- It's 2,000 points of Dark Elves VS. 2,000 points of Vampire Counts in a Scenario from the Warhammer 6th Edition Rulebook! Vampire Counts are led by a Lahmian Vampire Queen riding a Winged Nightmare while the Dark Elves are led by an incompetent Sorceress who can't do anything even when she does successfully cast a spell! The Dark Elves have some heavy artillery such as Bolt throwers and every second model is carrying a crossbow so... let's hope the Lahmian General won't be shot down off her mount. That would be bad and this game could be over quickly if that happened.

I hate that most battle reports are 2-3 hours long. 10-30 minutes with some well editing and narrative style and/or storytelling is incredibly fun!

This is probably the best produced and most watchable Warhammer video I've ver seen. Thank you--very well done, clear, funny. Especially both saying and showing what all the dice are, and the length. As one other commenter said, I the DE should get +1 and the black horror spell should have gone off. Was the elf sorceress the only character?
Thanks Henry! Took a few hours to edit. Yes we missed the +1 magic for Dark Elves! I mean, all it would have done is wipe the VCs out a turn faster haha

Great Bat Rep! It wouldn't really make a difference, but I think he has to roll to hit the Monster/General with the bolt thrower, and then you roll again to randomize between the character and mount.
You are correct but it was large target, so most likely hit it before hand.
And how come she died from a single bolt? 2W?

It's hilarious how little damage everything does and how important morale is, Half of the battle is decided in leadership test after combat hahaha

One simple suggestion for you: split those ghouls up into groups of 6. You don't get ranks, banners and you probably aren't outnumbering with ghouls. Use the fact they cause fear, can always march and move through any terrain at full movement speed to treat them like hard hitting guerilla combatants that deal 12 poisoned attacks on a charge and 48 pt disposable chaff if they die or run away.

Loved my 6th edition dark elf army. Two units of 16 xbows, shades with xbows, chariots with….. xbows! Two repeater xbows. I also used to run a unit of halfling scout dogs of war.

Banger of a battle report! A nice narrated format over turn footage. Quick and easy! Christos' videos are great, too, but sometimes you just want something bite sized that doesn't need you to dedicate sitdown time to watching it. I hope you'll pop up with some more of these over time, your Vampire Counts need to take some revenge!

the Cold ones would only need a fear test against the Black coach as they cause fear themselves. Hence would never take a terror test.

The bolt thrower needs to hit first before rolling to see if it hit the rider or monster.
Where does it say Heroes must be placed in the middle of the unit? In the army books photos of Heroes in units show them at the edge of the unit always

4:35 Not to nitpick but Dark Elves live for 1,000's of years. Elves themselves rarely die of old age. So 100 years wouldn't mean much to them. Their leader Malekith and his mother Morathi are over 7,000 years old. 6:15 Rolling a 3 on a d3 means only 2 wounds. Not 3. So the Vampire Count(ess) should be alive with one wound. Unless she took one wound from something else not shown. 7:42 It looks like you rolled a 1 and a 2 so the Spirit Host should have passed the test with ld 6. Grave guard ld 8. So even if the other dice rolled a 6 then they would still only be 2 wounds. Skeletons have a ld 3 so they should have taken 5 wounds.11:10 I think you forget to attack with the cold one themselves. 13:18 One thing that never made sense to me is Necromancers are just normal humans who use necromancy. So, there shouldn't be any bonuses or penalties that the undead have.
A few things you may have missed.
6:15 The dice rolled had the numbers: 1,1,2,2,3,3 on the sides so it was a literal D3. No 4, 5 or 6 was on it.
7:42 You haven’t counted the combat res loss which gets added to the crumbling ld tests
13:13 Yes I also hate this about Necromancers in 6th edition. They are considered undead
This was our first battle report so there were some mistakes. Although I haven’t seen a perfect batrep on CZcams yet where they missed something
@@DwainiacWarhammer I didn't realize they made d3 dice like that. My bad. The Spirit Host didn't actually fight anything during the game. So there shouldn't have been any combat rez for them. I guess they were too far away. It doesn't look like any of the undead were engaged in combat at the end of phase. Yeah, no such thing as a perfect battle rep. The way I used to play would have been completely laughable to anyone with even a basic understand of the game. Since there were so many psychology rules to follow, I just ignored them. Thus my High Elf Lord died to a bunch of unbreakable goblins. A shame I will never live down. So did I get anything right?
