  • In recent protests at the University of Texas at Austin, over 130 individuals were arrested, with the university claiming more than half were not affiliated with the school, while protesters argue the campus is public property and outside involvement is being mischaracterized, as police have filed more detailed arrest affidavits this time, making it less likely that charges will be dropped compared to previous arrests.

UT is a Public university. All citizens are allowed to be on campus and join in protests. We still have a 1st amendment? Don't we? Don't muddy the waters knit picking about arrests. It's a diversion. The issue is over policing and I reference with citizen rights.

The govt which guarantees public dissent &freedom of speech thru it's constitution, cannot try to suppress the right to dissent by giving different colours .the world community is outraged by the brutal crack down to take away the constitutional right of protesters. Peaceful protests must &must be allowed until the goal of protesters is achieved.
