- In the first round of the 2018 Charles Schwab Challenge, Kevin Na disagrees with caddie Kenny Harms over what shot to play and takes a gutsy line over a hazard, then follows it up with an unbelievable chip-in for birdie on the par-4 9th hole at Colonial Country Club.

Caddy - "Lay it up."
Kevin - "Na."
Really....
😭
Clever lol
😂😂😂😂
POV: You’re here after watching Nelk’s interview with Bryson DeChambeau about how much he pays his caddie.
Was the last video i watched
Hahaha here iam a year later
Crazy
Buddy I’m here 2 years later
Ahhahah well done nice prediction
A 40 yard slice with a hybrid is my go-to shot, even off the tee. Don't see the big deal.
Lol same here
😂
That’s weak...I usually cut it 70-80 yds, especially on a dog left with water on the right.
I hit a 40 yard hook, put our swings together and we could top it straight!
This joke, or some variance of it, is literally the top comment on every golf video.
Caddie was still right. This is an outlier of a scenario.
Exactly.
@@daves9355 As much as i love the higlight and the ambition, I totally agree with you
And the caddie is just trying to get paid lol, Na has his sponsorships. But either way, what he says goes.
Loser talk
I don't think I've ever seen a caddie included in a post round interview with a player🤣
Best possible result. Player gets a good reminder about trusting the caddie's judgment. Caddie adds value to the team with good advice, and the team gets a birdie.
Sounds like a pair that’s been working together for 10 years.
If he was working for Tiger, he would have been fired after the first "No".
My pair has been working together for a long time. They have yet to fail me.
“5 iron huh? Well, you’re fired.”
i was looking for this comment.

@@anotherperson3886 me too we should be friends
@@brianbowles9239 count me in
About half a year later(?) Na would win a car and give the car to this very same caddie.
Thanks for that tidbit. He seems like a good guy.
I’m sure that more than made up for this moment of bickering
You can tell Kevin Na is a nice guy. He is well liked among tour players.
Are you serious?
@@Dylanbolton69 those 2 argue all the time
In some tournament, Kevin Na took a monster number on a par 4 where he basically ended up trapped in the woods with no options to leave. Now whenever I play with my Dad, if we think the other is about to make a bad strategic decision, we just say "Na". Inevitably this changes nothing, now we can say "I'm going with it" to make it more fun. The legend grows, love that guy, good times.
I love na he's hella cool
“Well I’m going with it Kenny”
“Yesir”
I enjoy the conversations between player and caddie
The caddie's input is definitely important, but at the end of the day, the one hitting the ball has the final say. If he says, "I disagree, I'm going for it", there's nothing to do but stand back and let him do it.
Caddie: "Then your gonna have to do a 40 yard cut!"
Kevin: "Na-yes"
thank god for grandstands
That's why he's the player. But the caddie was right
Kevin was lucky when he could drop a shot without penalty, the chip in for birdie was again another lucky break. With all the luck with him, am not surprised he might win the tournament 😆
You must be good to be lucky chipping them in!
Go for it.
Is tiger woods going to come back and play PGA Tour?
good honest friends
Wow. So cool
Caddie: You shouldn't use hybrid.
Kevin: Na
This wins today
Damn..
Good one
Ya gotta LOVE Kevin Na !!!!!!!!!!
Imagine if he walked in his chip
Yes!!!!!😂
2018?
Caddie: "He was right again; it was the right club."
Translation: "I was right, but it's not worth losing my job over."
Where can i get some of these grandstands??
I only carry a half-set so that I have room in the bag for a grandstand.
@@JeansWebbTv nice strategy. Carrying a full set is grandstanding anyways ;D
"you're fired" - Shooter McGavin
In this current world you would normally read a title saying golfer and caddie have real heated debate about club selection and golf shot and fall out!!. No in real life just too adults throwing in their opinions, disagreeing with one another but look at the outcome! Complete respect for each other and that's how it should be!.
“9 iron huh? Well, you’re fired. Bye bye”
-Shooter
He tried to Tin-Cup it and was wrong but saved by the grand stands for free relief.
Kevin Na the man who is all of the course
Surprised to see a drop at shoulder height, thought it was knee height by now
This was from 2018, as you can see in the title.
you're fired .
No wonder he takes so long to play shots on tour....LOL
It wasn't the right club, but it somehow worked out
Great video because it shows what can happen when player disagrees with caddie, who was actually right..but player gets the big check so he's always right. Not!
Very true but the players always right because he's paying the caddies salary, so he's the boss.
the risk falls with the player though, so at the end of the day regardless of what the caddie says, the golfer needs to be committed to what they believe the shot should be, that can be for better or worse but its part of the game.
I told you 🤣🤣🤣
Good choice Kevin na good choice
Never had a birdie until one day, after listening and obeying 100 pct to the caddy’s words.
Your fired, your boss is always right
That chip from the "rough" looked a lot easier than what they made it sound. That rough looks as short as some of the local muni fairways...😅!
A good lie and your looking at par or birdie from a good chipper!
Your fired Kenny
3:02
40yd cut 189 id be crackin a 5. No wonder he was long
see you havent been listening. Its and 190~ yard shot with a 40 yard cut to the right. You cannot hit that with a 5, especially carry one over the water. Only difference was that his "long" shot was actually the result of him not cutting it 40 yards. it went mostly straight to the left of the green and hit the stands. It was the right club.
you don't get relief from the grandstand unless the ball is up against the grandstand. The grandstand waa behind and right of the green...next to a pond...
How is he right If what you said as the caddie was actually right..you said it would go long it went long how is na right? What was na s argument anyway.
I thought you had to drop it from the height of the knee....
2018 mate
It was not the right club.
Extremely lucky there
I told you….. 🤪😆🤣😂
Na was wrong, and he didn’t even admit it. He got lucky with an unlikely chip in that is not characteristic of his normal play.
나는 케빈나를 사랑합니다
Bryson DeChambeau sent me here
Was not the right club. But hey, great chip
hi
Na wearing a mille.
Was this today
Na
Illegal drop. He dropped from shoulder height instead of knee height.
This is from 2018, the height drop rule changed in 2019.
Think before you post.
9 iron huh? Well your fired. Buh-bye.
lay ups are for basket ball
It wasn't the right club at all.. A lucky chip in is what it was..
Dumb logic is dumb
He dropped from shoulder height? I'm I missing something here or shouldn't that be a penalty?
This was from 2018 when the rule was from shoulder height
The rule changed… clearly haven’t been watching golf for a long time.
All these "pros" making a big deal out of 40 yard slices... pft
They should have a lesson with me
wrong and lucky
LOLOL
This clip has always irritated me beyond all get out just how Na says told you. Caddy's mad because it's going to affect his payday substantially if he misses and he did just that, he just missed in the one place he got relief. Thankfully his paycheck got better instead of 2 strokes worse. This is the equivalent of trying to talk your friend out of ramping his bike from jump to jump across a canyon because you know it's very improbably and then sure enough he does it and he misses, but he lands in the literal only spot where there's a trail that leads down to the canyon that neither of you knew about and he rides it up to the other side and then brags about it. Any other time that goes wrong but they did it on the 1 time it didn't. That's golf though.
@@aaronnorton486 yeah it’s a bad example, but the point stays. Na hit a terrible shot and then had an insane hole out.
isn't the new rule to drop the ball from knee height.
beat me to it..
This is from 2018
ROFLMBO
I dont like that caddie and his mouth or body language either.
ye but what if he fluffs the chip and gets a bogey,, caddy was right! even though he cant bite the hand that feeds him. Pro's sometimes imagine shots that are not there, this time he was lucky.water was only a few yards away. look at dechambeau's over the water shot, it worked but still got a bogey
The joyous bomber alternately bless because sampan metrically crawl from a abhorrent game. keen, exciting exclusive shallot
Caddy should look for another employer
"Told ya I was right" after blasting it over the green and having an improbable chip-in.
Haha literally exactly what the caddie was worried about
Seriously, Kevin’s unwarranted arrogance is annoying.
I like your thinking. The caddie still was correct.
@@ericjamesphotography he’s just joking with him relax 😂
