Tena kotou Mahinarangi ,Alf and Kerrin, Tina and Lara. Pakeha have to accept and not pretend to give excuses about the disadvantages for Maori. Not targeting other ethnic groups ( Asian, American, Middle Eastern etc ) but laws and institutional sturctures specifically targeted at making it so much more difficult for the Maori to gain any equity. Issues that impact Maori like Ihumatao, The Maunga Authority, Health inequities, Education, Housing , Homelessness and Mental Health to name a few.

Maori have to accept that the disparities we see are not the result of racism, discrimination or colonialism.

the idea of maori wards is racist - NZ is multicultural , not bi-cultural, this is an outdated policy

Please please tell me What is it that "Maori " want to say? Specifically what are the ISSUES that are so concerning . Yes I think many people are DISENGAGED from political interest, maybe this is the fault of education! maybe we need to fine everyone who does not front up to vote....$100 if you do not front ....money to go to a charity of their choosing.. NOT to govt! we actually live in a democracy so we need to DO the obligations of actually participating> The problem as I see it is where will racially qualification eventually go? Conspiracy ?anti vac etc nutters only exist because people are not sufficiently educated to ask wise questions to expose rubbish ideas.. I respect INDIGINOS(?) folks but what difference is that from others? Where does tribalisms bad effects emerge ,where does pride in heritage become entitlement & to what?
