I would not object to litter wardens _IF_ they were employed directly by the local Council. I cannot abide these contracted private company creeps. It is an utter corruption.
It wouldn't matter if they were employed directly by the council's or not, the council's are the ones who give them the incentive to do what they do, we used to have them in Maidstone Kent, employed direct by the council, and the behaviour was no different, hiding around corners spying on people, and all sorts.
They aren't even security they are environmental enforcement ie litter inspector's, security would need an SIA licence, and still would have no authority on the street, and these guys have zero training zero credentials and zero authority, and where probably bulled and abused at school.
