    Been watching these griddles for awhile and finally pulled the trigger after seeing your video. I got 6% off by registering with Vevor and then used your code today for another 5. Ordered the 30" to replace my Balckstone E-series dual element griddle.

    • @griddlecookeatandmore
      @griddlecookeatandmore  Před 29 dny +1

      So you ordered the one that has two separate controls or one. The bigger one with 2 temp controls needs a dedicated circuit to use it. The griddle does not have a plug on it. You would need an electrician to set it up unless you're handy with that.

      @@griddlecookeatandmore correct. I realized that about an hour after ordering. Tried to swap out for the smaller (21”) but they couldn’t do it. They tried to cancel but it wouldn’t cancel even though it hadn’t been that long. Now I’ll either have to refuse shipment (probably will not be there when it arrives) or pay return shipping. Not happy about that but my fault for not catching the 32amp breaker thing.

    Great addition to your cooking arsenal Doug. Looks like a good little griddle. Just plug it in and get to cooking. You definitely got the smash burgers down to a science! Great job my friend.

      From reading a lot of reviews, it definitely needs seasoning. The cooking surface is iron, not stainless, and will rust. It needs the seasoning to protect the metal.

    • @griddlecookeatandmore
      @griddlecookeatandmore  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @AltimaNEO it doesn't need to be seasoned if you don't want to. There are many commercial griddles with the top made out of the same material. It will rust if you leave it sit outside for sure. I use this indoor and 0 rust issues.

      @@griddlecookeatandmore Great to know, thank you. Its difficult to really know when Vevor's own information is contradicting itself, and user reviews saying another.

      I come from a long restaurant background. I intentionally bought this griddle to not season it. It makes the best smash burgers of all griddles. It even says in the manual to clean it with a griddle cleaner.

    I wonder why they switched from the big spatulas in the older version to the dinky ones in the new version. Ive seen other vendors selling the same griddle under a different brand, but include the same spatulas ad brushes. Guess its a different manufacturer making these for Vevor and whomever else wants to slap their brand on it.

    • @griddlecookeatandmore
      @griddlecookeatandmore  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I had it set to 350 but I think it runs about 40 degrees hotter than the dial. I think it was close to 400. Overall for 115 bucks these were the best Smash Burgers I have made

    I have the same problem using an infrared on (*what I assume is stainless) due to the low emissivity of the stainless. Hopefully the griddle will season bit over time and keep the sticking to a minimum. Looks like a nice unit.

    • @griddlecookeatandmore
      @griddlecookeatandmore  Před 7 měsíci

      It will work after you cook on it a bit and get it dirty. I bought a griddle thermometer that sits right on top. It's thermostatically controlled so you really don't need a thermometer. I'm not seasoning this griddle. I want it to be like a restaurant griddle. This little griddle is bad ass. If you're looking for a Indoor griddle this is the way to go much better than the Blackstone E series.

      @@griddlecookeatandmore Hey, How do you think it seems to be holding up to not being seasoned? The other reviews I'm seeing are all seasoning theirs and I'd prefer not too, so I'm curious to know how its gone for you so far.

    awesome review thx....now i just have to decide which size to get 14 / 22 / 29 inch.....have you used the 29 and if so was it much of a difference and was it too big for the countertop ?...again great video....cheers from Canada

    • @griddlecookeatandmore
      @griddlecookeatandmore  Před 9 měsíci

      I have not used the 29". I think it may be a little too big for the counter. It also is fairly heavy if you need to move it around. The other problem is it needs a dedicated 30A 110 plug to use it. In the US that is not a normal household outlet so you would need to run one which would cost way more than the griddle. I think the 21" is the perfect size the 14" for me would be smaller than I want. If you have the room go with the 21" Thanks for watching.
