    Cost over one hundred thousand dollars when we get the same response as in a written script that's heard over and over again from so many different police stations across America on murdering citizens by police, there was no wrong doing, acted per policy. Investigated by a former policeman. It's the Same OL' Same OL'. "After further investigation WE have found that WE have acted per policy". Then the "investigator" goes back to Austin with a big paycheck in his pocket. What would have happened to the NAZI war criminals during the Nuremberg trials after WWII if the prosecutor was a former NAZI? Same conclusion. These were GLASS COWARDS. Back in the pilgrims day wrong doers were branded with a scarlet letter. These COWARDS need the same thing, except an iron brand that brands across the forehead COWARD and on the left cheek at an angle UVALDE and on the right cheek at an angle again COWARD. My heart goes out to the families that lost loved ones and the whole town of Uvalde to have their town name forever equated with the word COWARD. Just Sayin'.

      At law enforcement training academies they typically say "Be sure you go home at the end of your shift." • @nsnopper
      @nsnopper Před 2 měsíci

      I gave a thumbs up, but in fact I only skimmed the report. Here is my rudimentary take. I noted the word “Exonerated”, used to . . . well, exonerate every one of the officers interviewed. Some exonerations I agreed with. Det. Hoshi Cantu went above and beyond, as she was in later stages of pregnancy, yet actively played a role, albeit off school grounds and not in danger. As for the rest, that was the opinion of one man, Jesse Prado. The recommendations, found in Appendix A, comprise the usual menu of solutions that are always presented to deflect accountability: more training, more and better equipment, better communication and coordination, etc al. Placing blame on distraught parents for “interfering” was either a nice touch to support the exonerations, or a craven tactic to deflect blame, depending on your point of view. Although, given that the small army assembled failed to breach the classroom door for almost 1-1/2 hours, one could say the parents were only interfering with police inactivity. But, departing from the report, the time to have prevented the massacre was in the first several seconds. The unlocked door through which the shooter entered was the critical fail point. Had that door had a working, secure lock, it could have delayed the shooter long enough to secure class room doors, or for an armed SRO, who was seconds behind the shooter, to terminate the threat.

    • @sydtopia1
      @sydtopia1 Před 2 měsíci

      @@nsnopper The door was actually working. It was just old and a bit difficult to close. The problem was the teacher did not even know the school was in lock down. He could have got it closed in time if they were not using a dumb silent alarm system.
      I don't see any problems with any of the officers actions in the report. There were clear problems with the way the whole thing ran.
