People seem to miss the fact that it wasnt Oogway refusing Tai Lung the dragon scroll that made him turn, but the fact that Shifu didnt even try to stand up for him after being the one who convinced Tai Lung that he was the Dragon warrior in the first place.
And oogway felt there wasn't enough emotional balance. Only raw power. That alone isnt everything and dangerous if not focused properly. Such flaws make one not worthy to be dragon warrior and one day suceed oogway.
That's because it's not Shifu's place to side with the one he thinks should be the Dragon Warrior. The mistake Shifu did with Tai Lung is fill him with dreams that weren't exactly his purpose as a student. the other thing is that Tai Lung expected to be the Dragon Warrior because he felt he was better than everyone. and yes, he technically was the best of everyone, but just because you are more skilled doesn't mean that you deserve to be the Dragon Warrior. That was the only time he stood up for her because he thought Oogway was going to choose her. It's different for Tai Lung because he was taking a moment to process what just happened. With Tai Lung not being chosen He took his anger out on the village. which is what the Dragon Warrior stands against. Giving Oogway justifiable reason to not choose him. most likely Shifu was the one to put him in jail for the best and to pay the price for attacking the village.
The reason the furious 5 didn't show up in the movie is because if Chameleon ever saw Mantis all of his motivations would just be gone and the movie would end too early. So the masters that rejected the Chameleon are just dumb.

Kai wanted to take all the pandas chi to become stronger and win for his country but oogway changed because he saw the good side of things and wanted peace more than war. Technicaly Shen wanted to stop what he was doing because he knew what he was doing was wrong, we can see that he hesitates after the sooth sayer tells him that his parents loved him so much that having to send him away killed them, he couldn't stop because he knew that if he did everyone who died would have died for nothing

That’s what I love about Shen. He’s so broken, tore apart by his past. In his last confrontation with the soothsayer, you can hear his stuttering, his desperateness to cling onto any amount of hope that what he’s doing will continue to fuel some sort of satisfaction in him, knowing full and well it won’t
I love to think that the reason Oogway didn't see tai lung as the dragon warrior, was the same reason he "betrayed" kai. Both were very powerful warriors, but were desperate to be more powerful. To be stronger. It was their obsession. Whereas Po, is merely a joyful learner. He has a great appreciation for kung fu, but wants to learn more not out of greed or lust for power, but simply so that he can belong, and because he thinks it's cool. Much like how all the other pandas oogway once met, using chi for prosperity and selflessness, Po was the perfect heart for the dragon warrior title.
Tai Lung needs to have his own solo film based on the prequel of his past journey on training for the title of the Dragon Warrior. Battling countless kung fu warriors and fighting in contest champions.
Except Kai was already a bad dude. So was oogway. Oogway became good when he met the pandas. If you pay attention to KFP3's opening you can see how Oogway was the one who changed.

Kungfu panda 3 kinda explain why Tai Lung wasn’t the Dragon warrior, both Oogway and Kai were power hunger, they fought together to become more powerful together. When Oogway got hurt, he got cured by the pandas and in the movie, when they rescued Po in the spirit realm, the energy was coming from the heart and it was pure positive energy. You can also kinda see when they portrayed Kai and Oogway fighting, the color theme was black and dark but when Oogway got cured, it turned yellow and bright. This means Ooway turned Good because he felt the peace and calm from that “Chi” so he stopped Kai. Also, this explain why he didn’t choose Tailung because he can see he’s a power hunger like him used to be with dark and black color theme.

Those three villains also represent Po’s physical, mental and spiritual test. Up next is the Chameleon in KFP4, who brings back his past enemies both living and dead with her magic.
Fun fact : Tai Lung doesnt to kill peple. His only target is to take revenge on Shifu and takes what he thinks is his - the Dragon Scroll. He didnt try to kill anyone literally, you guys can notice it when he had a battle with the Furious 5.
Every villain is a hero in his own story. Though no one is born villain, but what decision you choose in the bad circumstances and time makes a person what they are.
I like Shen the most for so many reasons: 1. His personal connection to Po. 2. He was brought up privileged and in royalty. His spoiled upbringing and him being used to getting his way foreshadowed a dark future for China if he was to usurp the throne. 3. His pride and determination for power led to him fearing for his defeat by a warrior in black and white (a panda), which only further pushed him down that dark path. Shen is definitely the most interesting because everything that happened could’ve been avoided had he ignored the foretelling by the Goat and swallowed his pride. *Bonus*: I also like how Shen isn’t really much of fighter and once he realizes he’s outmatched he flees or resorts to his most powerful weapon; the canon.
The Chameleon is broken too. She got kciked out from every lung fu school due to her size, she judged by the cover. She want to ruler china to prove others wrong. I feel so sad when I heard this 😭. But she is the most pretty and cutest villain ❤❤❤

In this I guess the lesson that we are going to learn from the chameleon is finding our identity, such as all of the three movies based on, Kung Fu Panda 1 is about the Body, then Kung Fu Panda 2 is about the Mind and lastly Kung Fu Panda 3 is about the Spirit, then the fourth one is about the finding the true identity of what it means to be a dragon warrior as Po is having a hard time of who he should really is.
Tai lung doesnt want to kill shifu, he wants the scroll as hes been trained by shifu till his bones crack and he thinks the only way to make shifu proud of him is if hes the dragon warrior, but since shifu trained him on the more violent side, he is use to being aggressive.

@@Mrcleggharling Kai was a warlord who had no issues with enslaving and betraying the pandas, who selfishly saved his best friend without asking anything in return, for power. He was always evil.

Kungfu panda 3 kinda explain why Tai Lung wasn’t the Dragon warrior, both Oogway and Kai were power hunger, they fought together to become more powerful together. When Oogway got hurt, he got cured by the pandas and in the movie, when they rescued Po in the spirit realm, the energy was coming from the heart and it was pure positive energy. You can also kinda see when they portrayed Kai and Oogway fighting, the color theme was black and dark but when Oogway got cured, it turned yellow and bright.
This means Ooway turned Good because he felt the peace and calm from that “Chi” so he stopped Kai. Also, this explain why he didn’t choose Tailung because he can see he’s a power hunger like him used to be with dark and black color theme.
This lung is needed to accept failure to be dragon warrior

We need a separate movie for master Oogway and Shifu telling their story and friendship together.

Those three villains also represent Po’s physical, mental and spiritual test. Up next is the Chameleon in KFP4, who brings back his past enemies both living and dead with her magic.
Kai wasn't broken and even if he was he caused it himself he became a villain before he broke
Fun fact : Tai Lung doesnt to kill peple. His only target is to take revenge on Shifu and takes what he thinks is his - the Dragon Scroll. He didnt try to kill anyone literally, you guys can notice it when he had a battle with the Furious 5.

Every villain is a hero in his own story. Though no one is born villain, but what decision you choose in the bad circumstances and time makes a person what they are.

I like Shen the most for so many reasons:
1. His personal connection to Po.
2. He was brought up privileged and in royalty. His spoiled upbringing and him being used to getting his way foreshadowed a dark future for China if he was to usurp the throne.
3. His pride and determination for power led to him fearing for his defeat by a warrior in black and white (a panda), which only further pushed him down that dark path.
Shen is definitely the most interesting because everything that happened could’ve been avoided had he ignored the foretelling by the Goat and swallowed his pride.
*Bonus*: I also like how Shen isn’t really much of fighter and once he realizes he’s outmatched he flees or resorts to his most powerful weapon; the canon.
The Chameleon is broken too. She got kciked out from every lung fu school due to her size, she judged by the cover. She want to ruler china to prove others wrong. I feel so sad when I heard this 😭. But she is the most pretty and cutest villain ❤❤❤
Master oogway didn't choose tai lung as the dragon warrior because it was a test to see if he learn peace and kindness

Lord Shen: “My parents abandoned me that they made me so mad I had to start a villain arc 🥺”

I wouldn't say broken quite describes him
Imagine if Tai Lung was finding a job, he will destroy the world due to frustration
Tai Lung seems to be more mad that She Fu did nothing when Oogway refused to make him the dragon warrior which crushed all of Tai Lung hopes, dreams, and probably made it feel like all the hard work was for nothing
Every villain in every movie are broken at some part in their lifetime.

Like Krishan Ji has said, "Difficulties in one's life doesn't mean it's his/her licence to walk on the wrong path. Difficulties are meant to make you stronger and better, not evil."
Oogway refusing the scroll to Tai lung was all a test, to see if he could accept defeat with honor, but he failed that test

Tai Lung became angry, not when Oogway denied him, but when Shifu hyped him up all his life and didn’t even come to his defense

In this I guess the lesson that we are going to learn from the chameleon is finding our identity, such as all of the three movies based on, Kung Fu Panda 1 is about the Body, then Kung Fu Panda 2 is about the Mind and lastly Kung Fu Panda 3 is about the Spirit, then the fourth one is about the finding the true identity of what it means to be a dragon warrior as Po is having a hard time of who he should really is.

Tai lung doesnt want to kill shifu, he wants the scroll as hes been trained by shifu till his bones crack and he thinks the only way to make shifu proud of him is if hes the dragon warrior, but since shifu trained him on the more violent side, he is use to being aggressive.
Dude no teacher teaches a student with a peaceful and violent bias of a purpose. He or she just teaches. The rest is up to student who applies it for either good or bad💜👍😊
@@KrishnaKishory that may be true but due to shifu always approving to everything tai lung does, he thinks that if those gave him the approval, its ok for him to do.
And due to that tragedy, shifu then trained the F 5 differently to avoid the same fate. As shown in the movie with the comparison of tai lung and tigress, and how he complemented the F 5 in the beginning of the movie.
Meaning shifu doesnt want Tai Lung to be bad but due to the way he teaches him, he became what shifu doesnt want to
@@justarandomperson429 yes you are right though... Shifu saw a son and a student in Tai Lung. He was a mixed up dad and teacher to him. He kind of reflected his ego as a dad while teaching Tai Lung who took it for granted. Shifu never felt as a dad with any other student out of guilt and regret he had with Tai Lung.
