How Do You Setup a Tegu Cage?

Let’s setup a new tegu cage! In this video, we'll go over how I would setup a hatchling or juvenile tegu’s cage. Setting up a cage is one of my favourite parts of this hobby! Your creatively can go crazy and there are so many options of décor to put inside your Tegu enclosure. I would recommend a hatchling tegu to be put in a 40 gallon breeder tank to start off with. But don’t worry Tegus grow quite quickly so expanding your cage will be required. Soon your Tegu will need a custom cage! Another great thing about Tegus is that they are always curious so for mental stimulation you can change around their habitat! Something that most reptiles don’t like.
We will also cover topics like basking platforms, hides, substrate, and plants that you can use in your tegu cage! This video will cover a wide variety of reptile and tegu needs.
