Heyy I'm arab, it depends on what dialect you want to learn as she said in the video. Syrian or Lebanese are the easiest. I'm half Syrian and half Lebanese so I can give you some tips. Try to learn the alphabet first, and then reading and then writing. Then learn about the culture and all of that. Also there are so many arabic series you can watch like honestly watching arabic movies is the easiest way to learn arabic. I hope you will be able to learn arabic and also speak arabic.

@@mi-qx2wv Thank you so much for your advice, I don’t have many tips for learning languages but one thing that really helped me in learning languages are buying textbooks. I usually get them from my local book store but I believe there are some online that may help you. For Hindi and Punjabi my parents helped me a little bit because they both speak those languages, but I strongly suggest learning the alphabets, and you can also get apps to help. (But don’t heavily rely on them because I’ve heard some people say they are false.) but in the beginning they could be beneficial to get an idea of the sentence structures and basic vocabulary. Other then that, I recommend you constantly practice and revise, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Good luck

If anyone has found that Anki doesn't work for them, if you have some spreadsheet knowledge you can totally make your own quizes in something like Excel or Google Sheets, I'm doing that for my Japanese learning in Sheets! I think it also helps me feel more connected to the learning in that I am the one who has built the entire system.
Like I have it set up to check my answer against multiple meanings of a word, I can sort by either the order I added words, by group (like people, animals, food, etc), I can order randomly, by how many times I have gotten words right (which is a bit of a manual process sadly). It's great!

I can assure You as an introvert, we like to talk to ... Introversion is more about where You gain strength from or how You recharche ... introverts need there time alone and they often have their emotional world happening inside, which is, why they talk rather less or with less people about such personal matters. But plain joking and universal topics are mostly very easy to talk about.

Very cool. Had to take 4 years of Spanish in highschool and hated every second. I've tried a couple of languages on Duolingo and end up dropping them after a while to start a new one. Maybe with italki I can push myself over that hump towards fluency. Most of my relatives are in Sweden so I might check that out 🤔

Frequency lists are a useful way. I found a Soviet-era book which gave frequency information for Russian vocabulary, I think the author was named Zasorina. The vocabulary was a little skewed in some respects but it was helpful - my passive vocabulary in the language quickly went up into the thousands.

I was wondering what your English accent is and now it makes sense :) You sound mostly American but then every now and then some British bits come through but not like full-on so that I could hear any specific geographical area there. I couldn't place you. The fact that you went to an international school but probably got lots of "natural" input in American varieties, given the larger percentage of media available in American varieties, makes so much sense. (sorry if I'm assuming and wrong ;))

So another useful tip id like to point out and btw hope Paris is amazing. That when you sit down and repeat something 100 times like cramming for a test. It goes to your temporary memory because your brain didn’t give it importance. When you are struggling to get words or certain phrases. Associate that word or phrase with something personal or even make up a story with it. If you’re listening to a song. Songs have there own story’s but you need to understand the story so translate the words. Then line by line envision that story with the pictures of what the words mean. You’ll never forget those words and what they mean. I only got this because for whatever reason in highschool I remembered the word “bailar” turns out bc it’s a visual memory. Bc we actually got up and danced in class. Trust me just try it if you struggle

    Great suggestions. Another is to
obtain 1 or more REFERENCE GRAMMARS for each language.
These are like grammar dictionaries--- concise, but sufficiently in depth to readily answer most questions while we
are.writing/ composing any texts.Thes are always useful to have on hand.
    Hope that this helps.
Also, 1 of 20th century's most polyglot organizations was multinational International Brigades and others, who volunteered to for Spanish
Republic vs Francis Spanish fascists, backed by Italian fascists
and German Nazis. Men and women from.many countries and languages went, including speakers

I already know Spanish(native language ), english(obviously), medium at Russian, beginner at Latin, Korean, and Greek, most challenging: Korean.
Because Latin is well similar to Spanish, and Greek is similar to Russian, and Korean, beautiful Language, beautifully big struggle. After I finish those languages I will move to Catalan(more Spanish based), and lastly Portuguese.
I have a really good memory so learning languages is not EASY, but it's not as complicated as most people think it is, especially if they are similar to languages I already know, like, Catalan, Spanish, Latin, and maybe Portuguese, Russian and Greek, and Korean, is lonely bc Asian languages are cool and beautiful but no thank you. I trued Japanese and hunny I STRUGGLED.
