I agree that the additional rules twists added to Marvel Splendor make it a better version than regular Splendor.

Not sure I ever heard the term Paragraph Game. Is that game with lots of story text (like Sleeping Gods for example)?

I bought this as soon as it came out. I really enjoy it. Gives me that less mean Calico and Cascadia chillness combination.

I try and stick with one of the classic Knizia's games with new player (cause I get to play them and its easier on everybody), generally avoid auction/bidding like you mentioned. For me Via Nebula was surprisingly one of those games that was an instant hit with new players.

I've been playing & teaching this game for about a month and totally missed the rule where you have to put down at least 1 token before you can take a card. I had even seen one other video where they took a card as the first action before taking the cubes. Not sure why it matters so much, but will start implementing that rule on the next play.

I like that you mentioned liking the David Lynch version - it may have cut a bunch of important story, but there were some great things about it, and I find myself preferencing to rewatch it. As you noted, Sting was great as Feyd, but Alia in the throne room was bone chilling "for he is the Kwisatz Haderach" *shivers*

Looks very interesting, but did you have any production issues with your game? I've heard reports that the cards are coming slightly warped.. Did you have that issue with your copy?

I just wanted to give Nikki a compliment for her teach on this one, which I had no trouble following. It's a skill, and she's getting quite a bit better at it, which is awesome! The win was just the icing on the cake. I feel like the game's a little too luck-driven for my *personal* tastes, but I could see it becoming a hit in the vein of Cascadia.

Aw. I liked the second Black Panther movie! They were in a tough spot with his unfortunate passing, but I think they honored him well. We got more M'baku! I'll watch Winston Duke in anything!

I picked up Wakanda at Goodwill a few months ago. Still haven't brought it to the table since I figure it would be a dud, but for $3 I had to buy it.

i think someone had something like an audio plugin in trial mode - those tend to create noise every single minute ..which seens to be spot on consistent with the noise in the video

I find this is a 4 way solo game especially if it was played in real time simultaneously like it's meant to be. It also looks a little long to set up with all the components and all the little bits looked fiddly. Not a game I'd be interested to own but a game I'd play online.

Slight correction for 6:45 - While you can gain an extra walk in any day, you have to use the extra walk on the day you acquired that day bonus. So if you gain an extra walk on Friday, then that day bonus can only be placed on Friday (page 8. in the rule book).
