It’s actually a more extreme version of the real life cryptid in terms of aggression. Yes, that’s the part that rules out the possibility of misidentifying whale sharks, because those don’t attack anyone.

@@glickflock No it was just a joke. When a movie is greenlit that means a studio agrees to finance and make the movie. My joke was that the scariest part of this movie was the fact that someone agreed to make it to begin with

I believe filmmaker use the meg (2018) big or small megalodon to redesign into the black demon shark.
If you some real shark terror, watch rhe original Deep Blue Sea...it gets the job done right.

I’d have probably been a bit miffed if I’d payed to see this in a theater, but a way to pass an hour and a half on streaming it was alright. Not as bad as Jaws 4 and not nearly as bad as these reviews seem to try to make it. It certainly isn’t the worst film ever made.
It’s a good bet that a lot of these people don’t like this film for a whole other reason, and it’s not the dialog, or the fact that they don’t show the shark every 10 minutes.

Sort of but this is obviously a B-segment Meg that hardly show up to the surface nor a close-up shot because it is a pure CGI.

@@theprinceoftides6836 thanks but i'm not born yesterday, money or not this movie is terrible and Lucas character is terrible (not Josh fault) coming more money if you join much more deserving productions, if you join producions like this your carreer go 47 meters down.
I like Josh, Poseidon, Stealth, Hulk, it's sad see it in a movie like this.
