      That 100% does not describe what happened that day. Not really. It was a colossal fuckup by essentially one or two people in leadership positions running that call. No one is calling them cowards except ignorant clowns who don't know anything.

      One officer is the one photographed looking at his phone. His wife was one of the teachers who was killed. He attempted to save lives and was disarmed and removed by his fellow officers.

    I remember there was a mom she ran to the school while the cops were there rescued her two daughters (I believe) with no guns, bullet vest, had more balls then the Uvalde police dep. I’m so sorry for the families lost.

    I was a cop for 20 years have had lots of active shooter drills and training. Every cop that showed up there failed their training, or were cowards, full stop. How in the hell did this guy come to a different conclusion? That report isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

      They were never good for this kind of thing. Everyone talks about Uvalde, but if you watch footage from all the other shootings...it's always the same. Cops don't want to die for someone else, they are not hardcore operators. These aren't navy seals. People like that go to war, they don't become town cops.
      Everyone needs to adjust their expectations. Cops never saved people from threats. Self defense is the only way. It always was. Why would cops get in front of a bullet for your child? It doesn't make sense. They aren't paid anywhere near enough for that...they spend most of their time giving traffic tickets.

      They broke policy a number of times:
      1- Most of them did not wear N95 masks
      2- Not all of them stopped to use the hand sanitizer in the hall way as per covid prevention requirements
      3- Social distancing was not consistently observed
      Those violations will be further investigated by a separate task force in coordination and guidance with WHO and CDC Emergency - All peace officers involved are urged to review their regulations and guidelines booklets.

They do get paid enough, actually they are extremely overpaid. 99.9% they sit around doing nothing, but we pay them huge salaries with benefits so when something like Uvalde goes down, they're good to go. The police's job is to enforce laws and uphold the Constitution, not to "protect and serve." Unfortunately many of them don't know the law very well or violate them and they certainly have little respect for our civil rights.

      Investigator said: " I’m paid to make up facts” which is exactly right. Read the title of the report. He did what he was paid to do. He provided a report for the legal defense team. He claims he was told to walk out, which sounds plausible. Focus your anger on the corrupt and incompetent cops and officials that hired the "investigator".

      Second the shooter shot 100 plus rounds before police arrived. Those children were already dead.

Should the old that turn up and was told BORTAC was about to do the breach be charged?

      @@johnnydjiurkopff Dereliction of Duty sounds like a violation of department policy, not criminal. While "criminal negligence" is a crime in Texas, I think Warren v. District of Columbia supersedes for law enforcement, as they are not an "ordinary person" as in the TX penal code.

    As a Texan, this is not a shocker. What is more appalling to me is that this towns district voted for the same politicians who did nothing to change or to hold those accountable. The towns people of Uvalde deserve this! In the end no one had the balls to make the changes necessary. Except those few parents and heroes who spoke out and took action on that day. The rest can go straight to hell!
