  • amzn.to/3PABJ41 The WARWOOD TOOL Pulaski might be the ultimate outdoor tool for fighting wildfires, gardening & landscaping. The Forest Service specifications of a 3.75lb head on a 36" handle make this forged Made-in-America with USA-iron tools from a company founded in 1854 made this tool a obvious choice for me. No sponsorship here. Just proud to share a quality American tool for saving American woodlands from excessive fire. Named for Edward C. “Ed” Pulaski who popularized and standardized the tool, the events that led to so much of what we hold sacred with our Public Lands here in the US took place in my neck of the woods.

Very familiar with Warwood. They are made about 2 hrs from my house. Good company.

Where I'm at, I'm more worried about weather events than forest fire. I've spent my $100 on a little chainsaw, but I've always loved the Pulaski. I think it's important to have a tool or 2 just for environmental disasters, I'm just more set for living in tornado alley.

General Casmir Pulaski (revolutionary general) and Ed Pulaski (inventor of the pulaski tool) are different people

Good info. My neighbor works for Cal Fire and recommended The Big Burn a few years ago. Great read!

Our fire season has started in the higher deserts of AZ. Lots of rain over the winter. Been dry for months now. It's gonna be rough this year and next.

I'd have told you that was a mattock if you'd asked me!
Edit: seems you can't easily find a Pulaski on this side of the pond (probably why I'd not hear of it) but mattocks are ten a penny.

Would be interested in comparisons of the Warwood vs. Barco and Council when you start using this one.
