Great pick! We got two solid two-way baseball players from OK State who are best friends - Nolan McClean & now Carson Benge. McClean is more seasoned as a pitcher & shelving being a hitter to focus on pitching. It remains to be seen if Carson tries to stay as a two-way player or just focus on hitting which is his strength.
Now let’s keep Benge Mets! We traded two of our former #1 picks - Kellenic & Crow-Armstrong who have become decent players but luckily they haven’t become elite players. Kellenic was worth it as we got Edwin Diaz in return but Crow-Armstrong for 4 months of Javier Baez who has regressed & shockingly fallen off a cliff as a player. Benge could ascend quickly as he has an advanced approach at the plate following a similar path to 2023 2nd Rounder Brandon Sproat. Sproat is already in Double AA & tearing it up!

I was one of the family members he's talking about he's really excited to play for the Mets. The trolls can troll all they want to. His game is above that so it don't really matter! It's not the biggest but that's what the miners are for to help him bulk up a little all I can say is he is very coachable and he's a natural at the plate. The power. Wait till he bulks up a little! He's an extra bass hitter all day long. Loves hitting the opposite way!
