    Dark Shadows is calibrated at level 5. Usually put in brighter colors to smoke them out a bit or to prevent hot roots.

    This is a fantastic idea! Even swatching tried and true formulas to keep in a book to show clients could be beneficial.

    Guy Tang's shadows color usually used for root shadows. Prolly level 5-6 cool color.

    Wow I needed this video, I’m thinking about starting to offer color and Kenra seems to have a lot of pretty options for permanent, Demi and fashion colors! I’m glad I got to see you tone a few of theirs! I have been using shades eq but definitely not precisely the right way 😅

    Love the video. Very intriguing to me. Glad I got to watch the whole journey of you doing color swatches from beginning to end. 😃🙌🏾👏🏾

    Jamie Do you always lift color before applying shades eq/other toners...even if they're a level 9 or 10; or platinum white? I've always been concerned about porosity or holes from previous colors/bleaching perms; and overprocessing. Thank you love your videos and your joyful attitude!

    The blondeme toners are genuinely amazing! I used them in the first salon I worked at and I still use them. They work great!

    Jamie when I have a gray/white hair client JOICO NG line with 5 volume last and is such great colors. Since the hair is white naturally . Shades doesn’t last or deposit enough but joico permanent color like 9/8 line is such a great color line. Even for low lights. The Lumishine NG is a great line but they have many.

    If you are doing a silver/ gray transformation like Jack Martin will you be applying lightener in foils processing for up to 4 hours, reapplying every 50 minutes to an hour? That is how he applies lightener. Do you agree with doing that? Or do you process for up to an hour with lightener and you go with whatever lift you are able to achieve? Do you agree with lightener on the hair for hours at a time even with a bonder being used?

  • @riverargueta7595
    @riverargueta7595 Před 3 lety

    That’s an awesome idea Jamie ! But what about the longevity of the toners ? I can experiment with every color line but when it comes to toner canceling out unwanted pigments, how do know that the color will hold enough for the client’s hair ?
