Thanks so much for watching! We would love to hear in the comments if you have a specific shampoo you like to use on your dog?

Thanks you for this great video. Been looking for a shampoo for my dog that has allergies and dry skin. I will be giving a few of these a try.
I really love this video because is just a normal person speaking and explaining it like a human. CZcams seems to be flooded with videos of computer generated voices trying to sell products they have affiliate links to or people pushing really sketchy solutions. We need more videos like this from people with actual experience and not just trying to sell a product.

I’ve heard really good things about the Soos products, the first one that you mentioned. I definitely want to try that one.

I got a Shepard mix puppy born in April this year. Not tearing fur but nibbling on his fur. I don't see bites on hos skin from bugs.

You two are hilarious!🤣💦You remind me so much of my daughters and I. They are always giving me crap for messing up my words{amongst other things😁}. Apparently their QC{quality control}keeps me at the top of my game!?!😆
Question, have you ever used one of those hammacks for dogs and or cats? I got one about a year ago and its a complete game changer!
I have four yorkies and the 2 boys HATE having their nails cut. They are from the same litter so I'm guessing they had a bad experience before I got them. I also got a female a year later from the same breeder and she lives ANYTHING 'Spa Related'!😆 And so does my other female that was given to me by a different breeder because she had an ambilical hernia. So I'm guessing it's a boy thing?!? Either that or Jack and Bears first vet visit didn't go well?!?
Before I got this hammack, Bear had to be sedated by a vet, to even get NEAR his nails!
    But not anymore!
This is an underbelly hammock, where they hang suspended in a doorway, by a sturdy closet type, dowel rod. For some reason, they seem relaxed. I'm guessing it reminds them of gently swaying, in their mothers womb?!?
I use this Hammock to cut their nails, remove tarter from their teeth and for trimming around their eyes, etc.
Its nice because their paws have zero leverage to push off, hence zero injuries.
At first bear wiggled around but it wasn't long before he got the hang of it{no punn intended}😁
At first, I gave him a treat for being still and then a treat with each cut nail. Now he's a pro!
I thought I'd share in case you hadn't heard about them. Not to mention it would be great problem solving content. Not to mention you could get credit via an Amazon link. Just a thought. Granted... I'm a new subscriber and haven't seen all your videos yet. So I'm probably going on and on about something you've already covered!😆Regardless, thanks for making me laugh today. You are two perfect peas, in a pod!💚

The only shampoo that seems questionable is the oatmella shampoo. Which has tea tree oil in it and is slightly toxic to dogs from what I have seen when researching about it. They say it is bad if a dog ingests the oil, yet I don't know if it is bad in shampoo necessarily. Depending on how much is in the shampoo, of course. Since it technically does absorb into the skin, I do wonder if it is okay or not. All of the other shampoos sound great. Though I can't say that the oatmella is bad because I could be incorrect about that statement.

If I have a dog with multiple skin issues would I get two shampoos and combine them or? In my case, we have two dogs.
One, our pitbull, was born with demodex and still had a bad case when we adopted her. It's mostly under control except for occasional flareups, but she does still have slightly dry skin and dander. Our other is a cattle dog mix and has sensitive skin and skin allergies plus a little dander and is more prone to hot spots.
What would you recommend? Medicated, oatmeal, fragrance free, etc.? Should I also add dog conditioner or stick with just shampoo?

    • @FurryFriendsZone
      @FurryFriendsZone  Před 2 lety

Hi there thanks so much for watching. If your dogs have been treated by a vet at any point I would probably ask them first before you purchase anything. There are a lot of really good soothing shampoos for sensitive skin. The soap green oatmeal is a great one though. It sounds like it would work for both your dogs but checking with your vet first is what I suggest.

I don't know if this will help or not but the ones that I caught were:
      Soos Anti-itch Shampoo.
      Lemon-Aid (for double coated dogs,)
TropiClean OxyMed shampoo (with oatmeal and Jojoba oil). Use with:
Best Shot Ultra Plenish & conditioner
Best Shot Ultra Vitalizing Mist Spray conditioner and detangler.
Also Ear Clear (in another video) to clean out the ears with.

Your tips like choosing less ingredients shampoo or bath without conditioner are great but I wish you could tell us the efficacy of those anti itching shampoos. Is it effective as far as itching is concerned?
