Gran Turismo is a legacy game for me. Bought the first one on my PS and every one since! Yes, even A-SPEC!!! I love modding the cars, even though I don't know anything about cars! I love the "Used Cars" because I always try to find the closest to what I actually drive so hopefully, GT7 will have a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe!! Bring back the horns!!! Beep Beep!
Sorry to disappoint you, I m like you and loved GT used cars, this time they went the gtsport route. Too many racing cars and not enough dailies. Just 420 cars, meaning only 100 new cars on top of the ones from gt sport. Most of the added ones are gt class. Sad

If the servers are taken down as they certainly will be, there is no guarantee we'll still be able to play this regardless of if we have internet or not. This is what's causing the bother for some
Great game. Preordered weeks ago. Was slightly disappointed to see there is no C8 Corvette at launch. Nor are there any C7 Z06 and ZR1. But this game will still definitely be my most played game this year. Edit: Correction, the C7 ZR1 is in the game.
This guy needs too know his history of Gran Turismo. He said...."In GT-7, it will be the first time you'll be able too drive a Porsche." Which is absolutely ridiculous. I remember driving a Porsche in the first GT game on my PS1. 🤫
And those games had less graphics, many non premium cars, less storage potential, an older system, much less realistic physics, plenty less of a car upgrading system. So with that being said, yeah they could add more cars to those older games and that's what they did. However on the PS5, more effort of improvements were heavily involved. GT Sport and 6 grew plenty after a while in car count list and sports list was terriblein numbers but very impressive looking, so surely 7 will do the same. Besides 400+ cars all customizable is going to take a while for us to actually get heavily involved when talking each and every last one of them. 420+ is a great start when combined with all the improvements and the versatile tuning setups you can mess around with. Plus motorswaps and nitrous. What's the rush, unless you want 700+ and 215 of them are duplicates 🤣
@@MrDerekRobinson the PREMIUM car count for GT6 was 474 (according to a wiki i saw, so thats actually more than GTS's 338). the point is, we seem to be getting sold less content, for bigger money as the versions progress. GT sport was the apparent exception, as it was supposed for be used for league racing etc.... but i just dont want GT7 to recycle GTS cars, then call it a day, and we get charged extra for DLC afterwards. ..people should NOT accept the practice as normal.

However tones of people would be happy with a remastered version of their favorite past games, despite 95% of it all being recycled and just being better graphics. I do get what you're saying, but it's a great difference from GT sport and GT6 and then GT7. Despite all of these things, what we've been previewed has been good enough to still consider buying the game with only 400+ cars. I like forza but I'm not a big fan of the open world system but being a car enthusiasts, it had enough for me to Still get it, and I only like about 60 to 75% of the game. My point is, if your a fan, and you like about 3 quarter percent of it, it's probably good enough to still buy it, knowing good and well that there's 20 to 25% of stuff that's not their for you but you still desire enough of it. Odds are, gran turismo won't be the perfect game but 75% of it to many will still worth buying lol, with the recycling. I mean it's gran turismo, we know what they're good for, and that's what's driven their success. If it's looked like a forza game, the criticism and hype would be significantly worse. It has to resemble past games in some way, and maybe 700+ cars won't heav8ly reflect the past but just our favorites which is wishful thinking.
As someone that loved GT3 for its 4th Gen Camaro (I drive a Firebird irl) so I wish they made that a more viable option if you owned lower end sports cars

Force Feedback is very weak. In GTS I can feel the weight of the car, I can feel the curbs. In GT7 I feel almost nothing. I am using a Fanatec GT DD Pro, the “official” wheel of GT7

If you’re into track racing then this is the game right here. However if you like more crazy fun racing then Wreckfest is also amazing lol. I’m also a fan of the forza series but Gran turismo is the king of track racers imo Throwing in dirt and wrc series as my other current favorite realistic racers
I don't understand this. Why? Well because; I pay for my internet, and I expect my internet to be available at all times. So this concept shouldn't be an issue in my opinion. Also anything that has a cloud storage requires online all the time. This complaint is ridiculous in many ways. Examples are: any game online you choose to play requires online connectivity to play and save online stats and player ratings exchange with others. Cloud servers requires online and always have. Most of PS5 benefit is transferring ps4 data to ps5, via online data. PS plus.... online data. Gran Theft Auto V 🤣 online data. Playstation and xbox Digital copies require online. I suppose if you can't rely on your internet, then that sucks but, that's a personal problem and so many games require online saves. All perma death games are always online saves. This concept is really old, so I'm really surprised by all the dislikes for something you pay full time for, which is internet lol. Even your warrantee one way shape or form requires online data, and your credit/debit requires it.
Let me make it easy for you then. Older Gran Turismo games can be played in their entirety to this day, without being online. All games support local saves as well as cloud saves, which makes that a moot point. Bottom line - when the servers for GT7 are shut down, only a fraction of the game will be playable.
I have high hopes for this. I grew up playing the original Gran Turismo and it’s sequels, and loved them. But in all honesty, there hasn’t been a great Gran Turismo game since 4. It’s long since been blown away by Forza Motorsport. Hoping GT7 can at least return to its former glory.
@@JimyHatzoo There were definitely talks about the a.i. in gt7. It is supposed to be a lot more sophisticated, supposedly also have the ability to hold a grudge. But we will see.
@@V8Supercar1 I've seen a little bit of that in leaked steam last night. It's definitely present and from what I saw, it's likely to be the 1st place car. You'll start in the back one ai car will be a bit of challenge but that was within the career and I don't think it was a stock car because the player was using a modified Nissan R32 GTR road car and the car giving him a somewhat decent run was a Subaru wrx.. stock for stock a wrx doesn't stand a chance to a. R32

I was never a fan of standard cars in the previous games, mostly because the PS2 models looked horribly outdated and lacked proper interiors, but I unironically hope GT5 and 6 Premiums get to appear as standard cars in 7, because they still hold up to this day, despite not looking quite as good as 7's models. Also, because they're fully detailed, they're only a few minor changes and some textures away from GT 7 quality if they Polyphony wanted to upgrade some of them to Premiums.
I agree , only question is if they still have the rights to still use those specific cars in gt. But who can argue on getting more cars in the game. If only we get a few more tracks in later updates. Grand valley speedway, Tokyo r246 , Midfield and let's not forget about the ''beginner'' track from Gt 2 , Tahiti road (maybe include several layouts). Tahiti road with current visuals would probably look incredible.
Online only. That’s me out!!!! I have 400mb down 70 up and it’s not good enough stability wise. Always down with virgin media and there’s no better option where I am. So I can’t even play campaign while it’s down? Nah they fucked that right up. Game looks pretty meh but the only option on ps5 for a good racer unfortunately. Was excited until I heard it was online only ffs.
Haven’t played GT since GT 3 came out. Decided to buy the GT sport since it was only 10 Bucks. Seeing how GT7 is 70 dollars for the ps5 version I will wait for a huge price drop I value my 70 dollars a lot more

I have questions about this game...How many cars are going to be available at launch? Will Gran Turismo 7 have a good sample of American muscle? Does this game finally allow us to drive every car in in car cam? I haven't watched this yet but I hope at least one question I asked is answered. No matter what, I will be picking this up for the PS5 on day one just as I did Forza Horizon V for the Series X. Even though Horizon is more arcadey it's the best we have for a decent 1 on 1 between the two 9th generation machines. I don't know who is going to come out in top but I suspect Gran Turismo will as I'm not big on the new Horizon.

Forza Horizon V and Gran Turismo 7 are the only racing games of their kind (car collectathon) that have been released for the 9th generation consoles. I'm not talking about gameplay, physics, handling or any aspect of driving itself... I want to know which game has the best car models. I'm looking at the finer details of each and every car. Which game portrays the vehicles visually most accurately? What kind of damage models does each game have? Which title has the most automobiles to drive? Do they sound accurate or am I going to drive a Dodge Hellcat that sounds like a Honda Civic beater from 1997 (Gran Turismo is famous for this one)? Do they both feature an in-car cam for every automobile? That's what most people are doing when they compare these two games. Addendum- I own Forza Horizon V on the Series X but I have not purchased Gran Turismo 7 yet for our PS5. I will likely pick it up tonight after I do some real world car shopping. :)

GT Sport was boring at the start. Then by the time career mode came in I've lost all interest. GT7 feels like GT SPort with the added career mode from the start. I miss GT3 A-spec
I really loved GT4, played GT5 too but it was way to short. I skipped GT6 because people said campaign (a-spec) only was online, or was like missing? Is GT7 like GT4?
Good video, but they need to improve menu navigation in GT7. It's so painful when your in campaign mode to have go backwards through 5 or 6 menus just to get to purchase a car for a particular race. On top of that your have to remember which cars allowed for that particular race. It's main competitor Forza handles this so much better.
Now I’m having the problem of having the credits to buy expensive cars but now because of the dumb rotation of cars I want. I’m scared to spend it on a car then the next day the Ferrari f40 show and I can’t get it. I hate this rotation system
all I know is GT7 has an online requirement meaning we wont be able to play the game when those servers are taken down internet or not. I mean I'm sure it will be an excellent game but I like to play these games many years after they release and I still do with the likes of GT 4, 5 and 6 but GT7 does require persistent internet. That simply means we wont be able to access the campaign when they pull the plug. Let that sink in to all those that enjoy the shit out of these games, you're being sold a game you wont be able to play at some point

Why do people call horizon a arcade but motorsport a Sim. Have anyone not looked at how extremely similar the two games are🤣. From a physics standpoint they're not really different but they do look different graphically.
I am the husband of ramona , building 1.6 million credits just takes time. How much depends on how good you are at racing. It is realistic to start with a cheap 2nd hand car and work your way up to a real sportcar. I wil get the basic version and have the fun of working my way up.

Come on Kazunori, we need more Chrysler vehicles! There's a wealth of legendary cars to add in to the game. 69 Daytona. 70 Superbird. 68 Hemi Dart or Barracuda. Team ORECA Viper GTS-R. 71 Hemi Cuda. 1970 Challenger T/A or R/T. 70 AAR Cuda. The Turbo Interceptor. I can go on and on.

Unfortunately there's just not enough new stuff in this release to draw me in at launch. Maybe over time they'll add some content that we haven't seen in an earlier game. Gimmicks like the jukebox mode, photomode (vistas), and b-spec are pretty meaningless to someone who just wants a deep racing game. Career mode is just gonna be another standard rolling grind affair of chase the rabbit and dumb rubberband AI (with 'Sophy' supposedly coming later). It's also a shame to hear that dynamic weather is not available on all tracks. Polyphony Digital have a nasty habit of releasing a product with lots of 'future features'. GT Sport hurt this release by essentially being an evolving product which now ultimately looks much like the GT7 release...
Understandable. Although I'm eager to try it, I'm also worried that i might get underwhelmed with content. It's still early for me to tell. With the latest GT titles we did get some major changes from release to end version. Question is what they will include and how long it would take them. It seems the developers of GT add more content based on sales and at times feedback(although sometimes the cars we got on GT sport was asked by 0.01%). I hope they will add what a majority of people have asked for rather than a car that is already in the game but 1 year newer and almost identical specs. Same for tracks, many people want a returning track rather than a new layout for a mediocre circuit.

@@MrDerekRobinson Not I have connection issue but not every countrty in the world have steandy internet connection and locking most of the content online only Witch by the way their was part of previous GT game that were offline, that the major problem for modern gaming forcing to push everythink online even SP games
@@DocVolteer I agree, but I'm sure the online stuff is mainly your data cloud regarding your offline stuff. Your game should play just fine and save to your Playstation even if you don't have internet briefly but the storage save happens when you're connected. This overall is to prevent cheating players doing hacks and glitches. I'm not gonna say I prefer it or not. I just understand why they're doing it.

not really.. this is meant to simulate real racing.. real racing takes place on tracks, not in some fast and furious type street racing.. that is so far away from what GT is... forza can get away with it because its an arcade racer

I'm not the biggest FH fan, but GT fans would lose their minds over the things you can do in FH5, it's not all 'fast and furious type street racing', you're free to set up your own races or events with the cars you want, so you can do only classic cars etc. You can create rally stages. Single car events, like cover a certain distance in a set time or without taking damage - And share them all with other players.

I suppose the biggest difference is that these games are two console generations apart. GT6 still holds up well considering.

All games support local saves as well as cloud saves, which makes that a moot point. Bottom line - when the servers for GT7 are shut down, only a fraction of the game will be playable.

I have high hopes for this. I grew up playing the original Gran Turismo and it’s sequels, and loved them. But in all honesty, there hasn’t been a great Gran Turismo game since 4. It’s long since been blown away by Forza Motorsport. Hoping GT7 can at least return to its former glory.

@@V8Supercar1 I've seen a little bit of that in leaked steam last night. It's definitely present and from what I saw, it's likely to be the 1st place car. You'll start in the back one ai car will be a bit of challenge but that was within the career and I don't think it was a stock car because the player was using a modified Nissan R32 GTR road car and the car giving him a somewhat decent run was a Subaru wrx.. stock for stock a wrx doesn't stand a chance to a. R32

I was never a fan of standard cars in the previous games, mostly because the PS2 models looked horribly outdated and lacked proper interiors, but I unironically hope GT5 and 6 Premiums get to appear as standard cars in 7, because they still hold up to this day, despite not looking quite as good as 7's models.
Also, because they're fully detailed, they're only a few minor changes and some textures away from GT 7 quality if they Polyphony wanted to upgrade some of them to Premiums.
I agree , only question is if they still have the rights to still use those specific cars in gt. But who can argue on getting more cars in the game. If only we get a few more tracks in later updates. Grand valley speedway, Tokyo r246 , Midfield and let's not forget about the ''beginner'' track from Gt 2 , Tahiti road (maybe include several layouts). Tahiti road with current visuals would probably look incredible.
So essentially this is Online only. I was never going to buy this (&/or the console to play it), but now I am really not interested..!

I have questions about this game...How many cars are going to be available at launch? Will Gran Turismo 7 have a good sample of American muscle? Does this game finally allow us to drive every car in in car cam? I haven't watched this yet but I hope at least one question I asked is answered. No matter what, I will be picking this up for the PS5 on day one just as I did Forza Horizon V for the Series X. Even though Horizon is more arcadey it's the best we have for a decent 1 on 1 between the two 9th generation machines. I don't know who is going to come out in top but I suspect Gran Turismo will as I'm not big on the new Horizon.

You don't know why Forza Horizon V is being compared to Gran Turismo 7? Really? It's fairly simple to explain and yes, they can be compared. Forza Horizon V and Gran Turismo 7 are the only racing games of their kind (car collectathon) that have been released for the 9th generation consoles. I'm not talking about gameplay, physics, handling or any aspect of driving itself...
I want to know which game has the best car models. I'm looking at the finer details of each and every car. Which game portrays the vehicles visually most accurately? What kind of damage models does each game have? Which title has the most automobiles to drive? Do they sound accurate or am I going to drive a Dodge Hellcat that sounds like a Honda Civic beater from 1997 (Gran Turismo is famous for this one)? Do they both feature an in-car cam for every automobile? That's what most people are doing when they compare these two games.
Addendum- I own Forza Horizon V on the Series X but I have not purchased Gran Turismo 7 yet for our PS5. I will likely pick it up tonight after I do some real world car shopping. :)

I really loved GT4, played GT5 too but it was way to short. I skipped GT6 because people said campaign (a-spec) only was online, or was like missing? Is GT7 like GT4?

Good video, but they need to improve menu navigation in GT7. It's so painful when your in campaign mode to have go backwards through 5 or 6 menus just to get to purchase a car for a particular race. On top of that your have to remember which cars allowed for that particular race. It's main competitor Forza handles this so much better.

all I know is GT7 has an online requirement meaning we wont be able to play the game when those servers are taken down internet or not. I mean I'm sure it will be an excellent game but I like to play these games many years after they release and I still do with the likes of GT 4, 5 and 6 but GT7 does require persistent internet. That simply means we wont be able to access the campaign when they pull the plug. Let that sink in to all those that enjoy the shit out of these games, you're being sold a game you wont be able to play at some point

How much depends on how good you are at racing.
It is realistic to start with a cheap 2nd hand car and work your way up to a real sportcar.

Unfortunately there's just not enough new stuff in this release to draw me in at launch. Maybe over time they'll add some content that we haven't seen in an earlier game. Gimmicks like the jukebox mode, photomode (vistas), and b-spec are pretty meaningless to someone who just wants a deep racing game. Career mode is just gonna be another standard rolling grind affair of chase the rabbit and dumb rubberband AI (with 'Sophy' supposedly coming later). It's also a shame to hear that dynamic weather is not available on all tracks. Polyphony Digital have a nasty habit of releasing a product with lots of 'future features'. GT Sport hurt this release by essentially being an evolving product which now ultimately looks much like the GT7 release...
Understandable. Although I'm eager to try it, I'm also worried that i might get underwhelmed with content. It's still early for me to tell. With the latest GT titles we did get some major changes from release to end version. Question is what they will include and how long it would take them. It seems the developers of GT add more content based on sales and at times feedback(although sometimes the cars we got on GT sport was asked by 0.01%). I hope they will add what a majority of people have asked for rather than a car that is already in the game but 1 year newer and almost identical specs. Same for tracks, many people want a returning track rather than a new layout for a mediocre circuit.

Nope, I stick to 6 I am not licking that most of the stuff is online only even 6 got some content that can be offline easily there no excuse.
I don't understand this. Why? Well because; I pay for my internet, and I expect my internet to be available at all times. So this concept shouldn't be an issue in my opinion. Also anything that has a cloud storage requires online all the time. This complaint is ridiculous in many ways. Examples are: any game online you choose to play requires online connectivity to play and save online stats and player ratings exchange with others. Cloud servers requires online and always have. Most of PS5 benefit is transferring ps4 data to ps5, via online data. PS plus.... online data. Gran Theft Auto V 🤣 online data. Playstation and xbox Digital copies require online. I suppose if you can't rely on your internet, then that sucks but, that's a personal problem and so many games require online saves. All perma death games are always online saves. This concept is really old, so I'm really surprised by all the dislikes for something you pay full time for, which is internet lol. Even your warrantee one way shape or form requires online data, and your credit/debit requires it.

@@DocVolteer I agree, but I'm sure the online stuff is mainly your data cloud regarding your offline stuff. Your game should play just fine and save to your Playstation even if you don't have internet briefly but the storage save happens when you're connected. This overall is to prevent cheating players doing hacks and glitches. I'm not gonna say I prefer it or not. I just understand why they're doing it.

not really.. this is meant to simulate real racing.. real racing takes place on tracks, not in some fast and furious type street racing.. that is so far away from what GT is... forza can get away with it because its an arcade racer

I'm not the biggest FH fan, but GT fans would lose their minds over the things you can do in FH5, it's not all 'fast and furious type street racing', you're free to set up your own races or events with the cars you want, so you can do only classic cars etc. You can create rally stages. Single car events, like cover a certain distance in a set time or without taking damage - And share them all with other players.
