These tripping vibes and productions are like her “thing” and she knows how to do that beautifully. You should just take some time and check her previous albums too. My Gun, The Way That I am, Moments, Cool Girl, Vibes, Influence, True Disaster, disco tits, are u gonna tell her? are just some of her best songs and I’m sure after a listen she will be up there with your favorite musicians. ❤
I will say one thing about Tove Lo: Her singles never do her justice. Habits was cute, Cool girl was cute, etc. But the deeper cuts off of her albums just always give so much more. She has a lot of radio hits under her belt, but a majority of my favorite songs of hers are her deep cuts. I encourage you to go through her albums (whether they make the channel or just on your own time of course). Tove is a highly underrated artist that everyone knows at least one song from, but deserves so much more recognition tbh.
lady wood is a masterpiece for me there are no skips in that album

she has so many incredible pop songs but i think one of my favorites by her is "hey you got drugs?" which is the last track on her album Blue Lips. it's more of a ballad and if you like True Romance you might like that one too!!

THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO TOVE!!! One of my favourite artists ever! I respect your decision not to check her whole discography out but I do think that her upcoming album will be 100% worth it, because one thing I've learnt from being a Tove fan is that her deep cuts are just as good, if not better, than her singles and there are no skips in any album. And to think these four masterpieces were singles !!!

Tove Lo is by far my favourite female artist of the past decade, THE master of amazing, magical dancing-your-tears-away bangers! You absolutely must review her Lady Wood & Blue Lips albums! I'm almost envious of anyone discovering her discography for the first time - she'll kill you with the honesty, emotion & exquisite pain in her voice!

YESSSSS I’m soooo glad you decided to check these out. “True Romance” is also my fav so far, its so great, from the build, the lyrics, her vocals, just amazing. I know you said you’re not entirely interested in her previous albums, but I would still recommend at least listening to her last album “Sunshine Kitty” because it is a masterpiece. A few sexual innuendoes, but thats just Tove Lo 😂 Either way, I hope you find more songs of hers that you enjoy, because there’s a lot of good ones that already exist, and I know this new album will DELIVERRRR!! ❤️🔥
Up for my album of the year. She is a goddess with stellar vocals & up there with Lana & T Swift for me with the song writing. Love ALL her albums. Her & Lana are no skip artists. Blue Lips got me through some ruff times…..

I’m curious to know what songs you’ve checked out by her before? I think some of the more popular stuff (bar habits) is not always reflective of her albums. I do know her hedonistic lyrics can put some people off but that isn’t exclusively her music - Blue Lips is my favourite album by her and it was really ignored by her record label (barely any promo, no tour etc) vs Lady Wood, her most popular (?) album which is probably my least favourite and not reflective of her music imo was very pushed by the label from what I saw
habits is the only one i’m aware that i know but yeah, some of the album artwork & titles and whatnot - i do not feel comfortable covering in a video :)

Hey I'm so happy you reacted to Tove. She's a really special artist because she's just authentically herself. She writes all her music and even writes for other singers - "Cool" by Dua Lipa, "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding and others. Her music isn't necessarily groundbreaking but she consistently puts out solid pop songs that fit into her established aesthetic.
I'm taking a guess that her album titles might be scaring you off. It's funny - I would say less than half of her songs are sexual! Most of them are more about love and heartbreak. Even on her more sexual songs, the lyrics are largely tame. Some of Britney's lyrics that you've reacted to are more provocative. If you decide to check out any of her other albums, I'll just warn you that the "Blue Lips" album is the most provocative (and even then it's not much - most of the album is sad songs).
If you genuinely enjoyed these 4 tracks, you will enjoy the rest of her music! If these songs didn't really do it for you, then she's probably just not for you and that's okay too. Always appreciate your honest reactions and open mind, Beth! ❤

Tove lo is known for having unique production value. Her songs are literally the best. She's literally a lyrical queen with spectacular production value. Sadly, the whole world sleeps on her music because it's different from generic pop.

Update: Tove Lo is a very lovely, creative, passionate artist. “Talking Body”, “Cool Girl” and “Really Don’t Like You” (featuring Kylie Minogue, another queen) are 3 of my favorites from her. And yes, “True Romance” got me shedding a couple of tears too. And I can hear The Weeknd doing a remix on “How Long”. 😢🥹
