Farming Simulator 2017 Timelapse #10: A New Chisel Plough!

- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
We've got a small field still to combine, but mostly today we're getting all our land planted. We're starting a crop rotation so that we can help to reduce diseases in the crops, so we're planting canola, sunflowers and wheat. We're also returning the small plough that we own and replacing it with a much larger chisel plough that better suits the local climate. This new plough is an absolute beast!

I don't know why. But whenever I am sad or angry watching these Timelapses calms me right down. Even just having them play in the background. (I watched them all multiple times allready, the FS17 ones anyway, so I know what comes next more often than not) And I really don't know how I could ever thank you for this...

Moar! I know these probably are very time consuming to make, but they're also beautify done. I can't seem to watch more than 2 episodes of farming sim at normal speed (I do like the game, it just gets dull) But with the music and the subtitles and the speed at which things gets done, these episodes just seem perfect to me :)
You're getting two a week from this week on, so hopefully that will help :)

Hey Frithgar, im having some issues, how did you manage to get the conveyor belts working when refilling seeds or fert.? in my game it doesn't work and i dont know what I'm doing wrong :o
Make sure you've got the latest update installed, 1.3.1, they had to patch it

Is that a modded plow the one you bought ? Looks very nice, I got the big 6 meters one, the one that is very difficult to turn with, I don't think I noticed the one you're using, I have to look it up.
It's the Jympa plough, it's in the modhub, one of the earlier mods, it's actually a subsoiler but it works in game like a plough
Can you please recommend me a plow ? Jympa is not listed anymore, anything 6m or so is better than that damn Sycandor or whatever is called.

Frithgar was just wondering if there is a possible way to get shout outs in your timelapse video. Im not sure if you like people asking and if you do I am really sorry ;(. If there is a possible way please let me know :)
I very rarely shout out someone on the time lapse, and when I do it's because of interaction from a previous episode that I asked for. In order to try to maintain immersion with the series I don't make a habit of it, it's every couple of months.

acctualy in the states we always plant the same crops because there will be bits of the other crop left in and the buyer would basicly give u the finger or u could clean it but us americans are very lazy so i just plant corn or soybean
you should Make fields 13 and 9 as one field
Was going to wait and join field 5, I didn't want all the extra corners joining 13. Also, it's harder to deliver to the grain sell point there if you remove one of the roads, especially as I like using road trains that can't be turned easily!

It's in game u can dump anywhere
You have to put it into a trailer first, then you can use the tip anywhere function and tip it onto the ground
combine f13 and f9 together!

did you know that plow is actually called a subsoiler
Yep, I've used one a few times, but it's the closest to a US style chisel plough that we've had so far. Word of advice, if you're using a subsoiler in real life, don't put your foot on the clutch with the machine in the ground. The tractor stops dead, you tend to keep going until you reach the front window....

Yes, it works like a normal plough for the game. It's actually a subsoiler, a machine you use to loosen soil to a much greater depth, but it's the closest I've found so far to a US style chisel plough which is what I was after.

The GPS mod is the one with the lines, there is a link in the description for that one, the roller is part of the vanilla game. Be careful using it though, if you roll grass it stops it from growing, all you are left with is green painted ground until you plough it up again.

if you buy new combine nuy the new holland and if possible dont buy case tractor

You need to cultivate even if it is a drill if you use a chisel plow
The one contract you did please don't buy that combine. With how stubby the combine is compared to the auger it looks ridiculous. Of course I'm one opinion and nothing stopping you but I just thought I'd give my 2 cents
Most of the combines designed for very large headers look like that, it's purely to make it easier to unload without risking hitting the header as you drive up the field.
Yes I know I farm myself, however, if you can find something more proportional that would be fantastic. Again if you do it won't be the end of the world and as only one person in the thousands who watch I can deal. I do love the time lapses though and they are always something I look forward to on Sunday. Also Happy New Year!
I'll be using other combines later on when I find mods that I'm happy with, however I will most likely be using that one to start with as I don't want to go for the biggest one, the New Holland because I used it so much in my FS15 series. Nothing is set in stone though! And Happy New Year to you as well :)
I binged watched all of those time lapses when i first found you So I know how much you used them. It is too bead the working hard map couldn't continue further. The one that you had to cut down all the trees in and plow the field. Because that map was really cool and refreshing, but I am sure by the time you can buy a big combine like the new Holland mods would have come out by then.
