Tried it, but once I fell, I wasn’t able to get back on the board. Between the PFD & my boobies, I was getting stuck. I also probably don’t have enough strength in my arms. I am going to try from the back & using the rope to see.
@@fannygo6673 👏🏼Awesome job getting out there! Getting back on your board takes practice and like you said can be more difficult for females. Plus if you have an inflatable it sits higher off the water than a hard board.

With the rope/strap method you can also tie it to your middle and back handle (if you have one) and use it to grab onto when getting on from the rear of the board. It will help give you more leverage.

So I’m new to paddle boarding. Surfed some and was hoping it would transfer over. And it did. But there are so many other factors involved in padding boarding. So thanks for all your tips. You'll want to check the weight capacity to ensure it will have enough volume for your needs. Wider boards will be more stable for beginners but will not be as efficient or fast in water.
My first board and one I still use a lot today is 11'3 in length and 32" wide and it's a great beginner board with room to grow into the sport. If you're looking to hike to lakes with the board ideally you want a compact inflatable paddle board. I know a few companies make them. I have two from Red Paddle Co and they are a lot lighter and pack down to half the size of my other iSUPs. Of course they are a little more expensive. If you can test some boards about before you commit either from renting, borrowing form friends or from a store/brand demo day.

Wearing a full foam vest PFD and staying within shoreline distance is also recommended.
Can you make a “how to flip your paddle board back over”? 😅 I’m struggling. We started taking our dog and I had to have my partner help flip me back over. But I’d like to learn how to do it on my own! 😆

How do you keep your hat on? I am sure I would loose it.
lol great question! The hat has an elastic band for head fit plus a chin strap. It’s pretty secure 🙌🏼
Only got paddle board last week and only been out on it once ,couldn't get back on the board so is it a case of practice practice practice and practice different methods to get back on the board,what is the easiest method to get back on

I like getting on from the side but everyone is different so it's important to practise and see what works best for you and your equipment.
