. They had to bring a dozer to pull us out. We had packets of bacon bits to tie us over. I dive 60 miles round trip to work. I'd buy a Ford Lightning if it was more affordable.

Yeah these electric cars need an apu to recharge them..... I always thought if I had electric vehicle I would put a generator in the back... if traveling long distance then I am not dependent on the grid. Overall I think electric cars are not practical with the current grid... hybrid is the way to go... if you drive in traffic... if you live in the country hybrids are a waste of money... and so are electric vehicles...
