- I think we have found the cheapest and most budget way to get out there and explore Iceland!
In this camping episode we head to Thorsmork national park to go on an absolutely insane hike overseeing beautiful Iceland below. From there we head to see the best waterfalls we have ever seen - Skogarfoss, and Seljarlandsfoss before making our way to Viks black sand beach.

I'm from Iceland and I have lived here all of my life.🇮🇸
Ólöf Inga Einarsdóttir your country is beautiful....we visited a few years ago...
The luck of the draw...
I wish I could say that
“We just stopped randomly at a masive glacier” haha that glacier is a vulcano is it’s called eyjafjallajökull the one that erupted last in 2010 and covered Europe with a big cloud of smoke
Haha umm where do we even start with the pronunciation of that volcano 😂
If you think this is a massive glacier just wait until you get to Vatnajökull.
No Shannon, that one is Snæfellsjökull
@@DrunkViking No, it was Eyjafjallajökull. They just moved it to be geographically located in the West instead of the South for reasons of Hollywood.
@@landkonnudur that can be true. Have not seen the movie. Just remember a trailer that talked about snæfellsjökull.
The music choices of the channel really make you dive into a daydream of indie romance and wonder. They've been popping into my recommended as of late and I'm thankful.
Congrats to the couple on their beautiful newborn. Good luck in your parenting adventure.
I've never wanted to go camping in my life. Until now.
Sitting in a lock down watching your old Iceland vlogs is giving me major travel fever
Iceland looks SO awesome!
Such an insane spot!! So glad we could check it out for you 😊
How BEAUTIFUL are the shots of Jess just walking, love it!
I just feel happy every time I receive a notification saying that you've just published a video ! Thank you for this.
Ahh you are so so sweet :) Hope you're enjoying our Iceland series!!! We LOVED filming it!
Iceland looks incredible! I had never given Iceland much thought before until this year. I had friends visit there earlier in the year when it was all snowy and wintery and it’s cool to watch your perspective exploring it in the summer. What a beautiful country. ❤️
One of the best Iceland videos I've ever watched! Thank you for making this! I an't wait to visit!
The landscape is beautiful and wonderful.
The "landmarks" or hexagonal pillars you saw were probably basalt columns. The volcanic rock cools down and then cracks are formed in a certain pattern. The ones in Ireland are called the Giant's Causeway after its interesting legend which involves a Scottish giant. There is also Fingal's Cave on Staffa, Scotland which was formed around the same time.
I'm Icelandic and I have travelled all around iceland. I did it with my family to visit relatives and sleep there and it took 2 weeks.
Amazing as always! Loving these Iceland videos, can't wait to see where you guys are headed next!
It’s really all those views , i can’t believe it , you are so lucky . The view of waterfalls is beautiful .
Iceland looks so incredible! I have been wanting to go but watching your videos make me want to go even more!
I don't know why but the positivism you guys possess and the consistency of that makes me feel refreshed after watching you guys .

Beautiful video once again! 😄 Iceland reminds us of Scotland so much, very similar landscapes
Yes it does indeed. Very similar to the Scottish highlands :D
Then I'll love Iceland even more than I though because I love Scotland too much for words
Another amazing Jess video.
You guys are beautiful inside and out! Your videos always make me smile!
Awww Tammy :) :)
Don’t know how another video can top this one but I’m looking forward to it.
Really LOVED your video! I'm much into camping (beeing a biker) and if I'll ever make it to iceland, I'll surely try this. Thank you so much!
Thank you for taking me. and a wonderful selection of music :-)
Monolithic rock formations are so cool when you stopped and saw the black sand! You'll see those again at Giants Causeway in northern Ireland!
I'm living for your videos guys
I stayed at the second campsite of you trip a few years ago! It was my last night of a 7 day trek along the Laugavegur trail in Iceland. This trek is the most beautiful trek ever and has the most diverse landscape! I highly recommend anyone who is going to Iceland to do this trek! ( I did it at ~16 yrs old so anyone can do it) It is also more affordable than going on an organized tour like this, so if someone is looking to see what Iceland really looks like, and stay at some AMAZING campsites, know that there are other ways to do it than a tour! I cannot recommend this trek enough! Iceland is gorgeous
What kind of food would be recommended for such a long trek? I guess canned food would be king in this situation but I am asking because you already went through that. Thanks! :)
Just love your videos you both are a real pleasure to watch.
Love the views and we think that this would be the best time too cold any other time ha ha stay safe and have fun
Ohh, Iceland ... How come this place look soo marvelous? 😍🇮🇸
I know right? Why has it taken us this long to explore it?
Love your vlogs. You inspire me to travel more!
Awwh that makes us so happy :) Where do you want to go next??
Flying The Nest Greece - Santorini and Mykonos!

Hope you guys have a lovely day!

Hey guys,
Now Iceland is my dream destination. Thank you for introducing me to this beauty.
From Sunil & Param.
Always happy when there is notification on my phone when u post a video.Hope u make another candy video all the best guys ✌️
Id love to make it to Iceland one day, see the green fields with the volcanic rock boulders. It's such a land of constant extremes, volcanos and glaciers, soft fields and rugged mountains. Just knowing how it was discovered, sailing out into the unforgiving ocean not knowing if you'll find land or fall off the edge of the world. I love everything about it, it seems like such a great adventure
Love it guys
I hate how these dont have more viewers! You guys are the best wish you luck.
Stunning country is all I can say
i jus forgot that i am in dubai right now, u guys took me into iceland . beautiful video with nice edit and music. worth watching!!
Omgosh guys the taco dog night, what a highlight haha loved this :)
Very nice and helpful video for first time visitors 👍
Glad you got some advice out of it :)
Very nice you guys,i love iceland.
I went to Iceland for 12 days this may. Although the weather was windy, had 60% I miss it every second since then.
Don’t know if I write it elsewhere, but I love Jess‘ voice. Also your australian english is so clear and nice to hear.
Sometimes I only listen to your voice instead of watching.
i'm very excited for the insanely epic last video in Iceland !!!!!!
Ohhh it is going to be EPIC :D
Iceland is so amazing
Thanks for sharing that with us 😍😍😍
Hope you find it helpful :)
Oh yeah it's really helpful☺thanks again
one thing i dont do.. is watching people do travel blog about the country i live in and have for all my life.
but i really enjoyed this, you have a way of getting me to smile along with you.
i hope you enjoyed our little island,
i hate breaking it to you, but the continent thing on þingvellir is a bit of a hoax, its actually only the american contident and then a nother little one that broke of either one of them, that one then reaches all they way up to the vatnajökull area, thats why you get all the volcanic activity up there, because thats where the eurasian continent comes up shore.
when traveling in iceland i think the most fun is to go over the highlands and the circle road on a modified truck or SUV, thats something you dont do on a budged, but thats the way to experience the country.
then there are so many other places, like the westfjord peninsula, the area that looks somewhat like the head when you look at the country at a map. the tourist routes usually bypass that area completely. also snaefellsnes and many other place.
cheers!
They are a great inspiration to me. Greetings from Mexico City.
Ahhh so good! Keep it coming guys! You made me laugh so so hard at times in this one! Taco dogs!!! 😂😂 love the rendition of the bi polar immitation of Jamie Oliver/Gordom Ramsay that girl was hilarious too! Great choice of music especially on the bus! The stones Jess was walking up that looks like steps looks like where we will visit in the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland in a few weeks :) We will be headed to England first this weekend! :) Hope they have sorted out their luggage issues at Heathrow lol
By the way, I can see you both have such a passion for trave that has not burnt out and to be honest - I believe it only gets far stronger of a flame when you do it more often - it is very addicting and never goes away :)
You guys planning on travelling for life?
Your videos are not good for my bank account!! Thanks for more great content guys! X
you guys are amazing
this is so so cool!
The most Epic place on earth I have visited!
Another entertaining vlog !! As always! :) You are my inspiration to have my own channel :)
Being wait for this ☺️ .hope you too r doing good
Aww hope you enjoy it :D
oh my god... it's like you're in a fairytale... wow!
"Insanely epic last video from Iceland"...as if these don't fit that category already! :)
Absolutely tremendous!
That shot @9:53 was so adorably cute
I was in Island twice with my motorcycle 1997 and 2000 , it's the Most beautyfull Place i know 👍👍👍👍👍
Taco dog 🤣
Oh god, you’re killing it !
Oh you were, seeing as the video is a yeah old
Awesome, so happy for you guys to tick Iceland off your bucket list 😊 not sure about the hotdog tacos tho lol
So beautiful
Please go to Malta during their summer timer ! You will love it
More on the budget videos!
Just recently found this channel by luck and love it so far, it inspires me to travel more. Try Sweden we have some great food atleast if you try the local good stuff and stay away from the fermented herring. and btw swedish local food taste better than the IKEA stuff :D Great channel love it
I remember going behind that waterfall! I didn't have a jacket with me back then and I was soaking wet and shivering 😂
The massive "steps" are basaltic rock. It forms these formations due to volcanic eruptions. Also on that same beach you could see 3 large rocks in the sea? There is a legend going on about that. Smth about trolls or giants having to run for their life and turning into stone.
Idk why but im just getting happy seeing this im from iceland btw🥰😍
Your trip looks so amazing. Would you guys recommend going as a group or going just as a couple then arranging a tour when in Iceland?
The rock formations by the black sand beach is called Stuðlaberg (could translate as column rock). I saw in earlier video from you that you were admiring the architecture of Hallgrímskirkja (the big church in Reykjavík). The design of the church was meant to represent this Stuðlaberg.
This is breathtaking. May I ask which camera do you use? I love that all details and moods are well preserved in your vdos!
“There is not a visible cloud in the sky at the moment.”
*obvious clouds over left shoulder*
lol... Nice video though! :)
🌿Love the hike. At the campsite minute 5:30 I’d guess you’re eating crowberries. We’ve only ever gone in June sometime I’d like to go for berry season.
Epic drone footage... Love the contrast of glacier against the green... :)
What were the temperatures you had...?
Were the "Taco-Dogs" just shell, beans & dog...? Or did you have accompaniments...?
thanks for the video
:) :)
Flying The Nest thanks my friend for taking time and reply me I already add you in my Facebook 😙
Those berries are called crowberries. I couldn’t get enough of them. Everywhere we went I picked those and wild blueberries.
Hooked on urls videos .
Keep it up .

Cold tap water is on pair with Norwegian water (in other words, good =)
The hot water...
Because it's heated by volcanic heat in many places it tends to smell a bit like rotten egg...
The taste is ok though if you don't mind the smell.
