    Oh my God Tony!!! Your video is fantastic. So informative. I really appreciate the time you have taken to compile a detailed summary of transport available from the airport. The visuals and instructions are so clear. I also appreciate the fact that you are available to answer questions regarding transport from airport to accomodation. I've travelled a lot but still get a bit apprehensive when embarking on new territory. Your video has made me feel so much better and I will certainly use it for my trip to Lisbon. Many thanks Tony. Keep up the great work and safe travels.

    Thanks for all infos, it's appreciated. We will visit Portugal in April 2024. We are flying to Lisbon and then take the train for Porto. Spend some time in Porto for 5 days, some time in Coimbra 5 days and 5 days at Lisbon. We don't want to rent a car for this time, just public transportation. I am watching your videos and you help me a lot to plan. We are from Canada. Thanks

      I dont know what trains station you go, but normally is the big 3 Oriente, Rossio or Santa Apolónia, for any of them the metro is very easy and very quick compared to Uber/Bolt, buses or Taxis. because they need to cross all Lisbon and there always traffic (even Traffic in Lisbon is nothing compared to Madrid or London).

    Since the metro is so practical it's worth choosing accommodations that are close to the stops.
    Then the metro can also be you primary for of transport.

    10:55 Thank you for your videos. Do you know if the Areobus is now operational or is it still suspended? My understanding from a different source is this is the ideal way to get to central Lisbon/hotel if you have luggage (normal sized suitcases). We plan on arriving March 23rd and will be 4 adults and 4 normal suitcases along with normal carry bag. In this case what's the best method to use? Thank you.

    Fantastic video, Tony! We are coming to Lisbon in November for a cruise back to USA. It is our first trip to Portugal, and we will have two days in Lisbon before our cruise leaves. We look forward to watching your other videos on the area! The only question is if we don't use all of the money that we put on the Zapping card, do we lose it?

    • @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal
      @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks Mark. Unfortunately, if you don't use up your zapping credit (and it's not easy to do it to the last cent), you lose it. In February we'll be publishing a video on Lisbon's cruise terminal. All the best!

      Hi, there is no train from the airport to Oriente, just the metro. You will take a metro to Oriente and then a train to Sintra. You'll have to buy tickets for both transports.

    Watching this again to remember. Can't wait for you to make more Lisbon videos. I'm wondering how hard it is to get to Sintra. We are thinking of staying at Arribas. Or is Sintra just a one day trip? Could we stay in Lisbon the whole time and just take transportation from our hotel there and head to Sintra? The hotel we are staying on our last day in Lisbon is in Belem. So I guess if Sintra is only a 1 day trip, we could do transportation into Sintra from Belem. Thank you so so much. These are so amazing and useful. You two are great!

      @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal  Před rokem +1

      Many thanks for your words, Melissa. We intend to publish a Lisbon/Portugal video every month. Most people see Sintra as a day trip, but it you have plenty of time, a night in Sintra might be great. It is very easy to get to the town of Sintra, but you might struggle if you stay far from town. Belém is not the best location for a stay in Lisbon, unless it's not your first time in the city. It is far from everywhere. All the best!
