Thank u I always appreciate your videos!!!!
Welcome!!!
You saved me time and money, thank you!
Welcome
Thanks for replying back .I have taken it everywhere I know.I think I’m going to get the reservoir looked at.Guy I talked to said the filter gets stopped up.I noticed this morning had some fluid leaking from underneath reservoir.Fingers crossed hope that it.
Yeah mostly the tubes get hard and they not able to seal on contact
I’m hoping replacing the reservoir and tubes to it stops the noise.Ready to sell if it doesn’t fix it.
@@MarkBerry-fx7zp I never had a case with reserver maybe line leakin and it’s sipping down
Need to lift front end and turn steering wheel with engine off a couple times, that's how you get rid of air bubble. I don't have a floor jack or jack stands so gonna have a shop do it since I replaced the steering pump with a new one but still whines when cold.
Nicely done. Thanks fo that.
Yup thank you!!
Thank you bro
Welcome
Any advice on getting air out the power steering hose/pump or whatever yoi would call it. My car sometimes the steering wheel doesnt want to turn when im reversing in to a parkong spot and i noticed that when it strarts to do that the power steering hose makes a weird noise snd the power steering hose shakes. It happens from time to time. Someone told me i may have air in there somewhere but not sure how to get that to go away. Dont want to put money in it if its a quick fix
It self blended top of the fluid and check for leaks if u got bad o rings it might need fixing
@@RBTheMechanic ok I'll do that. Thanks
Very cool thanks a lot . Can you put in fluid if it’s empty and drive rite away? Or do I have to let it idle for 20 ?
I would let it idle
@@RBTheMechanic I appreciate that thank you 🙏🏼
Please provide suggestion, I have 2012 accord, When I turn extreme right or extreme left - 90 degree turn, I get sound of Chreee for a second and then while returning to mid position there is no sound, should I change those o-rings or just leave it if it's minimal noise when turning extreme right or left?, there are no bubbles or no noise as you've shown in video.
U might be forcing the pump to push further than it has to go and it can cause belt to squeak
My high pressure power steering hose was leaking so I got it replaced. The shop that I went to used non honda parts and fluid. Since then it's been making this whining noise while accelerating or turning. Will it damage the pump if I steer the wheel lock to lock to clear out the air? I cannot jack up the front of the car.
Don’t go lock it lock stop right about it before hit the end
Was the wheel a lil stiff to turn prior to changing the o rings ?
Yes
is it possible for the pump to leak BECAUSE of a bad o ring ?
No not cuz of line o rings pump has its own seals fix what need to be fixed then see if there’s other leaks
Question tho I’m having this problem whining in the morning I have to fill it every morning it leak everywhere and it bubble up do yall think it’s the pump
Not sure without looking at it so check to see where it’s leaking from common areas are pump seals o-rings and return lines
Where did you get the seals
My local part store
What were the seals called? Like is there a specific name and can I get them at oreillys ?
U have to ask them for print seals for power steering lines low and high pressure connecting to ps pump
I have power steering fluid leaking on the reservoir and the cap is good. So it must be bad O rings?
Not sure could be spill usully I don’t see fluid leak on to reservor
I’ve had everything done replaced the pump changed the o rings and belt tensioner pulley .It still whines what next .Is air getting in somewhere?
@@MarkBerry-fx7zp is there any power steering fluid leaking? Maybe there is a leak in one of the tubes. Check the steering gearbox.
@@MarkBerry-fx7zp check for leaks it maybe sucking air from some where and check to see if the pipe connector to resorvar r hard that’s also an jssue
@@MarkBerry-fx7zpThe whining sound could also be from low and/or dirty transmission fluid. Get it drained and refilled.
I believe that’s a k series tho
Ok
I cant find the o rings anywhere
Amazon
No need to bleed d fluid?
No it will bleed it self let it run for good 10-15 minutes
I just did the alternator on my son’s 99 mercury cougar 2.5 it was hell had to take off bunch of shit to get to it but had to take off upper p/s line coming from reservoir to p/s unit. Tiny bit of fluid came out got it all together NOW the p/s unit whines and has bubbles and I don’t get it wtf happened?
Check for air leaks
ran out of gas idling after 1 hour. hitch hikes to gas station to get more gas. started car again and whining n bubbling still der. Ok will wait again n update
Yup update me
@@RBTheMechanic noise still der and bubbles. i tink mybe still have leak and sucking air into system. which line would be sucking air into system? The high pressure feeder line or the return line? Can u help?
@@yamatomusashi1412 did I replace the orings also if ur pump is leaking that’s one issue
I tried replacing the o ring, the reservoir, the hose to the pump, and I STILL HAVE AIR IN SYSTEM!!
Is the hose hard? If it’s hard it will not seat and cause air in system check the whole system
WHAT IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS?
Then it maybe sucking air sumwhere or have leak
What exactly name parts?
The power steering pump o ring
Thanks i
J series ps pumps are natorious for doing that 😂 … the transmissions cvt suk too 🤦♂️ I seen somewhere that their cooling system was defective and that’s the reason y those transmissions go bad a lot of the time
Yeah
So what I do is take a heat gun and warm up the pulley nut and it goes away so I ordered the rebuild seal kit.
Ok replace the pump I guess than rebuilt the whole thing unless u ordered the 2 o rings then just do that
@@RBTheMechanic so my next question is because heat expands the seal in question could I use some AT-205 reseal in the power steering to help swell the o ring or recondition it so it’s not flat and stop the air on cold start? I will do a rebuild on the pump or replace it entirely when I have the time. Just looking for your thoughts on that.
What if it doesn’t go away
Then u maybe have leak or it’s sucking in air from the o ring
which oring connection would be sucking air?? feed or return? tnk u
@@yamatomusashi1412 usully it’s suction
@@RBTheMechanic yes yes, suction. My bad. So which line is it, is it the line coming from reservoir that could suction air into system if oring bad? Tnk u.
@@yamatomusashi1412 the line fat line resorvar to pump
