Does "Lasha tumbai" mean something? Jeah the meaning of the song is just like it sounds. If you know what i mean. Political song are banned in eurovision but Ukraine is thinking outside of the box even before something serious happened.

Fact: the star on the head appeared after Andriy Danylko (the real name of the performer) heard that wearing something reflective or mirror-like could help "reflect the negative energy". And he also stated that by participating in the Eurovision he wanted to prove that "Serduchka is the Ukrainian Cinderella, for she started as a train stewardess and became a star!" (he started his career from standup comedy, where Serduchka was a train stewardess)

Well, let me explain a little: Eurovisión has a funny side. Some performances and artists didn't are that you usually seen in a song contest. They usually has a second meaning. For example, the chorus of this song could sound as "Russia goodbye" (Ukraine and Russia has problems since a long, long time, so you can think that this song could be a way of make fun to Russia). Verska is a character withouth a clear gender, funny and sweet, very famous in the Eurovisión fandom. He/she also participated in the show for the final ESC 2019, with anothers Eurovisión stars, not only winners.

Verka has exlained multiple times that “Lasha tumbai “ had nothing to do with Russia goodbye and it was an accident. Before that, she was a huge star in Russia, but after this performance they closed all the doors for her.
I’m from Ukraine, and Vera is very loved here, just as much as Andrew Danylko - the man behind that character. Nowadays we don’t see him as Verka too much, mostly for Eurovision. he says he is tired of her, but he shows on Tv very often as himself.
