    I really like how calming Mike's voice is. Great teaching voice. It doesn't feel judgemental nor demeaning. Just helpful.

    Great game and Mike did a good job explaining the rules and helping Nikki. I think that should be a practice game and you must play it again.

    The only thing that stopped me from buying this game is that those technology card holders would not be big enough to fit sleeved cards. But, it seems as if it is no issue with their Gamegenic sleeves?

      Plenty of space in the holders

    • @boardgamegeek

      They do not fit completely. We did not have all of the cards in the trays since we would not use them all in the game. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln

      I was trying to catch that during the game (one of the easiest rules to miss). If your pop only allows "4" resources, you can get 4 of them every B or D phase, allowing you to store them up. I don't think there were any problems here.

    What do you think about the art in this game being Ai generated?

    Hard pass on a game that uses AI art. Art in board games has gotten much better once publishers paid professional artists. AI algorithms to produce images steal the work of human artists to generate output. Artists should be compensated for their work.

    • @TheNathanlockhart
      @TheNathanlockhart Před měsícem +1

      It's a nice stance, but eventually you're just going to have to give up gaming.

    • @mihancic
      @mihancic Před měsícem +3

      I agree 100% - generated "art" is actively offputing to me and I lose any interest in even trying to play a game :(

    • @goodvibe1010
      @goodvibe1010 Před měsícem +2

      @ TheNathanlockhart And you're gonna end up with soulless and bad games rushed through development.

    • @TorIverWilhelmsen
      @TorIverWilhelmsen Před měsícem

      @@TheNathanlockhart No, the AI art is "cheap" now because the companies running them are doing so at a loss, and there is lots of real art out there for them to pilfer. Once the companies have to charge for the services to not go bust (apparently Midjourney is pretty close to that) and the feedback where AI art is fed back into the model will make it look worse and worse.
      And once they start using these stochastic parrots to write game rules as well, people will just stick to the old classics that will still be playable while desperate companies churn out drek no one will pay for. (Or people will just make their own copies based on the rules, since copyright is apparently dead in the AI future anyway.)

    • @TheNathanlockhart
      @TheNathanlockhart Před měsícem

      @goodvibe1010 I'm not advocating AI art, I just accept the reality that it is inevitable. And it's not just me that is going to end up with soulless games rushed through development, it's all of us. It's already happening more and more, and it's not slowing down. I've lived long enough now to have seen enough impassioned stances for greater quality fall flat on their face when the masses rush to the cheapest thing. I'm not going to believe that THIS is finally the time where quality and morality win out over price.

  • @Ashwinz
    @Ashwinz Před měsícem +10

    disappointing that you're highlighting a game that uses 100% AI Art. I'm really disappointed in this, actually.

    • @SharienGaming
      @SharienGaming Před měsícem +3

      thats particularily shocking, since the game isnt even using expensive components and runs you roughly 90€ to buy... its pretty much all cards and some cardboard boards... and they dont even have any artists to pay... that feels like some pretty greedy profit margins there
