Ark Survival Ascended - The Center - First Impression

- They did it!!! They finally did it!!! A new map launched mostly on time! I spent a few hours on my xbox series X getting my first impression of the new Map for ASA!

Appreciate the shout out bro! Yeah, those floating rocks have been an issue since day one on ASA and I cannot tell you how many times I have had an Argy get their wings or feet meshed into them when I got too close....very annoying. Great video!

The floating rocks can be fixed in your settings. HOWEVER, most people have to use the low settings because you need a NASA pc to run it on higher settings.
I was doing ok playing Island on high settings... After about 2 hours on the Center, my graphics went bonkers and started doing this weird graphical glitch where it quartered the screen when i looked at the water. I ultimately ended up having to drop all the way to low settings to get rid of it smh.
Right now, I play only because I have been a LONG time player, but the disappointments just continue to roll in.
I absolutely refuse to spend a penny on their micro-transactions or any of the premium stuff.
I paid for the game once, and they will NOT get more money from me.

I can barely manage above floating rock settings with a 3060 but god i need something better so badly
I am playing on Xbox so I am not sure we can fix the rocks, I don't think there is any settings to change at all inside performance on xbox.

For PVP multiplayer, this map is a godsend and brings back a large portion of the community. For a solo, its nothing really that interesting. Good luck on your quest. Don't take it too seriously if you get raided, it happens to everyone.

@@Nerdboy81 Have fun, it's a totally different world which can be very harsh. If you go ahead, check out 'ratholes' on each map, many youtubers do rathole videos where you can hide, but beds spawns are a little strange atm so you can only spawn in some of them. They are still far stronger than living out in the open. Also check out how to defend your base properly with turrets. Enjoy!

Yea I agree. Don’t think rocks are supposed to float. Also not crazy about the way they released the new Dino. If it was a premium mod I’d be ok with it. But they put it in the map but only people that pay can get it. They are approaching a pay to win model that I don’t like. What’s to say they won’t start charging per Dino or say now to tame rexes you have to buy the saddle or here buy this ascendant blue print that you can’t get unless bought….
The Pyromane is not ideal.....They keep circling the microtransactions and pay to win drain!
Do you have any interest in playing The Forest and Sons of the Forest games? They are my favorite right behind Ark and I think you'd really enjoy both and would love to see your playthroughs of them.

Okay there is alot of stuff they haven't been able to fix, but they have fixed a lot of other things.
That is true and they do deserve some credit for that obviously!

There's still no other game on xbox that allows 70 players all doing stuff on the same server building/fighting at the same time. I've always wondered if this is why it takes them longer than most to bring in new updates.
ARK will never look like RDR2, Rockstar are arguably the best gaming company in the world. Also ARK servers handle 70 people, thats what causes all the lack of detail, and why there's no other games out there that have this.
I've always said if rockstar or EA created a game like ARK, allowing building/fighting in 70+ servers., ark would die out. Odd that Rust and ARK are still the only true multiplayer experiences on console.

The Center is probably the most boring map. None of my ark friends are excited to play it. There's really nothing new here. This map really needed some new content to create some excitement around it. Otherwise, major Yawn. Once Ragnarok, Abb, Extinction releases, then we should be cooking
been playing it the last couple of days the maps is absolutely amazing to me. Maybe my favorite map now.
I look forward to getting more time on the map! This is only the thrid map I have played!
@@Nerdboy81 if you are interested in another Mod map like Center may I suggest TaeniaStella. It is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, the most unique map in my opinion. Plus its full of extremely different creatures...if you are looking for something different and still want to play Ark i highly suggest the TaeniaStella map, it'll blow your mind! ❤
