I finally got my paddle board. I got my son and wife one and I tried my wife’s black fin x and it it is crazy easy to paddle too a kayak. I love it hopefully go on some adventures and fish off this thing. Thanks for the advice. Like to do an over night camp trip here on center hill lake TN. Just amazing light. Thanks again.
One major addition until you are totally comfortable. Don't look down at the board. Keep eyes on the horizon. Looking forward will help you stay more stable especially when first launching or rising from a seated or kneeling position.
Yea.... Maybe so....
Wife and I just went all in on paddle sports! Picked up kayaks and a trailer lol, grabbing paddle boards next. Maybe one inflatable and then something like the crescent sup+ for some variety! Definitely going to get a belt pfd. Thanks trip!
Oh nice Heath! Yall are ready now!!! Live it up! You're welcome.
Great video Trip! Thanks for sharing this video! Hope you had fun on our paddle board!
Thanks for posting this! I need all the help I can get on my paddleboard!
You're welcome Alan!
Excellent video.
Thanks.
Thanks for posting more SUP tips.
You're welcome Tina, thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, using the paddle as the third point of stability is very helpful.
You bet! Glad it was helpful!
Nice, a new paddle board video. It's been awhile. I watch from England and you have been a massive inspiration for me. I keep missing your live streams but hope to catch one soon.
It has been a minute huh? Yea, hope you can catch a live stream as well!
Nice tips Trip! I always use my paddle as a third support.
Glad you enjoyed them!
another great video Trip!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes sir!!!! Thanks!
Very helpful, thank you so!!!!🤗

hehehe ;)
Trip Top Tip: Men, don't wear high heels!! Just don't :))) Great video, wish you had it when I started paddle boarding. After all, you're the inspiration that got me out there :)
Dang right! Glad you are Out There!
Focus on looking out to the horizon when paddling! When you look down for an excessive amount of time it's easier to become disoriented and lose balance.
Yea, possibly so!
Adjusting the paddle length is something that I didn’t even consider.
Nice video Trip
Thankya bud!
Time for a adventure on the paddle board, when is your next on the board, and I see that is a new board you have,,
Yea... I need to figure out a good paddleboard adventure soon huh?
Hello! Just came across your page & love the videos so far. I’m just got into paddle boarding & I’m in love with it, probably a stupid question but you said in this video not to wear your leash in moving waters, why is this? Again it’s probably something I should know but just got into to the sup board scene lol.
Glad you are enjoying the videos!!!! If you go over in moving water (often times a river), there is a chance the leash could get wrapped around something which could pin you underwater..... That would not be a good situation. If you lose the board, you can get to shore in that situation. However out in open water with wind, you go over, you could lose the board as it's blown away from you and have a long swim.
@@TripSmith OK thank you I’ll keep that in mind. I didn’t know that I’m kind of new to all this. I appreciate the response and look forward to more videos. Thank you. t
I rarely stand up. I use it like a kayak 😊
what kind of belt PFD is that? I cant seem to find that type..I think its better than a jacket.
I believe it's a Onyx. Here ya go amzn.to/3YsU5Gw. I like that one a lot.
Men - "dont be wearing that stuff" - LOL. Nice one Trip.
Yea buddy!
❤ 💙
I had a belt pfd but I paddle on ocean.. just read on the instructions that they're not recommended on ocean
They all have their pro's and cons.
Are you offering "on board" Pilates classes soon? 👍
I have thought about something like that. Maybe more of day trips or something.....
Tried and found I’m too goofy for a paddle board. Great info though, might knock the dust off and try it again.
Haha! I hear ya bud. Go for it! It really just takes time to get comfortable.....
Why is wearing a leash on moving water, a danger? Can you expand on that?
If you go over in running water there's a chance that the line could wrap around a rock or a stick log. This could then pin you underwater which of course would not be good
@@TripSmith would any river be considered moving water or is their a current strength requirements? Thinking about getting a board so I've been soaking in all the SUP information I can find lol.
@@celderian there is no hard set rule or current speed or things like that that determine it. It's kind of use your best judgment after being aware of the dangers.
It seems as if the lake is connected to the open sewer of all surrounding houses.
Nah, this was pretty clean gulf of mexico water on a high tide 👍
Came for paddleboarding tips. Got homophobia instead. Nice 👍
Nice lol
u just need to drink some beers first
That would make for a more interesting video....
Hey mate are you sure 12 psi is enough for that board? I see it bending all the time like crazy, not a stiff product at all. For sure I prefer my Jobe. It is almost a hard board not that flex, don't like it. Sorry mate
It seemed sufficient there. But I do prefer a board with a higher PSI rating ;)
