Hehehe... Saw my video pop up in your video...
I have a few concerns... look at the state of Multiplayer in No Man's Sky...
And Hello Games is sort of placing Multiplayer as the core of Light No Fire ???
    Very worried... for Multiplayer...
The trailer for LNF shows a few flashes of vast vista's of landscape that look empty...
For decent worlds you need something of interest that you can reach within 4mins...
In a world sized game I don't know how Hello Games will accomplish that...
    I shared your concern...
I am waiting for some more trailers and news before I air these two concerns.
But VERY valid right now for sure.
    Great Video...

LOL!!! I am honored you stopped by to watch!!!! I have a few more concerns as well that I am holding off on, around true RPG elements that we have not seen from Hello Games.

2 memorable moments comes to mind as like my best moments when I explored. 1. is in Spore. where I found a planet near me and my allys and I would help them evolve. Only once they evolved to space stage themselves they were hostile with me....And I just kinda....destroyed their planet out of spite....2 was Ark with Ragnarok map. I didn't look up much on the map but I remember going through the Ice Cave for the first time and after the Worm Queen There was this area with eggs and a dead Giga. That was so cool and felt like I was playing a whole other game cause...I had my Tek suit at the time.

@@Nerdboy81 Good news! With Friday bringing Palworld looks like I won't have to wait long for a new game to sink my hours in like Ark Evolved did. Been playing the game for 7 years so nice to finally have a new game on the horizon to play. I will miss Ark but maybe by the time I'm done with Palworld ASA monpoly will expire or Light No Fire drops. My money will be on Light No Fire Dropping before I get back into Ark again. I wish you survival on you Ark journey!

I think that by " youre not the hero " they mean something along the lines of - youre not the dragonborne or youre not saving the planet, youre not the chosen one

True....I am curious how much of an impact that will have or will not in the gameplay loop.

i do play NMS almost every day in VR and still enjoying it. Nevertheless, i totally agree in terms of exploration. Although i sometimes find myself walking around on a planet for an hour to just enjoy the scenery, i do miss very rare things to find. Missions or rewards you only can get on very specific planets or even galaxies. I want to be motivated to get to an empty galaxy and try to find very special rewards. And those rewards could indeed be unique ship items or maybe custom freigher parts. There could be a procedurely generated mission to get a freigher galaxy warp item, with which you can reach any of the 255 galaxies one time per item.
And i also hope that exploration is better in Light No Fire, but I honestly think it will be too similar to NMS. It will probably still be a great game though.

This may be another great VR experience. I do explore the planets, usually looking for the next great picture. LOL

I really love your commentary! I think you are spot on, and this is a concern I have. I want to be a hero! I’m curious what they have in mind for the day-to-day gameplay loop. This reminds me of something I call the “Shiny Pokémon Theorem”. I always felt one of the wonders that made Pokémon so repayable, was the 1/5028 (I think that was original odds anyway) chance of a random wild Pokémon being, SHINY! This made EVERY SINGLE ENCOUNTER feel waaaaay more worthwhile because there was always that little chance it could be your first shiny or what have you. I hope there are some TRULY RARE things to find, search for, collect, share, and form communities over. Thanks again! 😊

I am very excitedf fro Light No Fire and I like your comments and concerns about Light No Fire. I hope Hello Games makes exploring in Light No Fire rewarding. for example you find a secret cave or tunnel and you get rewarded for a secret item that you can only find in the cave while avoiding traps and fighting enemies

In any MMO, "Content is King". You can have the largest game map in the industry, but if that map is void of meaningful content, the game is a failure. That is what happened in No Man's Sky, will it be repeated in Light no Fire?

It won’t be good if they add sentinels like No Mans Sky. Completely ruins the game for me. I don’t play games like this to experience combat. Let me explore.

      @Nerdboy81  Před 7 měsíci

I am not sure what type of enemies there will be so far all we have seen is fighting a crab like thing.....If it is traditionally fantasy, I can't see them adding sentinels.

Putting too much faith on 'exploration'. A game with little to do but roam a procedural generated world with no challenge is bound to fail.

it was mentioned some time ago that no mans sky ship upgradeing/customization was something they were thinking of adding at some point. i too would welcome this addition, and my ideas have made me ponder how and what to do in that scenario, like maybe finding a new ship but only be allowed to take something from it not jump in, fix and fly away with it. more a choice of what you want to remove from it, say the chassis to make a new ship or different parts such as structure shape, wing attachments, fuel expansions, cockpit (for how you want to see when flying) and like you say colour options. as for the rpg they are contemplating, i said it in your last vid, i hope they have fresh new ideas on a new ip and not just a rehashing of nms game engine that has just added story element. my favourite rpg of all time was fallout new vegas with fallout 3 a close second, skyrim was an awsome game too as was oblivion elder scrolls 4 for its day. i can even concede fallout 4 did enough to make it enjoyable and worthy of exploration even though it's main story line was a bit flat overall. the side quests did actually make up for and more in that respect to make it playable for many many hours (just shy of 2000 hours lol) and what these had was a background lore you had to search for to expand upon the main story elements whether they were needed or just fleshing out of overall content knowledge and experiences. this with good gaming mechanics make for good rpg's in my opinion and its why (for me) diablo and baldurs gate falls a bit flat and repetitive as they lack that type of element and they are, in the end, just spoon fed stories and exploration is just a means to upgrade your stuff. they are not terrible games but the format means it doesn't matter which you pick, they don't differ much over all. i also agree with the starfield comment, that for me was also a massive dissappointment for the very reasons you gave. looked pretty and had some good bits here and there but alas overall just didn't immerse me to it's envirnments. (damn my 10 cents do seem to get heavy lol) good vid, maybe too good considering how it gets me to rant on so 😏
