Start out slow, playing guitar and simply spelling out the lyrics in time, to figure out any syncopations or rhythmic patterns. It will gradually get easier after that. What he is doing tho... Whole different story lol. Still wanking around in the simple minor and pentatonic scale

Man that verse riff at 0:41 is not one of, but THE most favorite riff ever written/played. I wish we can have more of this from Trivium, just riffage without singing over.

I love how James Hetfield inspired this is. The frantic downpicking, the nasally outro, always great seeing how music influences music.

This is the first song I ever heard from Trivium and I have been a fan ever since.
Lile light to the flies is one of my favorite songs since I´m a fan of Trivium. This song grew old really good, almost timeless
Soooo Matt Heafy Gibson Les Paul Goldtop signature guitar with that strap needs to happen!! Throw the Fishmans on there (I really dig that Custombucker tho), axcess heel and man I'd totally pick one up!
Well Matt is an endorsed Epiphone player and he likes to keep his Signatures affordable. An Epiphone goldtop would be sick though!
As to the strap, this is a one off custom by me but he by now has a golden Signature strap by Richter to go with his MKH guitars!

I am personally happy with the Epiphone Models. Well, never been fortunate enough to own one of his Signatures but played Epi LPs before and know they can deliver great quality for a fair price. And thanks!
Still remember playing sims 2 turning on the metal station and this song came on, blew my mind that they got a real metal band on there.

The year was 2014 in Central California, Trivium and Volbeat were here..I'll never forget the moment I heard the opening riff to this song live. I thought to myself "omg they're playing it!" and immediately ran straight into the mosh pit. One of the best days of my life 😢
