@@AutoTopnl on wot, highway, the mst intake on the n55 sounds nice, but when you drive arround city, meh, not that nice. As i was talking with Hof, i dont really like it. How do you guys find it just for regular driving? Sweet car tho, my big ass heavy 535i is fast, but this little m2 is a rocket

I own a 17 C63S coupe and have always loved the M2 with N55 after my friend let me drive his. It is what I want in a car no assist no adjustable anything just a pure drivers car which is rare nowadays

I just saved money for m2 2016 but at the end i decided to spend this money on house.. still dont know if this was a good decision, maybe in 20 years i will be able to afford this beauty

@@srijananeja3516 problem is i wasted my best years (im currently 22yo) on working 13hrs per day i wanted to start living again with great car, wanted to be more confident and get out of depression get some friends, girlfriend but also i cant stand living with my parents.. now im broke, i took loan for house, i have No friends, gf etc. I really wonder how i will look at my decision in lets say 15 years.
The upgraded intercooler on N55 is necessary, like the change pipe. Regular M2 is still beautiful and what great car is!
Max, you are correct. LCI N55 M2 is definitely the sweet spot!

The M2 Comp has passive suspension as well, in fact the suspension components are identical. The M2 comp feels a little more tied down because of the additional weight of the S55 and linear power delivery.
(The CS has adaptive suspension, carbon bonnet & roof etc but has become a collectors car now).
Love my M2 6MT. With MPE and MPS, the car just has amazing feel, balance and of course, sound. My 13th BMW and I’m back in heaven!

I have seen a stock M2 Competition do a 100-200 time in 9.8 seconds (dragy) so quite interesting that you guys measured 10.59 secs. Keep up the content guys 💪🏼😎@autotopnl
9.8 is faster than a m4 convertible! I don’t believe a m2 can be that fast especially since I was racing one with my f83 and clearly won

You have to spec the larger brakes on the comp. They came standard with the same brakes as the OG unless you spec for the large brakes. They did in the UK at least anyway.

Definitely going to do the similar mods (already did all 3 pipes, pending OCC and intercooler, cold air intake - not too sure the benefits other than sound...).
Curious to know why Oil Catch Can is not of interest for most performance car owners knowing Direct Injection eventually cause carbon build-ups behind the intake valve and more...
Is the software adjusted for more horsepower or just modifications with stock software on it?

In the case is the control for the valve system, if you bypass that cable then you can adjust the valves yourself. Talk about a model 2018 I don't know if it's the same with the new models

i love my S55 M4 but the M2 N55 Sounds soooo fucking good !
I have a 2020 M2C DCT, which I bought last year to replace an E46 M3 6MT that I had for 10 years. I briefly looked at a 2017 M2, but ended up going for an M2C. I don't care that the M2C cost more than the M2. I'm very happy with what I got for my money. For me, the M2C is more brutish and I like that. I especially enjoy how the DCT compliments the tail-happy personality of the car. It's a very fun car to drive. I had an AutoSolutions shifter on my M3, but even with that improvement, BMW manuals are terrible. Thankfully, BMW DCTs are as good as their manuals are bad.
The M2 is never a car I would have considered sounding great or looking good but this thing sounds incredible and looks slick as you like.

You can't have sport plus, and dsc off at the same time in the M2 OG. Only in M2 Competition. Dsc off gives you different pedal and steering response compared to sport plus.
Right. With DSC off you still have the Sport+ burbles and so on. The steering is heavier when you drive faster (hardly difference to sport+). The pedal is like comfort mode but not the same, it’s like full throttle is full power. And half throttle half power. Know it from my M235i.
You can try modding it -- I have the Thor
I wonder if the owner has set the shift lights to flash about 5.8k RPM as the stock turbo runs out of puff around 6k.
Agree partially on your point about the manual, but not about this year bmw manuals not being good. Mine is a manual and it is excellent. I’ve driven a lot of BMWs in manual form, e46, e21, e30, my father collects old BMWs… this manual feels obviously much more refined but it still feels like a BMW gearbox. It’s much more fun and engaging to drive stick, everyone knows that, ESPECIALLY on a car like this. However, I do agree about the DCT being excellent in this car, and for playing around you can react quicker with the paddles, for sure.

My dad has had both of them. The OG with a Remus exhaust sounds mental and is quick but the comp just has way more grip but doesn’t sound as nice even with a Remus exhaust.

currently looking for one and im really torn between m2 and m2 comp, personally prefer the look of the comp, s55 because it has more power potential and added feature like individual driving modes
I had the same choice, even if the m2 competition has more power, I find the sound and simply the feeling of the n55 a lot better :) no regrets.

When you switch to "DSC Off" it automatically goes to SPORT no matter if u put it in Sport+ beforehand.

Hi, have the M2 F87 2016 with M-performance exhaust. My Question: Which intercooler do you use? the intake sound is amazing, want to have that sound. (Or what part did you add for that)?
CSF Intercooler or Wagner Evo 2.
4:34 He has the CSF FMIC and MST intake. I have the VRSF FMIC and absolutely love it. It has no trouble keeping IATs low with my stage 2+ tune, even during the summer here in TX. I stand by all VRSF parts, they have never done me wrong in the past 4 years on two different bimmers. Not sponsored btw. I have a stock intake, but if I were to get an aftermarket one, I'd get the MST intake as well.

If it’s dry then less tread is even better, tread is there to disperse water. As long as the edges are fine you are all good in the dry
Yeah, the dude, Max, I think, does not seem to know how tires work. On dry ground, a worn tire has much more grip than a new one. You basically have slicks. However, on wet ground as @Lewis Vincent already has claimed, you kind of get into trouble with aquaplaning - especially on a car like this with not much weight on the rear axle but a lot of power.
@@M3dicayne it's not exactly true, offcourse good tread is critical for a rainy weather but it's not like you said that worn tire has more grip on the dry because it's like slick, used tread has also less grip on dry but it's less noticeable.

I mean race track surface and road surface are surely not the same. Slicks might work on a track, but on the road??? I'm not too sure.

Honestly the only reason i would even care to get the m2 comp, is for the seats. I’m not power-hungry but those stock M2 seats are trash. I would prefer to have comp seats or m3/m4 seats.
M4 as the m3 doesn’t have the latch for rear passengers
