I think this was a perfect album for Charli to release and a great first listen for new fans it’s very clean and palatable compared to her hyper pop mixtapes and albums. So in a way it won’t scare new fans away from her discography it will draw them in and eventually they will discover her more intense stuff.
Yesss this album is so good! As a relatively new fan, at first I was a bit miffed that it wasn’t as experimental as Charli, Pop 2, or HIFN. But…. After I accepted CRASH for what it is, I realized that this album is actually incredible! It takes her experimental music and combines it with mainstream pop to form a whole new form of electro-pop.
Glad you liked the album - i'll admit, going into this album I wasn't expecting much (with the exception of Good Ones, I wasn't really vining with the other singles), but this album really surprised me and is probably my favourite Charli album.

This album for me is the best combination of 80s Synthpop/New Wave, 90s Funk/House/New Jack Swing and 2000s Dance-Pop/Electropop. This album and Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia are so far two of the best Pop Albums from the 2020s.

I think to understand Charli xcx more you should react to "Pop 2" by her. It’s one of my favorite musical projects of all time. I got into it bc of Artpop and I never went back to other music. A friend of mine said: "If you like Artpop, you’re gonna love Charli XCX's Pop 2" And they were right! It’s kind of soft hyperpop 😍
