- In this tutorial I show how I re-purpose and decorate envelopes laying around the house for your journals. I've used two of the ArtyMAZE Iris & Flowers digi kits, these are absolutely gorgeous Kits filled with iris images, my favourite flower! Thanks so much Andrea!

Just found this jewel of a video! Love this. Your style, while universal among many, is uniquely your own. Love it. Making this tomorrow as a gift for a friend leaving her position on a job. Thank you for your inspiration, dear Wendy. There is just one thing missing. Sweet Leo. ❤😘🐱

So happy to hear you are feeling better! I 😺🌻 You are just so creative. I really like the darker thread. I just did a journal and used a darker color myself. I think the contrast just makes it pop.

I love your videos because you usually use things that we all have laying around and turn them into something that would work with a vintage aesthetic. These envelopes are gorgeous!! I love how you made them look so different! Thank you so much for sharing!

These are just great, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing,.
I love watching your videos. Your pieces and your tutorials are inspiring and so helpful, and your voice so calming. Thank you!
I do have a tip to share: sewing machines work best if the needle is changed fairly frequently. The needles become blunt and develop burrs which cause holes, thread nests, and throw the machine’s timing off. I have learned the hard way that needles cost much less than repairs (or a new machine) and a scolding by a sewing machine repairman.
Goodness do I ever sound preachy! Not meaning to at all. Just wanting to save you from some of the trials I’ve run into with my machine. Happy sewing!
Love this Wendy
What a wonderful idea, I love these! Irises are my fav...just gorgeous! Thank you Wendy! Many blessings, Christina~

Thank you, Wendy for this inspiration! It is timely for me because just this morning I got one of those envelopes that the bank uses to put money in when they cash checks. I looked at it and thought there must be a good use for it! And, lo ... I came home and here's your video!!! 😊💕
Lovely! Love how you repurposed the project life cards.
Beautiful 💓 great idea with the envelope! What a gorgeous kit too. 🙌🏼
Beautiful! I’m looking forward to trying this!
I am glad you are feeling better. I love your envelope idea and plan on trying it. TFS
I loves 💜💛 irises. They are my favorite flower. I bought some project life cards at Tuesday Mornings after you showed me what to use them for. I just got them so I haven’t had a chance to play with them yet. They will be the perfect sizes and just the right amount of stability. Thank you for sharing how to use them. Never heard of them until watching you.
Love all your tips. Happy Week!
Thanks again Wendy for a great tutorial. I love to find old kids games with missing pieces and use up the playing cards that come with the games. HeadBandz has great size cards for repurposing. Looking forward to more great ideas!
Oh Wendy, I knew you would love arty maze’s iris kit as soon as I saw on jjj that she’d had it for sale in her shop.
Thankyou for this fabulous tutorial!!!! I’m going to have a go at this!!! 😊
Thanks for the tutorial. You've answered a couple of questions, I've had. Have a great Sunday. Hugs and Blessings
Thank you so much Wendy I really love 💕 those....beautiful and stunning......xx Mags
Yay!!! A tutorial instead of a haul, swap or challenge. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of those, but I really love tutorials. I hope to be able to do them on my brand new channel. I just need to figure out a way to hang my camera overhead. The heat hasn't bothered me too much because I'm able to stay inside. But I hate it for those who don't have air conditioning and the people that you have mentioned. Thank you again for doing this tutorial.
Beautiful as always, my friend.
My world in okc thanks Tammy❤️
Great job Wendy they look beautiful... Regards Susanna
Beautiful ArtyMAZE paper with your lovely envelope what does the crafting world need more! Your tutorials are the best Wendy. I got a new kitchen on Monday and it didn't work out as it should and now I have to wait for weeks to get new delivery (pieces missing and the working table piece was broken). But in between will make some videos (one is just loading) and watch a few of your great ones. It's raining in Germany after a long sunny period. Flowers love this whether!
Love the kit and you created something beautiful as always my lovely friend xx
Tracie Fox LoveJunk Journals thank you Tracie! You’re such a sweetheart ❤️❤️
Hi Wendy n Leo 😍
Beautiful uscaled envelope 😘
I like the darker thread it gives it a nice aged look!
As for vacation I just returned from ancestral lands at Chaco and Walnut canyon National Park, plus vla visit to the Petrified Forest NP and a privately owned Meteor Crater!
Last weekend I went hiking with two of my sister s and brother at my home place the Sierra Nevada Mountains at Devils Postpile NP and Tyree Trail John Muir wilderness. Plus spent a night camping at a natural Hot spring Olympic sized pool Keoughs Hot Spring near my home town 😍
Lots more going on ... family reunion, visit with daughter and family in Ohio and spending lots of time with hubby 😍
Crafting will be in the backdrop for a few weeks LoL
Love all your inspiring JJ works😍😎
Love this. I just bought myself one of the retired tab punches. I absolutely love it and I've been watching for a "deal" on one for awhile. I found mine on eBay also and it was on like a 10 day bid starting at $20 or buy it now for $32 including shipping! (US shipping) so I of course bought it now and feel great that I got my very wanted tab punch and a "deal"!
It’s lovely Wendy. I made some last week (video on my You Tube channel). I decorated one of ARTYmaze’s envelopes from her Jane Austin kit and added one of the journalling cards to the inside.
Love your ideas thank you for sharing Hugs Bonnie
Beautiful , fun video to watch. Hugs Laurie
Beautiful! I have had two daughters sell Stampin' Up at different times but while they still sold the Round Tab punch and they told each other how wonderful it was, their paper addict mom never heard or noticed it until it was discontinued! One of them actually found on eBay and got it for me!!! I have a pad of cardstock that has old glossy coated photos and they make the most marvelous tabs!
Kathleen Roush oh that’s awesome! It really is the best punch! Big hugs ❤️
❤❤❤❤
Love this idea!!!!! What is a project life card?
Hi Wendy, thank you for this tutorial, love this paper from the kit. I didn't realize you're from Canada until this video, I'm from Northeastern Ontario, a small town near North Bay, where are you at ? .....tfs
I am wondering how these will go in journal. I absolutely love your videos and your relaxing voice.
Joan Macleod thanks Joan! I would put the flap of the envelope over the outside edge of a journal page and clip it in. That way the tag would be on the outside of the page. ❤️
Wendy's Journal Adventure Thank you, Wendy. Stay cool. Today is hot and muggy here in Moncton, N.B.
I love your videos!! Do you add trifolds, pockets, tucks and such after you see in signatures?
I use the same thread on everything....dark. like it. Very clever. Pat
What is a 'project life card' ?
Wendy I love your channel Do you have a Facebook group after the first I'm afraid of loosing your channel just wanted a way to keep watching your videos
One would think that someone would remake the whale tail punch again since they seem to be in demand.
👍👏👏👏
Beautiful as always!! Do you happen to know what size needle you have in your machine. I don’t I think I’ve changed my needle twice in the 30 years I’ve had my machine. I did a test piece and it left big holes in my opinion. Also what are these project life cards so many people speak of and have an abundance of? Are they worth getting? I’ve never seen them in the store.
Hi Wendy, so did you say in a previous video that you use art glitter glue with paper and card because it doesn’t warp the pages and isn’t ‘wet’?
I was trying to find the two journals you made from this kit ( someone was asking ) it seems to have disappeared or I’m blind lol x
What kind of sewing machine do you have Wendy? I’m gonna buy me a new one and just curious what everyone uses
Is that a LED light in your machine? Mine has the old light that generates too much heat . . . 😂 in summer
Witch kit did you use Wendy? I couln’t hear it.... Irish digikit?
What is sorry silk? Thanks love all your tutorials
Sari silk is a strip of silk torn from an old Sari (piece of Indian clothing)
What are project life tags? 😏
Ir's very dark in here Wendy.
