This is good news... Unfortunately I've already started my conversion. I have both front and rear axles mounted and am currently working on steering. I would however be very interested in maybe a partial kit later to update the rear. As you just said, the G20 has 2" springs. I used 2.5" plates and blocks to lift mine but I would rather have a 2.5" spring if for no other reason than additional lift options. Thanks for all your hard work you guys are putting into this. I can say first hand that I know how much work this requires!

This is awesome! I'm currently working on a lift kit for the 2wd on my van, purely for aesthetics. I did the shackle flip in the rear and added 3 leafs on each side. I will make a front subframe drop bracket and have the idea of welding 2 steering rods with a metal plate in between (as in the Rough Country kit for the K-series trucks) to lower the steering assembly. In the mean time I will keep looking for dana axles, transfer case and 4x4 trans. Will definitely be interested in the kit in the future!!

Is a used 1988 ford 2500 4x4 worth buying for the parts to convert a 92 E3500 van to 4x4. ?? Or is it not worth it part wise?
Fantastic idea on the jig. It will make you more efficient on your builds and also create another revenue source through the DIY market. Although I believe that I have watched all of your build videos, I don't think I realize that the G20 and G30s had different width springs in the rear. I worked in technology my entire career and when I hear that comment about someone asking a question versus finding the info themselves, I have the same reaction.

Hopefully, you can keep the price a lot less than the only other option out there. I've been on the fence for a while, but the price of a kit is keeping from doing the conversion.
We are going to keep it down as much as we can to make it worth while for us. But a lot of time and trial and error goes in to figuring out what works and getting setup to build them in a timely manner. Thanks for watching.

Would you consider not drilling out any holes on the front bracket and leaving it up to the DIYer to drill them out?
Probably not. I think it would be tough to get the holes close once the kit is build. But thanks for watching and the suggestion.

I need a kit! I just want steering components if needed and a solid front axle conversion. I DO NOT want 4WD I just want a solid front axle for a lift to put 33s. My van is my baby and one of 2 money pits that will never stop getting money thrown at it.
I messaged on your website. Apparently I’ll need the steering kit and front axle kit only for my g30 1982. I’m not a Karen so won’t complain if I have to jimmy ahit. As a former small business owner, for a fact you’ll likely have 1 person purchase a kit out of 50 people asking. It’s an epidemic of everyone wanting stuff and asking or begging for it yet when available they don’t ask with thier money. . Also I’ve watched all your videos and without a doubt I either missed parts or something. I will 100 percent be buying a kit either from you guys or boulder. I’m leaning towards you guys due to boulder not having steering components though.

Great idea and hey I’ve used CPP “bolt” on kits for my 59 Chevy nothing fits without making it but still works will be watching. Will the parts fit 71? I know the Chevy vans are pretty close across the years
Thanks for the comment. No, they will not fit a 71, they changed the frame rails in 1984. And our kits will fit 84 to 96 G series. We have talked about figuring out a kit for the older ones. With just 3 of us and our limited space right now we can only do so much.
7/16/23. I have a ford e3500 1992. Will the main parts on a 1988 f250 truck 4x4. Will the parts fit my E3500 92 van?

Not sure if you can get to this I was wondering if you could send me a link to one of the best kits for my two-wheel drive g30 1 ton chassis I wanted to turn into a four-wheel drive it is from the Dodge dreamer era but is a Chevy longhorn manufactured in very low numbers from El Dorado industries same company that built the Dodge dreamer I wanted to turn it into a four-wheel drive and do some modifications I believe it is a 1982 I would have to double check I just watched the rest of your video and I have lots of time before I get to that point so hopefully you guys can figure out something for an eight lug 1 ton front end

The only thing is the motor mount might be a little different.
Had to borrow my sons youtube account to comment! Very interested on the front end parts. Will be adding 63” springs to the rear so all that will be custom. I’ll sell /trade you a 97 dodge van cheap, for a future build. Be kool if you could include dodge’s factory 4 link set up,(like on my 16 power wagon) Another eager customer,, but, I’d much rather you guys do the build . Mostly do to my work, leaves little shop time. Just being honest.
