Over a decade ago I heard this song on like the first version of CZcams and I thought it was one of the more badass metal songs I had ever heard of (after 10 minutes of buffering) I was stunned when I learned the band was also from my old home of Florida. It was such an exciting time to be a metal fan. Keep doing you Matt, you inspire. Still listening to you guys today.

So I was 15 or 16 and this came on in like 2005? had to be one of the earliest cycles for the album - on one of those weird ass rock/metal channels on cable tv, like channel fucking 478 lmao... And you changed my world. You're only a year older than me and I was a very good guitar player but stuck in Metallica land still. You beat me to it Matt... This was some of the first legit variations of "metal core" imo. after hearing this I instantly understood what taking these kinds of riffs to the next level was. The next 5 to 10 years saw the dopiest rise in players and genres from crab to djent. And you were on the forefront killing it giving rise to these players.. Thanks man.

Matt started from sounding like a whiny teenager to a demon from the underworld. If want a better taste of that, just go to my channel and listen to the dropped down version of Pillars Of Serpents. Sounds absolutely Satanic and chaotic. I hope they can do something similar to Pull Harder because now they have two new things added to their inventory- Alex, the human octopus and Matt's deep baritone!
