I'm okay with them cancelling ARK 2. Didn't feel like it was going to be similar enough anyway. Happy about the upgraded graphics/gameplay in ASA. Updates/upgrades to ASA could be a better route.
You people who keep saying this literally misunderstood the devs. Souls combat means blocking rolling staggers, actual combat, not just mashing RT with a 2ft 3 inch character… i still cant believe people dont understand this and rather believe ark2 is a souls game. Single player, hard… no thats not what they said.

@@TheBoxingGOD in one of the community crunches leading up to ASA, they mentioned Ark 2 and called it “a dark souls like adventure”. That’s more than just rolling and blocking.

snail games are game builders on the cheap, appropriating assets from older games, most coming from ark, but other older games too. for them to try building on a new game engine was always going to be an uphill battle, either they buy a coding company that can actually build a game from scratch,finance wild card more effectively or someone else who can, buys out snail games. none of which look likely, best case scenario is someone else buys out the ip. i feel the snail games company will just cut their losses and concentrate on ark for the now, like you said and maybe try later if their finances improve somewhat.
The last screenshot with Ark2 in it is probably just to calm the community down after they clearly had no intention in making it. I mean it suppose to be the big hit and making millions of dollars and not even mentioning it and now putting a troll roadmap with ark2 in it LOL..... Anything WC or Snail say can not be taken seriously to begin with.
I actually think I got duped....I saw it and could of sworn it was from Ced...but I think it was actually from Ark News which is not wildcard. Whoops....
Well 8 years of content and still didnt fix glitches and just add mods that creators made in ASE to ASA. I think they milking this revamp of ASE to play with players money. Most players already playing other games after ASA has release. They already have expansions data and they just need to update graphics. So why resell a game that has everything for the same price and delay expansions when they already have it in the system. They should of updated graphics from beginning since it been 8 years. I bought cuz i thought it would be better. But it same game with creator's mods and updated graphics. Now they releasing other expansions for the same price as released years ago.
@@premtgboy56 you misunderstand how they did it. They admitted it will be buggy as they used the unpatched original code from ark and rebuilt that in unreal 5 the updates will be added over time thats all im saying
@@premtgboy56 and no the dlcs came with ascended the only dlc youll have to pay for is the 2 new maps and extra content like dynamite and things. Stay up on your ark info i promise there is more to it
I think that they've made a decision, to once again, milk the sh...out of the "first ARK" and focus on ASE maps to enhance them to UE5, instead of working on ARK2. This is gonna be like... payed engine beta test for ARK2 😅😂

I've been playing this game almost from the beginning and with how wildcard does thing they will definitely do ark 2 but it will be a while coming

I agree....and I don't think its necessarily bad they concentrate on ASA and hold off on Ark 2.
They could literally update Asa with ark 2 updates changing the game slowly over time
Asa is built on the engine they wanted to use on ark2 so asap is the revamp

That was always kind of the plan....However, I still question whether the game ever happens, or if it just ends up being turned into updates and DLC.
Any of these dlc going to be in time all going to have delay
