      Thanking you for your service. My GREAT grandfather lied about his age and enlisted at 15 to the army and lost his leg in The Great War. He was a kind, generous gentleman, all the local community adored him and shopkeepers accepted his messages so I could pick up his Woodbines and Guinness on my way home from school for him.

      What's this got to do with our leaders?
      The problem is the parents, they drag their kids up not bring them up. They open the front door and send them out to play outside, have no idea what they are doing, who they are with, what they are carrying, it's shocking, my view is parents should be held equally responsible for there children's doings until they are 18, kid stabs someone, parents should be arrested also for parental neglect, the parents should know where there kids are and what they are doing

      Teach them about god. We are in the last days now
      Psalm 78 vs 6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
      7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
      8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

    This happened in Horsforth, it’s a leafy lane area where our amazing Brownlee brothers are from and the boy had gone to pick a younger one up from the primary school according to local reports. I visited there just weeks ago as an author. I’m from Leeds and an ex teacher. Schools scared to seriously deal with behaviour. The children are being let down. Deepest condolences to the family, the school and community who will be shocked and heartbroken at this tragedy.

      @@1newme425 the primary is a gorgeous school with lovely children and horsforth is and always has been a lovely place, fab University and a solidly good area so this is a shock. But I’ve taught in many challenging areas. It all starts in the home with parents. Teachers are crippled by a system that is against them in every way. Teachers are leaving in their thousands and there’s a staffing crisis due to insane pressure and massive underfunding.

      You should hear the horror stories from the correctional schools from my friends teaching in London. To be honest, most have left the profession. I don't blame them. Sadly though, a lot of people are missing a key point. The poor boy was not in school. The headmaster at Horsforth referred to him as a formal pupil, not current. Why wasn't this 15 year old in schooling? 15 year olds are in the middle of their GCSEs, so should he have been. Teenagers need guidance, support and a basic education to discover who they are and what their life's purpose is. This lad was clearly failed across the board. Life is sacred. Britain is in such a sorry state and it's only getting worse. If I hear of one more MPs office getting a re-fit, I'll hit the roof. The English Govt. should have followed Scotland's blueprint on this matter which massively reduced violence and knife crime in the 90s. It's a choice not to.

      @@1newme425 360 cameras in every class room to protect both teacher and students. If a student is being a dick and attacking anyone the teacher should have the power to restrain and remove that child with reasonable force. The cameras will then be used as evidence to both protect the teacher/student and prosecute the teacher/student depending on who was in the wrong.
      How hard is it to have 2 cameras installed in each classroom to cover all in that room. This works for both students and teachers and any parent that comes in saying "X hit my child" can be shown the CCTV proving their child was attacking someone and the police be informed to prosecute the attack.
      Anyone under 18 has their criminal record hidden from employers unless serious enough to warrant 12+ months prison time. If any child is sent to prison they still have to do school work regardless so it's not like a child spending a few months in prison is a bad thing. Might be a wake up call for most. If not then bring back mandatory military service. It dosn't have to be guns and war service but marching band, local reserves etc... or be sent around to do community service like bench painting, litter picking etc... all while being woke up at 6am and sent to bed at 6pm.
      I'd much prefer my taxes go to covering mandatory lets say civil service for children 14-21.

      It's deeply sad that that is happening to early teens in this day and age but there are two schools in that small town, the local comp that the headmaster said he was a former pupil of and a catholic school, which hasn't said he was enrolled there so all I'm saying it that 15 year old boys need guidance and a basic education to get on in life. He was not in school during school hours so why not? Too many teenagers slipping through the net. The teens involved will all know each other. They're too young to be acting like this. Wasted youth. • @HitchcockTheSnail
      @HitchcockTheSnail Před 8 měsíci

      I didn't say it was the school's fault. Far from it. I'm an ex-teacher. I understand the education system, it's rotten and has been for a while hence the 'ex'. However, the state does have a role to play in this. It is illegal for children to not be in school until after their GCSEs. When boys (it's mostly boys) are excluded, there is nothing set up to properly integrate them into society or back into education. They're left adrift and I can tell you, from what I can see, it's only going to get worse. The stories I hear from friends who teach in correctional schools in the capital tells me we're headed in a bad direction and sad stories such as this are only going to happen more. Scotland did a brilliant job massively reducing violence and knife crime in the 90s and offered to share their blueprint with the English authorities but England wouldn't. I'm guessing no English govt. would want to spend our taxes on bettering the lives of those that need it the most. If I read of one more MP's office being re-decorated, I'll hit the roof. My point was that the lad should have been in school doing his GCSEs but wasn't so something had obviously gone wrong. Unless it transpires this was an unprovoked attack then we're into different territory. Life is scared. Children are our collective future. There is fault here, and it's multi-pronged @@Microwayev

    This is what happens when a nation turns its back on God!
    In 1904/05 Wales was called 'The Land of the White Gloves' why? Because there was a revival, many turned to God through Jesus Christ and in the court rooms at the time, if a judge has no cases to preside over, he would put on white gloves. During the revival there were hardly any crimes being committed!
    These days there are crimes being committed all the time because the nation has forsaken God's Law and kids are taught we evolved from nothing and life is worthless!
