I've been watching paddle boarding videos for months and I've learned more in the last four and a half minutes than I have in that time. Wow.
Glad you found this video! 🙂
Jimmy is the ultimate SUP pro, nobody better...watch and learn!
This is the best beginner SUP video I’ve found on CZcams. I’m a WPA certified instructor and I use this one for anyone not taking a lesson, but who is going out for the first time. There are a lot of how to SUP videos out there that demonstrate glaring errors in what they teach, and often discrepancies between what they say and what they are showing… such as saying don’t stroke past your hip, then they are carrying the stroke to the tail in the demo. This video covers all the essentials for a newby and does so accurately. Thank you so much Isle!!!
Really appreciate your feedback, glad to hear you're able to utilize this video from your first timers!!
Great video...can't wait to get out there..thank you
Thanks for the simple tips and tricks, they are all very well done and easy to apply.
Thanks Kim, glad you're enjoying them!
Thanks. Very useful information
You're welcome! If you have other topics you'd like us to cover let us know!
Very good video, is shown relaxed👍😁
The only video that you gonna need 😮
A great way to get you started on the right foot!
great video thanks for your work
Thanks glad you found it helpful!
What a brilliant video, thank U, really helped me understand how to do this (my whole family can and i can’t so this will help be catch up and be involved in the fun with them. Thanks again,
So glad you found this video helpful for you and your family! Have fun and be safe out there :-)
Nurse approved! I learned more from your video in the first three minutes than other instructors! Im new to paddle bosrding. Keep up the strong work. Thank you for teaching on the water. Where are you located?
So glad you found the video helpful! ISLE is a San Diego based brand but we have team members in various locations around the country. Jimmy Blakeney, the instructor in this video series, is our VP of Product and located in New England.
Very informative. I wonder if it applies to kayaking when using the paddle correctly.
Glad you found it helpful! Using a paddle efficiently is very similar with SUP and kayak, with some differences related to blade shape, seated vs. standing and the ability to engage core muscles when kayaking if you have a foot brace. We will be releasing a kayaking instructional series later this year!
How so you get back on if you fall off in the middle of the lake?
What's that letter or sign in the beginning of the video on ur paddle ?
That's our yin-yan (better in balance) "S" logo - if you look at the ISLE logo it's just the S pulled out by itself.
Where was this shot?
Mission Bay, San Diego
I would have used the paddle the wrong way round, lucky i watched this
My biggest issue was trying to balance. I think I made it 32 seconds
Keep trying, and remember that a wider board will offer the most stable platform for learning. If balance is a factor we do sell quite a few of our 12' Megalodon to customers looking for ultimate stability, even for single person use.
"always paddle with friend". I get the leash and the lifejacket (although I think its totally unnecessary to have both and never used neither of these once) but lets not treat ourselves as children. Supping alone is awsome! Its freedom of going wherever you want in your own speed. Just you and the water - a peacefull experience.
Thanks for your feedback. This video is intended to introduce new paddlers to the sport in a safe and user-friendly way.
@@Islesurfboards make sense.
Set news
I’m still a bit wary about standing
We know it can be intimidating! Even when kneeling your still paddling and learning so keep at it. One tip of you're nervous to stand is to practice on land until you are comfortable going from kneeling to standing.
Yo whats that paddle?
That's the new 2022 adjustable travel paddle, only available with new 2.0 ISLE inflatables
POV: You misclicked
Nowdays u need instructor for everything... Im not saying its bad but cmon guys... You fell 5 times, 6th time you learn how to not fell and enjoy.
Trial and error is a great learning method, but with some tips in advance you're ahead of the game. And with paddlesports safety is a huge issue for those just getting started. Paddle boarding is definitely accessible enough to learn on your own, but nuanced enough for lifetime of learning and discovery in the details of technique.
@@IslesurfboardsI'm the type who will case the joint before I go most anywhere, I really appreciate this video, I just bought my first paddleboard and I'm taking it out this weekend, in less than five minutes, I feel more comfortable and confident that I will have fun and be safe, so thanks!
Annoying music, ruins an otherwise useful video.
We're digging the vibe, but hey can't please everyone!
Annoying innecesary background music
Sound off + captions on = solution! Can't please everyone with music choices :-)
@@Islesurfboards youre right. Sorry for my unnecessary comment and thanks for the post. Have a gReat 2024
