This is a channel to help educate viewers on animals, from small to large we do it all! We do focus on reptiles mainly but we cover all different kinds of animals! By sharing information on all aspects of reptile keeping. We would also love to learn from other reptile experts to share their knowledge about keeping reptiles as pets.
Our focus is on animal conservation and education, so that everyone can learn a thing or two and possibly get involved with these wonderful creatures.
We provide all the details and the necessities of how to care for reptiles indoors and outdoors. We are located in an area where keeping reptiles outside isn’t an option, so they must be kept inside but still provided with the same environment they would experience outdoors. Keeping larger reptiles indoors requires a large amount of space. Not all of our viewers have the space to accommodate them so we would like to show what it is like to have them in your home!

What To Feed A Tegu! ( complete diet guide )
Hi Andrew, I have a question about what distance should be between uvb 10.0 bullb and basking zone for turtle. Thank you
Hi Andrew
Hello, lol
These are awesome lizards Andrew! I first worked with this species in 2017 when I was working at my friends facility (ours came from a breeder in Portugal before the laws came into effect on importing/exporting Aussie species). You'll have a lot of fun with them! They will eat ANYTHING and seem to have a wider palette than the Asian water dragons. Looking forward to seeing more!
They are pretty cool. shame about the law tho! Hopefully things can change surrounding that. Thanks for the comment Bro! You thinking about getting one?
@@andrewsreptileark not in the near future. if I got some I'd want to breed them, and to do that they need to hibernate (similar to tegus), so I'd wanna do an outdoor greenhouse of some sort so they could drop into the high 30's F to low 40's F and bury themselves then warm up to the summer period I have here in MN. For now I'll keep sticking with the Chinese water dragons and the new and upcoming sailfin dragons which I can cycle indoors via wet/dry seasons and appropriate food cycling.

Aww what a cutie
Think that would be my dream enclosure
Quick question going back to the heat lamps. I'm a newbie here so forgive the novice question. But if they're using hides to sleep and escape the heat then why would you keep them on at night when they would normally come out? Wouldn't it be the same temp?
Hi
Hi
I don’t have a waterfall idea but I’m planning on getting a waterfall idea
I have a turtle and she’s bigger than yours
Hmm... i can't add the mice into my cwd diet… and calcium powder too. How do i find calcium source from what insect?
That tank isn’t right for a Chinese water dragon. The ground cover is perfect although you need a bigger water enclosure but the main reason i said it isn’t right is because they are arboreal so it needs more hight so I would just open up the top of that tank and put whatever is in it in a new tank
Tudom hogy régi a video , de baba tegut is lehet csirke szivvel etetni?
Yes they can be fed chicken hearts, it will make em grow quick!
@@andrewsreptileark Köszönöm szépen! Thank you!
He looks so happy 😊
I Enjoyed This Video And The Enclosures Are Very Nice Looking
How many times im feeding chinken meat, everyday ? Or every other day? How many grams of chicken meat i will feed ? My Tegus now weight 7.4 kilos Please REPLY for my guide, im.from philippines. THANKS A LOT
Thank you very much for the video! I'm working on trying to develop that top tier bond with my rescued Boyds Forest Dragon. We are quite comfortable with one another, but he still can get quite jumpy and sometimes even irritable. This video was very helpful
I’m working with a young tegu. 2 weeks ago he was trying to bite me, hissing and puffing up, etc… Now he comes up and flicks me and wanders off. I got to pet him for a few minutes the other day. He enjoyed it and then seemed to resent that he enjoyed it. I tame based on respect and patience. It’s nice seeing someone who isn’t forcing it through constant handling. One rule I have is if they’re in the hide I leave them alone. The hide is sacred.
Where you get him from ??
Hey, can I use UV led that came with my tempered glass for mobile for my turtle???
Can you make another video about this? And can you show how you have it connected to power and do you have a humidity gauge that turns it on and off?
Do you have a link to the one you got ?
👍
Not trying to hate or act like I'm smarter than you but if that's it's permanent enclosure it'll probably die if that turtle dock is the only land
I would agree, but if you watch his full video on our channel, you can see his full set up. he has tons of land to explore!😀
@andrewsreptileark okay sorry I just know alot abt reptiles and I was js saying
hey i cant find the controller on amazon can you tell me the name
Que bonito o bonita ❤🫶🏻🦋🇦🇷
Love the cage design. Love water dragons. I have one of my own. Super sweet. As mine is a female
Tips for food association, Those reflective blue road sticks, have him tap or bite it then feed, have a shield covering your hand from sight as well. Adding sounds works well, I dont like taping because many people also do that to get their attention (wrong association) Haze him!!!! Tooth brush pettings, holding with your hands, bug em, touch em, the more the better (hour a day)
He looks so cute. :D
You got a sub from me after this setup brotha🤪🤙🏾
I have Chinese water dragon eggs that haven’t hatch yet and it’s day 81 and I candled them there moving and everything any advice
You need to be patient and wait, unfortunately. Probably after 90 days they will hatch! Keep me posted!
Ok ty I guess I have to wait and thanks for responding and I will post when they hatch
Ok one has hatch so I got small crickets in there and he’s not eating any how to go about feeding him
@@cochisesmith8541 Put them in small plastic dish. it might not eat in front of you at first. if you require more ideas, I put out a video a while ago of our nursery setup. please watch that one!
The turtle at 3:14 is a male 😊
So I’m understanding night time I don’t need any lighting
Thank you. I have been in dyer need of getting my gecko a new living space. If you make a new or change a tank please show a video or even recommend videos to show how to set the tank up. I have never used sand and a friend of mine used it and her gecko passed away. My gecko has been on carpet for a very long time and I want him to be able to dig and enjoy his space. Thank you!!!
One thing I will say about heat bulb versus heat pads. If you only have a heat mat, you will not be able to heat up the whole tank so the ambient temperature will always be low so your gecko will only stay on the mat.
Do you think this would work outdoors?
So cute! 🥰
What hapens to the tip of his tail
Rex is so cool
Im your biggest fan

Hey what kind of circulator are you using for your pond?
The enclosure is really ugly but the lizard is very beautiful
Do you think that would help feed chinese water dragons bc my one doesnt eat to well we mainly give him locus and the occasional pinki he is about 1 years old and we started feeding him every other day so do you think it would help?
OMG he/She is so green compared to mine
Would be so appreciated if you could share links to some good filtration systems, light bulbs, tanks, etc. Your videos are very educational.
Where did you got the tank from? My sliders have outgrown their tank 3 times in 4 years 😩 I would to see more about your entire setup.
Caimans aren't Crocodiles, They're actually the only other member of the Alligoritade Family besides the Alligator in fact the common translation of Caiman (Southern American Natives tounge) to the American language is "Small Alligator/Alligator" the Native Americans from South America will tell You that Caimans are 3× as dangerous then a Crocodile.
Naw Crocs are a whole different level caimans are flighty and agile but power definitely goes to Crocs
Black kaiman’s tho Very powerful and not scared of humans at all
My chinese water dragon has got really sharp claws
