    To be fair, it's pretty much confirmed that "Lasha Tumbai" is a made up phrase they picked to sound like "Russia goodbye". 😂

      @tihk89 Před 3 lety +42

      Yep, and I'm pretty sure that last time he sings "lasha tumbai" he actually says "Russia goodbye". Just listen it and I'm sure you'll agree

      I'm sorry but It was never confirmed that was "Russia goodbye". Verka laughs to this day about "dumb western people" as she said. It was a nonsensical phrase borrowed from the greatest soviet rockman Viktor Tsoi and his nonsensical song from the 80's called - "Boshe Tunmai"

    Fact: the star on the head appeared because the artist heard that having something reflective or mirror-like in the clothing could help "reflect" the negative energy. Before that, he had many images with extraordinary headwear, like berets, flowers, flower crowns, etc.

      Verka initially was the parody for late Soviet and post-Soviet time (the 1990s). During the Soviet time, German was the main foreign language that Soviet pupils learned (not very successful, as hadn't practice but still remember several basic words). Verka underlines that she regards that generation unlike the new one that uses English)

    It's not really a true reaction if it's been already viewed, especially recently. Perhaps next time if your camera fails after a first time reaction just let it go. Because honestly it ruins the fun of it. We as viewers like to see your facial expressions etc in your reaction, not just what you have to say. That was completely vacant from this video.

  • @jackarnold9142

    I know Johnny Logan is a Eurovision Legend, but imo he’s overrated. Especially his 1980 and 1987 entries. Linda Martin’s Song in 1992 was good and a deserved winner. Show less known songs from 1980. The songs that deserved to win or place higher. Theater, Cinema, Amsterdam and Bitakat Hob (The only ever African entry) to name a few. This ended up being more of a rant than expected but, I’d rather here lesser known Eurovision songs than winners, icons and famous songs which charged outside of Europe. Your video on Edsilia was great because it was lesser known.
