I'm crying watching this short because it's epic and she's a hero alright. She isn't it to the hero worship. She's feeling the responsibility of protecting the city. She aims to save them, not to show off. She didn't go in single handed because she can, she did it because she wanted to help save them. She's awesome

Feels like you're on the edge of your seat, almost holding your breath while watching these the first time, especially after "Honor and Glory". Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it! I've loved every single one of them, 10/10 on all of them! They're just soooo "impactful".

Great reaction! I've also been waiting for a D.VA short! She's so much fun to play and as a Korean (well, half), I love seeing a Korean character in a game that I love so much. And yes, I'd kill for a full-length movie like this! Blizzard just needs to increase their animation department by like 5 times. These shorts take them about a year to make with their current staff. The game seems a lot less toxic since the endorsement system came out, not sure if you tried it since that was implemented. And as others have suggested, playing with friends is a great way to play as well. The new map, Busan, is pretty awesome too. You should try coming back.

Like others have suggested, queue up with friends or make a custom match. Do not go on Voice Chat. They are toxic in of itself. I appreciate them cracking down and rewarding good sportsmanship, but everyone has a LONG WAY to go.

The short is wonderful. There are a lot of subtle things that gives all sorts of information about D.Va and Dae hyun. I was wondering, do you think Dae hyun has a chance with Hana? Was she really friend zoning him? I've seen so many "poor guy, he was friend zoned" comments, but the look in her eyes seemed to me of genuine respect and attraction. Oh! I'm a D.Va main too!! And hey. I'm a lot worse than you are. I gave up my religion because of others..... well not really for their sake - no one asked me to, but I did it so I could be accepted. Also, I've never made any real friends with Overwatch, just some people who accepted my friend requests and don't usually speak to me again. I don't really know how to make friends, to be honest. Guys are almost always nice to me, but girls have always degraded me, and made me feel invalidated, and it's probably because I've allowed myself to become so feminine, and cultivated spinelessness as well. So don't be so hard on yourself. I'm learning how to socialize better and am becoming a true man, but I feel so clueless when I try to understand people, so don't fret and get back in there.
It feels waaay too much like Evangelion for my liking. The Genshin with the tentacles are like one of the angels, they have a big red core and it's even red. DVA has a skin tight piloting suit exactly like the plug suits and even has a headpiece for it. The vividly colored mechs and the fact the Genshin arrive a lot sooner than expected also rings a bell. It's too many similarities to be coincidential and as such doesn't make it seem very original. It still was fun though.
Blizzard's live action movie of WoW didn't do very well, but I think one of the problems was making it live action in the first place. It would work better in the animation style of their cinematics and if got the same voice actors they've been using to voice the roles in the movie. We already associate those characters with those voices, and the voice actors already do an amazing job bringing the characters to life. Yes, it would be expensive for them to make a fully animated/cg movie, and it would be a risk they are unlikely to take anytime soon because of how poorly the WoW performed when it came out. They didn't even get enough support from the fans for the movie to break even. So, unfortunately, as much as we want them to make an animated/cg movie of one of their IPs, it is unlikely to happen in the near future.
i really enjoy this cinematic, much like many others... but they did kinda mess up... they should have brought the mech lower to the water... cause from that height, her body would have hit the water as though it were concrete... if she didn't die... every bone in her body would be broken. not to mention the speed the mech was going, and the explosion... but i get why they did it...

Dont go back. The animated short wont change the crappy community. To me too the only reason i keep playing is because i am yet to find a new game to switch to. But I am mostly playing fortnite now. BTW league puts a lot of effort inot their animated shorts too and they are pretty epic but it wont change the toxicity there either. It is not the community but it is strongly related to the community since this game is a MULTIPLAYER GAME! it has no option to play campaign... so wheter you love the gameplay or not you can not simply just close out your teammates. A lot of the people like to team play in a team game - shocker i know.

These shorts are so amazing. They are little too good, because the game don't fare well in comparison. It grinds my soul that the game don't do anything with the character development, they are just skins of these ability stacks. And the skins themselves are interchangeable, how the hell does loot-boxes make any kind of sense in this cool universe?
