My headcanon is that Peter, being a broke dude, was probably going to make the suit eventually, but could only afford to get the great responsibility suit. By the time he gets back to new york, miles has already made the suit, which Peter "still can't get over".

This would also explains why he says, "still can't get over that suit" which implies that this has had time to stir in his mind for awhile and he, 'still can't get over that suit', as opposed to something like "I can't get over that suit" or, "I don't know if I'll ever be able to get over that suit" both of which instead imply that this is a very recent thing.
There really isn’t any contradictions. Just because something isn’t mentioned doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. And the comments about 616 miles suit doesn’t mess with anything. Peter thinks the suit is cool, and of course it seems to imply he will make that suit for his miles, but in the game he tells miles he “still can’t get over that suit” as in he has seen it before and really likes it. This could easily be him meeting 616 miles, and this event would be why he was so willing and had faith miles could protect New York while he goes off with MJ. He has met a miles already that is a strong leader and hero. I don’t really think there is any timeline problems putting spider-geddon after the ps4 game.

What about the part in Spider-Geddon where he's telling his Miles he has to go and help in the Spider-Geddon and asks Miles to protect New York, when in MM, he is already doing that seemingly for the first time?
I don’t know much about Spidergeddon, but I do know there was some cool stuff. In my mind, I’m gonna shove it in between the two games, chalk it up to something about Peter not finding the time to make Miles a real suit, and that Miles creating one with that design is just something that happens across universes. Then Pete’s line about “man, I STILL can’t get over how cool that suit looks” means more, like he’s seen it before and even in all the time since, he’s still drooling. Also, if he’s met the 616 Miles at that point, he might have trusted his Miles more when they first met, and knew that he could leave the city in his hands for a while. Because he’s already worked with not just another Spider Man, but another Miles. It’s not perfect logic, but I think it’s well enough

I mean we don't know if Peter just gave Miles the first suit as a place holder until he got back to then make the red and black suit and miles just happened to make it himself, plus even though this might be far fetched but peter does say at the end of the game "man I STILL can't get over that suit" now that just might be a compliment and nod to the running gag that Peter still thinks miles's suit is cooler than his or maybe it's a nod for Peter's reaction to seeing that suit in Spider-geddon and seeing it again on his version of Miles but that's just my theory.
I’d love to see if the Miles game gets a sequel it would be an adaptation of Spider-Geddon

I think the reason he said I can’t get over that suit is he is still talking about the suit he saw miles had so he just can’t get over the suit both suits
Okay. I hear you. But what if on his way to get on the plane for his trip is when he deals with the multiverse, comes back in time for his trip, has that time to process the event and comes back surprised that Miles is wearing the suit he just saw on 616 Miles and is more so blown away by that bit of connection, I know I bet there's holes but that's the best I can come up with if anyone still wants to treat it as semicanon
That can't be the case as MJ is still working at the Bugel and Peter is in the city listening to Jameson talk about the events of the first game like they just occurred. The story was also made in 2018 before Miles Morales released with Peter going to Symcaria. Spider-Geddon is canon but takes place between The first game and the city that never sleeps. Peter shows concern for Miles in the comic telling him don't actively look for trouble but if theres an emergency whiles hes gone and Miles thinks he can handle it then to go ahead. In the adjacent panel he tells Superior spiderman that Miles is not ready to face a threat at the multiversal scale hes about to deal with. So he is not happy leaving an inexperienced non fully trained Miles alone with only MJ as a support but he has no choice given the severity of the threat the Inheritors pose. As for why he never made the suit he probably kept putting it off given how many other issues he had to deal with and Miles didn't really finish his training until right before Peter left for Symcaria where Peter trusts Miles to take over even then not making him the suit. He alluded to making the suit for his Miles in the conversation with 616 Miles but he didn't say when he would make the suit certainly not right after getting home to his universe. Assuming other people, websites and comments I looked into are correct and I believe they are the timeline is Hostile Takeover, Marvels Spider-Man(taking place in October 2018), Spider-Geddon (same month or November 2018), Velocity (December 2018) The City that Never Sleeps (Spring 2019), Wings of Fury (Unknown either summer/Fall 2019) and Miles Morales (December 2019). If Velocity really comes after Spider-Geddon that means Peter after only one month had to occupy his time making a new suit for himself (which despite existing gameplay wise in the first game it is canonically made in universe after the events of the game) making it even more difficult to invest time into developing Miles' suit. Why make a finished design for Miles when he is fresh off of training and being trusted with full Spidey duties on his own for the first time. Peter likely planned to make Miles a Black and red suit after Symcaria and not before as Miles wasn't ready. Miles also developed new Powers during the Rhino fight so Peter might have delayed his plans even beyond that. Miles and Ganky worked on those solutions themselves but they had the time to work on the design. The timeline works with or without Spider-Geddon and if they never reference it its up to the individual whether its canon but no the whole suit statement is not a contradiction.
Maybe Peter decided he wanted Miles to make the classic suit himself. And like AManOfCulture said, Peter saw the suit worn by 616 Miles and really like it.

I honestly still think spider geddon is canon for one reason. Every Spider-Man from each universe somehow comes up with the Spider-Man/woman suit on their own and though they vary from universe to universe, their costumes still look similar without them having not met each other before spider verse. So I think that despite PS4 Peter never having helped Miles make his suit, Miles didn't need to because every Miles in the multiverse who becomes Spider-Man would somehow end up with the suit in one way or another and Peter making the suit wouldn't have to be something that is required. Plus I saw another commenter below that mentioned that maybe PS4 Peter was surprised at how his Miles made almost the exact same suit as Ultimate Miles he met in spider geddon while also not being able to get over how cool Miles suit is even after seeing it on Ultimate Miles

I wish both spiderverse events had a small comic taking place after the events focusing on the changes to mayday parker character like at the end of first event there was the new addition to her world of uncle spider ben being there and the second event couldve had a cool comic following the fact her father was resurrected by the other and couldve made for a awesome and wholesome story revolving around that with them having to bring mc2 peter back to his senses using mayday parker mary jane parker and uncle ben couldbe made for a cool wholesome story in my opinion
Yea i was really hoping for something that ties the two together specifically the whole new suit for miles i thought that wouldve been dope plus theres the influence of superior spiderman leaving a spiderbot to watch over spiderman ps4 octavius possibly setting up insomniac version of superior spiderman maybe it has to do with mind erasing when the event ended not the first time weve seen it

I don't know about anyone else but I really enjoyed Ultimate Spider-Man and my favorite moments are the Spiderverse episodes
Man. I was so disappointed when the comic was non canon to the sequel. I was hoping maybe Peter would give Miles a variation of the suit and then later on Miles modifies it to resemble the Movie Suit more . This also means Peter never had a talk with Renew your Vows MJ about a possible relationship.

comics, he as probably another version of that peter. or he got pulled in right after the last fight and forgot it, because remember otto in spider-verse could not remember what happened to him and he came back just as soon as he left.
See now *my* theory is that....
The Peter from the Remaster And the Miles Morales game is a different one from Spider Geddon.... While the actual Peter featured in Spider Geddon is the John Bubniak Spider-Man from PS4
This explains why he doesn’t mention anything from the event and why he has a different face :)

I'm not really familiar with Mile's current comic book run, but like, do people still call him 'Spider-Man', despite there already existing The Spider-Man? Like, when Ben took up the mantle at the same time as pete he called himself Scarlet Spider, to differentiate himself, but like, how do people call them out, without explicitly saying "oh yeah I meant the BLACK Spider-Man!"...

I would guess that it would be a green lantern situation or flash, captain America, hulk, etc. multiple people using the same code name.

Except that Green Lanterns have their own designation and codes, and ideally there shouldnt be more than one lantern per sector, it's like a title anyway. Also. There's been plenty of Kid Flashes, etc. Captain America is a title though.

How I see it after Spider Geddon Peter WAS going to make Miles a black and red suit as a suprise (hence why he acts like he hasn't seen it before here 3:18) but becuase he didn't have the time or money to make it he bought him the Great Responsibility suit instead. Peter also told Miles about his adventures during Spider Geddon but they don't talk about it too much because it hurts their brains with their being a whole multiverse. Since Peter also doesn't have the Symbiote suit in Across the Spider Verse Miguel must've recruited him before MSM2
I would just say that this version of Peter is not the main ps4 version of Peter we can just say that he's from a universe which in which his timeline is extremely similar to the PS4 version of Peter and that the only real change is that he got involved with the spider geddon and that in that universe instead of giving miles the power and responsibility suit he gives him the main suit that Miles makes later on in his game
Here, I know what happened. Spidergeddon takes place after Spider-Man PS4, but Miles Morales is a sequel to Spider-Man PS5 Remaster, as evident by the Peter Parker face change that is in both version of Miles Morales, but obviously only the PS5 version of Spider-Man.
It's probably better that it isn't.

The multiverse is infinite. for instance we see the spiderfreinds died but a version of that universe still exists. It fits into an alternate multiverse using ps4 spidey. Ah screw nvm go with what makes ya feel good.
