Whenever I ran a food route with a 48' trailer and someone did that, I had to slow down and be overly cautious.

6:00 sometimes when trying to maneuver a large vehicle into a tight spot in a congested area, you have no choice but to inconvenience other drivers. People like the cammer should learn to have grace for truck drivers in that situation.
That boulder was probably placed there intentionally, specifically to stop some idiots from wrecking the trailer.

I'm a truck driver and sometimes we have to back into a dock that is in a really bad place. Remember sometimes these roads were built before the stores. Have a little patience and humility for hard-working americans.

What a selfish guy! Whenever you see the financial district and a big truck trying to back in, give them like 30 ft of space! They have a job to do and unfortunately a good amount of loading docks face the street, or are adjacent to it in a way they have NO CHOICE but to pull around in the street and back in. That’s something they should teach in driving school as well.

People driving big moving trucks, and semis and such will sometimes need to block some lanes to get to where they need to go.. dont be an ass.

The cammer should have told us all how to get the truck into the business without blocking the lanes and backing up. Backing a trailer off of the road in a city was so much fun. Glad I no longer have to do it.
Crazy how 80% of these, even when cammer is not at fault, could be avoided if they were going slower and paying attention... and it baffles me how they'd rather honk and keep going when they could just... you know... brake ?
Agree 100%. Less horn pressing and more brake pressing could solve 50% of these issues.
Or a tap on the horn would suffice. I recently had a close call with someone in my blind spot. It would’ve 100% been my fault if we collided. Other driver tapped their horn to notify me they were there and I corrected my driving and gave an apology wave when they passed me. It happens…
People would rather be right and have thier cars wrecked ,then to just tap the breaks
@edubbs3528 yea, a lot of times cars like to drive in the others blind soot. I will NEVER if I can avoid it. It really baffles me the insane level of self entitlement people get when driving. Seems very few are courteous these days.
I suspect that cammers are acting like this because they want to produce internet content, even doing so puts themselves and others in danger.

Lorcan needs to slow down and pay more attention to road condition. A good set of winter rated tires would go a long way, too. Good thing you hit the boulder. It kept you from totally the house. Hopefully this is lesson learned.

You can download an app for your phone and stick it in the windshield. If you have a decent phone you will get a much nicer picture quality than with most dashcams.
I had been considering it, but what cinched it for me was one time I was going to get some takeout food and I saw a driver make a right turn from the left lane. As soon as I got home I went on Amazon and bought my camera.
It seems lying scumbags are everywhere. I have a Rove r2 4k. It has been bouncing around in my truck for three years with no issues. Clear picture, great at night and you can download the video to your phone if something happens.
The two trucks turning were fine, if that's the way in that's the way in, but they need a spotter/flagger to direct traffic for them.
And people can have a little more patience when there's a truck turning into a tight spot.
Coming from construction its always worrisome even with flagmen to back in vehicles while stopping traffic. Had 2 fatalities last year in our city alone thanks to impatient drivers.
Both trucks was there long before cammers came, so trucks had right of way.
With impatient drivers like this, a banksman in the road is idiotic and could lead to a fatality. If they have trouble stopping for a truck, they aren’t going to see a human.

I love when people expect after a collision that everyone should keep there movable vehicles in the middle of the road and block traffic. Then when someone slowly moves into a parking lot, they panic; "he's running away!."

The few seconds it takes to accommodate large delivery trucks making deliveries is a curtesy that we should give them. If we like to have the goods they bring, give them a break. Patience is truly a virtue.

I would rather a several ton vehicle be more careful than a flimsy bike. Be aware of your surroundings, So many people forget they're in a several ton death machine. Cars are made to protect passengers, bikes don't have that luxury. This applies to motorcycles and regular bicycles, although motorists do need to be more careful, they endup being at fault more than bicyclists. (idk if you were talking about motorcycles or bicycles lol)

Main thing truck did wrong, was not using his hazards. Those are very important doing a maneuver like this.
Probably would have been better for him to swing right a little more, before swinging left, so as to block all 3 lanes too.
