I have a Beta 300RR with a carb. I have made it street legal for connecting trails. It is an amazing trail and fire road bike. Todays two strokes are much different than when I had them in the 1970's and 1980's

Awesome review could not agree with you more I have the same bike and like you I have had a bunch of bikes been curious about the TSP map after your review most likely will give it a try. Thanks

Thank for the review. Wish we had flowing smooth trails like that in Arizona! I've only ridden mine around my property thus far. Hard to describe, but compared to me 2022 500 EXCF, it's just fun. I've never been able to nail some of Rich Larson's techniques, but experienced serious improvement after just a few rides on the 300 XCW. I love my 500, just installed the lucky cartridges up front and national shock, incredible difference compared to the stock WP crap on the 2022s, I like a more plush ride. I think that's the only thing I need to get tuned in on my 2024 300, perhaps a little more plush on the suspension. Surprisingly, I just checked SAG, and it's set perfectly for my 202 lb geared up weight. I'm surprised as I'm sure the spring rate is a little under for my weight, but that's the way it came from the dealership. I've heard some people are replacing the linear rate spring with a progressive rate spring in the rear.

@MarkSpencerAZ Great info, yes, what a difference suspension makes.I was surprised that my rear didn't need a new spring rate as well. We got lucky! It is crazy how much fun these two strokes can be! Enjoy the ride! 👍 👌

Great vid, I’ve got the same bike. Are u running the stock handlebar. Did you upgrade to heavier spring rate?

You just gave me a good laugh, thanks for the compliment. My shop is embarrassing, but I am gradually thinning the herd of cars. Need more bikes! ;)

Great content. Thank you. I’m also running the TSP medium comp head and map on my 300 XCW TBI. Any comments on your FMF pipe and silencer compared to stock?

Sorry. I typed my question while I was watching and before you addressed it in your video. Not much difference….

Dude i live in Oregon and you should buy the one with reverse , if you went any slower , you might as well go backwards .

Are you still running the Med Comp TSP Head and insert?
I know TBI vs TPI, but on my 23 Husky I installed the TSP reflash and head kit with the med compression insert but it was really aggressive in the trails so I went back to the Low Comp insert and it made trail riding so much more enjoyable.

@tawerner2 Hi, thanks for chiming in! All excellent points you make. The TSP ECU reflash comes with two maps, I do run the less aggressive map on the trail and the more aggressive map everywhere else. Because I can run the less aggressive map, it probably makes the medium compression head a little more mellow. This is functional using the stock map switch that came with the bike, only one map is downloaded from two stroke performance, but with the stock map switch from KTM, the TSP maps are both preserved and functional. If I couldn't run the easier map on the trails, it would be a bit much, I agree 100%. Very good point!

I have that same issue with the transition between lugging and higher RPM, just seems like all the sudden it's running really rich? I was thinking about just doing the tune, no head change.
