    I had to create an app during the taping of my interview. I had never done it before but had to look like a pro. The difference between the Canvas app maker and this one was challenging with a camera in your face and another on your screen. I wish I saw this first! This was three weeks ago. I am excited that you are excited about Project Oakdale because I see endless possibilities!

It's based on a phone template and it works soo all good. My question is, Is it possible to place an image in the window where my browse screen sits. I'd like the whole window to have our company colours, logos etc with the browse screen in the middle. Is this possible without change the app to be a tablet style with only the gallery's displayed in the middle?. Keep up the great work.

    On one screen it should save whatever content is on that screen to a sharepoint-list and on another it should send an email with some other stuff. Today i am placing some icons on top of the component to do this which is kind of opposite of the purpose.

The problem is, that's a very common business term, and I have a lot of databases that have a column called "Status." I'm worried that Dataverse Is going to eventually write to that column, overwriting my own data. If I need to change my column name, it will involve a whole bunch of work changing tons of references to my Status column. Can you shed any light on this? Is Dataverse going to take over my column, and eventually the world? Thanks!

    Dumb question...I followed this step by step and the app created perfectly. However, when I go back to PowerApps pinned on the left, it doesn't show Recent Apps like it does for you. I cannot find this app anywhere to be able to edit it. How can I edit it? Is the PowerApps "App" in Teams just late refreshing?

    Great video , Thank You. I am very new to the powerapps environment in general, and now I noticed that the Teams interface to powerapps editing is very different(Thank you Microsoft, dumbasses). Could you do a video or two on how to control the field tab order when editing? For the life of me I couldn't find it. Secondly, could you do a video on the search and filte of data withing this environment using the dataverse tables, etc. I have watched your videos on how to do the search and filter in the normal powerapps studio, but it doesn't seem to work here.

    I like the way you teach. But I do have a basic question. Since Teams is for communications, why would I want a table like what you made? Actually, the thing that is MOST needing explaining is why we can't easily invite people outside our organization to a Teams meeting. Adding members is a laborious one-by-one task. When you want to meet with many people, it just isn't worth using Teams. Rather use Zoom just because Microsoft makes it so hard to add members from outside the organization. THanks.

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  Před 3 lety

      Doug I have teams meetings with people outside my org multiple times a day without issue. Sorry you are having challenges with it. I taught a class this week with 100 people all from outside my org. When you create a meeting it generates a link. You can share that with anyone and they can join the call. I think Zoom is way harder to use and has no functionality like this. 😀

    • @moodberry
      @moodberry Před 3 lety

      @@ShanesCows Shane, it isn't that you can't, it is that you have to add them one by one to the team before you invite them. Why doesn't Microsoft have a way to invite members in bulk?

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  Před 3 lety +1

      You don’t have to add them to the meeting. Get a link for the meeting and send it out. Anyone with the link can join.
