Did you buy it at the exchange place at the airport ? Did it work well around the city?

@@adolfosierra9762 I also would like to know, because in the small print, at the end of the poster, it said that that price was for 6 months, so I figured it was a monthly plan.

Thank you, Tom. I'm flying from London to Lisbon this morning and will buy the 10 Euro SIM at the Money Exchange. Also, the tip about avoiding the ATM at the airport is very helpful. Cheers.

@@TravelTomTom Thanks Tom. I was unable to find the SIM card outlet that sold them for 10 Euros, but I was able to locate a Santander ATM in that area near the toilets that allows you to withdraw up to 200 Euros.

Great Video! Can anyone validate if the airport special "25Gb for Euro10" is still available in May 2024? (Lyca website shows 20Gb for Euro10)

I’ll be travelling to Portugal, and then on to Spain and Italy, and I have a few questions:
    1. Is Lyca a physical SIM card or eSIM?
    2. Can I use Lyca SIM in Spain and Italy too?
    3. Can I make/receive calls (for ride sharing conversations, in case the driver needs to call me)?
    Thank you.

Hi, from your other video in UK sims. Would you recommend to buy online 3mobile sim to be used in Portugal?
Meaning you can use data in portugal? But totally no incoming and outgoing calls /sms? Thanks

People should realize that if they use a major carrier like Verizon (in the US) and they are traveling abroad, they usually can get get international calling and data for much less than you'd probably pay getting a SIM card in a foreign country. For example, when I travel internationally, my plan has an optional $10 a day international calling plan that I can activate as needed and I get the same rates (data, talk and text) as I would get when I'm at home (which is good because it's unlimited data, although I don't know if that transfers over to all foreign countries, but I have found that it is a better deal than trying to buy a sim-card overseas. Of course the network speed may be the same since you often times use the same network but atl east it will help you keep your phone bill reasonable (for example, if I travel for a full month with interntional data turned on, the most I might pay would be $400 a month, but that's an extreme case and never had it active for that long, longest at one time was maybe 2 weeks, so about $140 total for 14 days).

I bought a 28-day esim from Orange France for 50€
      SIM includes :
      50GB in Europe in 5G/LTE
120 minutes of calls from Europe to worldwide
Unlimited calls and texts in Europe
1000 SMS from Europe to worldwide
Data tethering allowed and no usage limitation (videos, apps…)
I used it first for 4 days trip in London then I went back to Canada for a week. And then I went back to EU again and stayed at Lisbon for 2 days, Madrid for 2 days, and Barcelona for 2 days. Never had a problem with signal or anything.

@RonVan98 , we are landing at Lisbon airport so Orange France would not be much help at the airport , and at 50€ that is pricey for Portugal

    • @Mrronren1

@@markkozlowski6776 Orange France's esim works in all of EU and the UK. It just depends on how long you will be there and what kind of service/s you would need. In my case, I had to have the calling feature especially when booking restaurants without an online booking system. I also have to get the 50€ one because i needed it to last for 3 weeks at least.
I originally activated this esim in London then I went back to Canada for a week, and then went to Portugal and Spain for almost a week and a half. In my case, it was the best option. I hope you find what'll work best in your situation! 😃
