What a dummy
Seems a waste of your money and time not utilizing these anchor points.... you could have spent 20$ on foam supports instead.... haha Anchor points on soft racks have purpose.... haha
Why don't you use the anchor points on the soft rack to anchor your kayak?
Great if you add 2 set of velcro paddle holders on each side. we ride 4 to 6 on the 15; and 4 on the 12'.
Any tips on hard shell vs. inflatable when taking toddlers on with you?
Having lost TWO of these $45 dollar fins straight out of the gate following these directions carefully, I HIGHLY recommend properly using the bolt!
I totally want an Isle, but I don't want a silly fin box. I am bothered by the inability to buy special funds for different situations. So, can I follow the same scenario and replace the Isle proprietary box with a US fin box?
It’s sold out for this July 4th… unfortunately people can’t use the summer discount on this board
Hi we have been waiting on our boards. They were labeled by Fedex on 6/17 to arrive on 6/22 but they are still not here. We have emailed and spoke to customer service. I was just hung up on 5x in a row. They were supposed to get back to me.
Do you need to be careful paddle boarding in the ocean because of currents? Or is it not like swimming and you can overcome them?
How so you get back on if you fall off in the middle of the lake?
lol the sharks would make me crap myself
I wish this message will reach Jimmy or any of the designers, I really like your work but I hope if you train customer service more, I have been trying through Facebook and through phone to have one simple question. Which is faster Switch 2 or Switch pro ? Or from speed perspective will be the same
I don't see Switch 3 on the website, only switch 2, also on Amazon I see switch, is this 2 or 3 ?
They sold out of the on sale Switch 2 yesterday, and today they put up the Switch 3 back on the sight and also on sale!
@@adamwohlers7649 Not sure what is the difference !!! both are the same

@@SamMelik I dunno either. Been researching different models and brands for hours and hours 😅. But They discounted it $300 vs $200, so it’s $100 cheaper. I thought I just missed my opportunity, but alas! Looked at ISLE cause Amex Platinum was giving $150 rebate… also 10% off code PADDLE10. Just ordered it.
How to decide between the Switch pro and the pioneer 3 with kayak add on? Why should I choose one over the other?
How to decide between the Switch pro and the pioneer 3 with kayak add on? Why should I choose one over the other?
Love my hybrid. You will get wet though- either a pro or con depending on the season. So great to toss in my truck when exploring bc can do anything with it if I come across a body of water- SUP, kayak or just float and laze around on it. And they are super stable. Not great for really covering long distances at speed as a SUP compared to a solid core SUP. Better as a kayak for covering longer distances at speed, though you definitely need to be able to convert your SUP paddle to a double sided kayak paddle to gain this advantage. About the same as any general use sit inside or sit on top kayak I would say.
I thought that moving forward on my board helped me on a really windy day once, but I didn’t know if it was just in my head. This makes so much sense! I’m definitely doing this from now on. Thanks!
What do you use if its on the seams?
Video seems corrupted at 3:00
Do you have a angle from below the water?
Any chance of shorter fins? I have a Switch Pro and would like to use it in skinny waters and rivers for fishing. The 9" long 'touring' fin that comes with it is great but a shorter option would make the board a lot more useful.
Thank you! This is exactly what I was trying to figure out!
Would have been nice not to lose the original fin in my first ride due to the plastic pins failing. 😢 won't trust those ever again - as a $45 fin isn't so.ething I can replace over and over.
Hi the sound is really quiet compared to your other videos and you might want to look at making it louder
Thanks for the feedback!
Very helpful, thanks
Great design, love the manufacturing process! Happy with my Meg's 2.0 now waiting to get the new 3.0.
Excellent news! If the Meg 2 is already amazing, I can't wait to get the new Meg 3.0.
Why the new boards aren’t available in Europe?
The Pioneer 3 is arriving soon!
Great! Can we maybe expect switch pro this year? You make the best products and being unable to buy them is beyond frustrating 😂
Great series.. though might want to teach people how to stop before teaching them how to be faster 😅
Noted! :-)
The pump is loud and slow, is it possible to make it faster?
At this time there isn't really a work-around to create a silent pump as it has to compress the air, which is what makes the noise. The speed is also related to compression, as it can only go so fast. We don't recommend air compressors as they inflate TOO fast and can be a hazard for overinflating, which is dangerous.
Are they stable when sitting?
Yes, very!
Terrible video, I can’t see the paddle
Check out the full size video on our CZcams channel!
The music is unbearable! :P

@@Islesurfboards Not watching it, even better ;)
When do you expect this to be available/on the website?
Meg 3 will be available on June 5th!
Hi, company. I am wondering about the set of the paddle in the video, it’s looking stunning. Could I get a hand for contact of purchasing? Thank you.
Glad you like the paddle, it is available on our website! www.islesurfandsup.com
You guys definitely need to make an inflatable race board using this infinity fibre material!
Stay tuned....
Would love this video on the pro series, just ordered the explorer pro and couldn't find how they compare at the pro level.
The comparison is similar for our Pro Series with regards to how each model will perform compared to the others. However your Explorer Pro is a little bit narrower/longer than our Explorer 3, so it will have a little more glide and speed (especially with the added rigidity too).
What material is the soft top made out of?
EPS foam core, fiberglass, then EVA foam on top, HDPE "slick skin" on bottom over a soft foam. We use high-density foam for all inserts for strength in the critical areas.
Where we kayak, there are lots of logs and other debris sticking up from the water. This makes me concerned about inflatables. Can they withstand that?
Yes, they are very durable, similar construction and materials to a whitewater raft. Of course it is possible to puncture them, but very uncommon for every day paddling. They can take a lot of abuse!
Com'on paddle! This is like a dog video with no dog. (What paddling you do do at the end is all arms and shoulders....) Okay DIY footbrace. You're heading in the right direction. I'm looking to turn one of my SUPs into a kayak. I've been a sea kayaker for almost 20 years. The stroke is in your core, not in the arms. so a good seat/footbrace is essential. My first kayak was more canoe shape and I'd consistently average 4 knots over 10 nM. I've since made a longer 'racing' kayak that's never been as fast. So I think an SUP which skims more like a canoe could be great. I always use a foot brace in my kayaks. (The pegs that are everywhere on kayaks are junk. Your feet go numb, if you actually have a stroke you'll break them every year or two. I use them to support a footbrace. They actually work for doing this.) I think the best foot rest for an SUP would be attached to the seat. I always pad mine out with 1/2" yoga mat. The power of a good kayak stroke transfers into the kayak through the feet. So attached to your seat and weight would be good. In front of the foot brace, have support down to the SUP, less flex is more power. The best way to learn a good kayak stroke is to 'Frankenstein." Hold your arms out straight (like the monster) and then paddle without bending your elbows. The only way this works is if you rotate your core. That's the correct motion. The other things to know is as soon as the paddle blade passes your body lift it up. (As a rookie I had a 30 nM day paddling out to Anacapa Island off California and back lifting tons of water because I lifted my paddle too far back.) And never feather a paddle unless you're in the Olympics. I see people being taught to kayak, but not to use their core, but to use a feathered paddle. They're never going to be efficient but they have a good chance of injuring their wrists. It's like trying to teach people on bicycles with flat tires. I've paddled into 15 knot winds with a straight paddle. Water is 800x denser than air, so feathering isn't necessary unless you're after seconds over 1000m) Sorry to be such a crank.
I love the fact that it doesn't have the molded on fins on the bottom. They get bent out of shape when it's folded up for storage. I'll be coming by the shop soon to discuss some things with you guys!
Is the switch pro fast like the Explorer (pro)? Also are the 3 series paddle boards as strong as the pros?
The Switch Pro is 35.5" wide, where the Explorer Pro is 32" wide. Narrower if faster, so the Explorer is faster. The Switch prioritizes stability, where the Explorer prioritizes speed (but less stable). Our 3 Series boards are super durable, and are the same drop-stitch used in the Pro Series - the primary difference is InfinityFiber used in the Pro Series makes them incredibly rigid (why we call them "Inflatable hardboards"). Bottom line is if you want lightest weight go with 3 Series. If you want super rigid (closer to an epoxy hardboard) go with Pro Series
@Islesurfboards Thank you! I ended up getting an explorer pro kit and a bogo pioneer 2 😁 We finally have some warm days coming up next week, and everything arrived yesterday. I like speed and I think and hope the explorer pro will be perfect for myself. The pioneer 2 is for my mom 😁
Can you do a video where you don’t cut out how to actually get into the seat? Thanks
Sorry that wasn't included in this video - for a sit-on-top kayak like the one in the video (Switch Pro), you do just "climb on" as shown here. For a sit-inside kayak with a cockpit there are various techniques to help with getting in and out of the kayak. We will work on that for a future video!
Please watch the video. As Jimmy sits on the kayak, he lifts one leg and at that point the video is cut and the next thing we see is him already in the seat. I would help to see the entire process. Thank you.
Can you do a video on how to get on the Switch Compact. The seat is in the way for what videos show for mounting without the seat.
This video should help, but we are also planing a video for getting on/off that is more comprehensive: czcams.com/video/_0ZEaVdTDLE/video.html
Can I have one for free?
Sure! Nah, sorry, but stay tuned for their arrival in a few weeks!
The Megalodon looks like so much fun!
It is!! :-)
I fell over 6 times while watching this and I'm sitting in my living room.
LOL
how long to manually inflate with included pump?
Depends on your effort, but about 10 minutes
